  1. I was going off a customer review, like most people do. The fact that customers have been trying to get through to him and cannot because he can't/won't return phonecalls or emails would seem a trifle daft to me, especially if what Pritchard says is true, however clearly it's working for Taras. You're right, he doesn't have to visit here, so fair comment on that. However, the fact his first visit in two months is to have a pop back at me rather than apologise for not contacting the OP speaks volumes. That said, this thread is doing the OP no favours and I've made my point, so I'll leave it at that. People are free to make up their own mind as to whether they would want to deal with someone who is clearly difficult to get hold of.
  2. What sort of ungrounded statement is this?! You haven't done business with us at all.. Generalising like this is ridiculous. Ungrounded? Hardly. Pritchard, who has used you, has said that you tend to reply more to emails with flowery subjects in the title. If that's wrong then fine, I hold my hands up, but guess what? The fact that you tend to ignore this place unless prompted by your mate (your last post was January, I notice) kinda also gives the game away. The OP has been desperately trying to get hold you of you with zero luck, and I very much doubt that if Adrian hadn't prompted you that would continue to be the case. And yes, I am negative, especially when confronted with BS. I have a relatively low tolerance for stuff like that. Although I'm not a keyboard warrior at all, I'll happily say whatever I say on here to your face. Ask Amy if you want proof. Taras, I'm sure your work is good and I'm not knocking that at all. What I was implying is that choosing to reply to customers selectively on whether or not they choose to decorate the subject line on their email is a ridiculous way to do business. Of that, I'm pretty sure you'd agree with me.
  3. Sorry bud, that's incorrect. More horsepower != faster. With better tyres and brakes you accelerate quicker, turn harder, and stop in less distance. That's how you'll go faster, and it'll be a significant difference too.

    Coilovers

Are you looking for a full coilover conversion, or as per the OEM setup?
  5. That's a ridiculous way to do business.
  6. Your fault, not theirs. It's a give way line, so you should already be adjusting your speed and position to merge without affecting other road users. I happily pass on the right on a slip road, if it allows a safer entry. Given the limit is 70mph and a lot of traffic in L1 will be doing 55mph, there's no reason not to.
  7. 7c is the cut off usually.
  8. I stroke your face while you sleep

Clearly not you as I replied 1 month ago

  9. Just had a read of that PPC article Col, it's pretty good stuff and fair comment most of it. Biggest issue they miss out is the valve stem seal wear on the N62 engine, but otherwise it's a very positive article and a good reminder as to why I bought a pikey no-frills manual car: They do mention about the leaky gearbox and the risk of dodgy electrics an awful lot! Also it gives a figure as to the amount of manual cars out there, which is about 10%. A fairly rare beasty I have indeed, which is good to know.
  10. At least it matches the rest of the car then For now...
  11. Ooh, might take a nose at that, thanks
  12. I was so tempted to get a colour on it, but I have no idea what colour I'm doing elsewhere on the car yet so I didn't want to limit myself. Plus this way it won't put anyone off resale as it still looks OEM. Sorry if you nodded off whilst making it though
  13. I've always been the latter, I just have badges now
  14. Q1 and Q2 were okay, and in fairness it'd be better in Q3 if you had a yellow or some rain, but when it's like today it's just moronic. It's not about equalising the grid, it's about punishing success and I hate the idea.
  15. Oh yeah, and I pinched the bits from an M wheel as well, the plastics were in better condition than mine and the colour is smarter too. Just means I have another bloody M badge on the car
  16. One thing I've always hated about the Bummer is the steering wheel. The leather is rock hard, no give, and it's just too thin. A quick chat with Si at Hide n Seat and we came up with a plan and a cost that was more than acceptable to me. I wanted something subtle rather than lairy, and quality was of the utmost importance. In the end I went from this: To this: Full retrim in smooth Nappa leather, black stitching all round, and a TDC line in perforated leather. Normally you'd go for a colour for that line, but in my old car it was marked out with just a pressing in the leather and I really liked it, so wanted something similar but that would stand out a fraction more. I also asked Si to fatten the wheel up as well, and he's given me the perfect diameter to it, about 5mm more than I had which makes a huge difference. I'm absolutely delighted with it, the quality is every bit as good as I hoped for, and it's improved the feedback through the steering as well. The steering wheel is the one thing you always have contact with in the car (well, and the seat) and it's so important to get it right. Now it is, and massive thanks to Si for the quick turnaround on this too, highly recommended
  17. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing Just messing OP, much kudos for giving the task a go, most people get terrified of it so fair play to you sir
  18. Did you not think that maybe they needed to go back on in a certain order?
  19. This is why you always change coils and plugs one at a time You'll need a diagram of which lead goes to which plug. Or a fellow Zed to copy from.
  20. Because your timing will be all over the place. It'll be firing the wrong cylinder at the wrong time.
