Star Wars - The Force Awakens Discussion *SPOILERS*
Ekona replied to marzman's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Yeah, and then the ground opens up and separates them: It's only at that point she runs away. Beforehand, she's clearly still in two minds. That's the idea, to show that she's not entirely 100% good. It shows the conflict, in the same way Kylo Ren is conflicted the other way. -

The only reason she didn't kill him is because the ground separated! -

Nah, I thought that was very well acted, he came across as proper tormented. He doesn't look mean, but he acts it which is good enough for me. -
Oh absolutely, just making sure you'd got it covered off

Agreed. I would send the estate agents a very short letter stating what you asked for, what was delivered and what you've had to get remedied yourself. Point out what you owe, point out what you've had to spend, and then point out that miraculously both sums cancel each other out (even if they don't, make them by reducing the costs on your side). Remind them that you have no contract with the contractor, and if the contractor feels they do then ask them to supply a signed copy of it. Clearly they can't, so I'd ignore it. You may be out of pocket, but I'd use common sense and walk away at this point. Also, don't forget to get a legionella risk assessment done for the property if you're renting it out, a lot of people forget about this. Apologies if you're aware and have already sorted it.

You're right about the droids: I've never really like C3PO or R2, but somehow BB8 was really endearing. I hope that Daisy ends up in a gold bikini at some point too -
Welcome to yesterday

Labyrinth. The Bowie film. Scary as f*ck. I still can't watch that, even today.
-
Since it's Star Wars week, you could watch The Phantom Menace. That's pretty horrific viewing.

Wouldn't bother at all. On something expensive like a Ferrari or Porsche then yes, but there's no real benefit on a Z.

Oh no doubt it'll earn a ton more, with merchandising as well I suspect this film alone will come close to recouping the £2.5Bn they paid for the rights. -

It's Andy Serkis, so could be anything Also, does this film make Simon Pegg the first man to star in both Wars and Trek films? -

Dude, the title of the thread has SPOILER in it, I think it's safe to assume people will know not to click unless they've seen it! Yeah, Poe needs a bigger part/explanation I think. I genuinely didn't mind how Han died, but then I was never attached to him in the way many SW fans are: For me, he was just a guy, and Luke was always the proper hero. Also, I reckon Rey could turn out to be proper evil. She was f*cking psycho when going mental at Kylo Ren at the end, just like Anakin was when he went after Obi Wan... -

Just left the cinema. It was good, really good, but I feel a bit empty tbh. - It basically made 4-6 completely pointless, and pretended they didn't exist. - It's essentially an identical story to 4. Big bad enemy owns the galaxy ruled by evil ugly bad guy we never meet, his bad apprentice has a big red sword and is related to one of the good guys, they make a big floating weapon to destroy the uprising, and random youngster from a desert planet saves the world. Yawn. - You could see someone getting killed a mile off. Mid way through I thought to myself it was either going to be Han or Chewie, but as soon as Han stepped onto the bridge that was as clear as day. - I'm glad they did kill Han off, Ford is really getting on as an actor and the role didn't suit him at that age. Legend, but it was the right call. - The next film really needs to be a prequel. There's so much we need to know: Who is Rai, why did people take her family, what really happened between Luke & Kylo Ren, how did the First Order suddenly get so powerful, how did the Republic end up useless again, why did a droid decide to go into safe mode and not speak for god knows how many years, did no-one notice ever that R2 had a handy chunk of map missing with a handy course already laid in...? Sooooo many plot holes, I'm just trusting in the vision that the next two films will cover this all off, otherwise we've just watched The Phantom Menace pt2. - It took Anakin years of study to master the Force, it took Luke a few weeks/months with the greatest Jedi Master ever, but Rai went from not knowing the Force at all to using mind tricks and force pull in a few hours? Really?! - Surely, she has to be Luke's daughter. The young leads were excellent, very well cast and superbly acted. The scene where the X-Wings come in over the water was a tingly-spine moment, and later on when it went all first-person from the cockpit was just amazingly well shot. It was a proper JJ Abrams film, the angles and set pieces were as good as I hoped. The comedy was a bit overdone perhaps, but most of it worked well I think and I say that as someone who didn't really enjoy the funny bits in 4-6. I need to watch it again, but for me it was missing *something*. I can only hope that it all becomes clear in the next films. -

Fair enough then, solves that issue Tbh I've never even heard of those tyres, much less ever considered putting them on a sports car. -
No harm in both.
-
You wouldn't want that engine anywhere near a road car. Tbh, you wouldn't want it anywhere near a racecar either!

Even better then, just pop the wheel off and run it down to them -

Almost certainly, the OSR looks backwards to me. Drive with *extreme* caution (like 30mph max) to the tyre place, and get them to sort. -
As I said on FB, if it does then the 300bhp would be the perfect choice. Drop the weight of the car, problem solved. What's a list lump btw?
-
Nope, that's the slave/master issue. It won't boil just sitting in traffic, it just seems like that's the cause. It's because the seal is on its way out, and the constant use in traffic exacerbates the wear. Get them both changed ASAP.

the trouble with that is - on the whole you need to give a genuine contact number for a supplier ? If they're a reputable company then they can have my proper number, but for stuff like getting random insurance quotes I always use fake details, and the house next door to me for the address part. Once I know who I need to look for to get proper quotes, then I can be selective about the details I give out.
-
Or you could just put a fake number in, like 01234 567890. Job done. At least, that number doesn't belong to anyone I know! Juggalo's idea is ace though!
