  1. Is that not £19.50 each for the HR ? Ooh you're right, I was looking at the wrong bit of text on there. Serves me right for not checking and just assuming it'd be as it was when I bought the Clio some the other day. Both are actually priced per plug! http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Nissan_350Z_3.5_2004/p/car-parts/engine-parts/ignition1/spark-plug/?408771120&1&6d35c91ce6a2296ca13068f679627a9b1788230a&000301 is the correct link for a single DE plug, nowt better on the HR though.
  2. *LINKS REMOVED TO STOP CONFUSION* *ALSO BECAUSE I'M A KNOB AND DIDN'T READ PROPERLY* All six for £19.50. Don't waste your money on super wonderful magic fairy dust plugs, no need for them. *EDIT* That's for an HR. That's for the DE, £13.24.
  3. It really doesn't. Unless the ECU is mapped for it, then you can put in whatever you want and it won't make the blindest bit of difference. Of course, you can run more boost or advance the timing if you're running 105 for example, but again that just reinforces the point that it's all about the mapping. Standard, FI or engine swap, you won't see the difference unless mapped. If you have to run 99 because you get substantial knock on 97, then I'd be having a strong word with the tuner personally, For example, my MR2 runs as happily on 97 as it does on 99, and I notice more difference in the power when the temp drops than I do on any fuel I put in.
  4. I've only just put two and two together, and figured out you're the same Linus27 from SELOC! Having just picked PCars for the PC up as well, I don't suppose you've any recommendations as to where to download decent steering wheel calibration settings + car setups from by any chance? I'm using a Thrustmaster TX wheel.
  5. How much info do you want?! Your car will not do more than 6500 rpm safely. You cannot EVER do more than that without major engine work. Just because the speedo says 180mph, doesn't mean your car can do that either
  6. No, it doesn't. The rev counter might, but the engine doesn't.
  7. Has anyone passed in anything decent?!
  8. Erm, no. Just no. It's there for a reason. Unless you've strengthened your engine, you need it right where it is.
  9. Mk4 Escort 1.3L Bonus. My first ever car, a 17th birthday present from my lovely parents.
  10. 1972, apparently. Close!
  11. Can a mod please edit the title, my OCD can't take the rogue apostrophe any more
  12. It makes absolutely no sodding difference whether you use 97, 99 or 105 unless you've specifically mapped for it. As long as the fuel is made to the correct BS, and they all are, then that's all that matters. The 350/370 wasn't made in the 1960s, so it'll be fine
  13. For those of you that watch Eastenders, does your vagina twinge in excitement when it's on?
  14. MPSS will do about 50% more mileage, like for like driving. Unless the alternative is half the price, it's always more cost effective to buy the MPSS. The fact they stick like sh*t to a blanket and have masses of feel too is just a nice bonus.
  15. I was going to answer, but then I had something better to do.
  16. Set of 888s and a trackday.
  17. 'Course it was, used by various people when the launch took place and they didn't like the original concept.
  18. I call it the Xbone for the same reason homosexuals use the word queer: Initially, it was an insult, so I've reclaimed the word to be positive instead
  19. Which Potenzas? RE050A or RE040? If they're 040 then bin the horrible things, if 050A then good choice I run both road and track tyres, depends on what I've got floating around or what I'm driving. I normally drive there on the nearly dead set (but still legal, I hasten to add) then set about destroying them on track. I then bring the new ones with me, and swap over either at lunch or at the end of the day. But yes, absolutely a great idea to flog them on eBay or wherever to get some cash back. Good track settings almost never make good road settings, hence the odd tyre wear. Never bothered me as long as I get 10K from a road set of tyres then that's just an annual cost, and I'll easy get that if I buy track tyres as well and keep them on a spare set of wheels.
  20. Yeah that's right, just checking
  21. You don't actually do a summons, you know that?
  22. No, you don't! Do you honestly think that they are going to turn around and tell him to pay you back, and that he's then going to do so out of the kindness of his heart? No, of course not. They will advise him, and he doesn't have to tell you what they said, so he'll sit there until you bug him again. Then you're another month down the road and no closer. Just go and start the proceedings now, you can do it all online, these things don't just happen overnight. At least he'll know you're serious then. Right now, he's gambling you'll just go away.
  23. Perfectly normal. it's the Ackermann principle in effect. Happens on every car with wide tyres.
  24. I want a Tower Zinger Burger now, you git.
  25. Well, indeed! Even if they tell him he needs to refund, unless you chase it he's not going to do anything, is he?
