What's the budget?

K&N filters are great because they have a nut on the bottom, which makes removing them so much easier than a regular filter. Worth paying extra for that alone. If not, then I used to use either UFI or just go OEM if I was passing.

About a month or so I get so impatient! Well, the suspension should be here next week, and she's tentatively booked in for the 19th for the engine work so I'll probably just get all that done at the same time. Wheels arrive tomorrow so they should be on next week as I'm at JAE this weekend, the seats will take a little longer though as I need to take the trip to DT first, which needs planning in. I've got a Wales run in October with friends so I want the suspension stuff done before then, at the very least. The engine work may not happen before the Wales run as the guy doing it did his ankle in the other week, so he may not be back in time to complete before I go away. If that's the case, I'll just get the suspension sorted with the wheels on.

Not worth it IMHO, most folks pack up and leave by lunchtime on Sunday so there's very little to see/do.

It's not though. It's only lately that this fascination with emissions has come about, any tax is primarily about making money as easy as possible. The government has just done a good PR job convincing us that we're saving the planet too.

Good thing too, else we'd all be paying much more for our flights.

Think about the worst case scenario, i.e. what happens if I run a filter that doesn't filter properly? Well, you end up with larger particles being sucked directly into your engine, and the damage that could cause. Now ask yourself again if you should change it for one that fits properly.

So when I did my Spain trip by myself, I must've been the most selfish person in the world ever by not inviting anyone from here when I posted it up. Wow, I didn't realise what a c**t I'd been. Sorry about that guys.

I kinda know what you mean, but then I see the 997.2 and the 991 C4 cars and I just think the strip looks awful. It doesn't suit the car at all. I think it was more a style thing, as there were plenty of cars that had joined up lights or lookalike panels on the rear in the 80's, and I think the styling just died a death.

All of which is irrelevant, as that'll be down to the drivers more than anything, and we all know that it's much harder to set lap times when you're racing (even semi Battle-style racing).
