  1. Tell you what though, I can't imagine things *not* getting done with him in charge. He's from a business world not a political one, so if someone isn't doing exactly what he says then that person will be out the door. I'm not saying that that would necessarily be a good thing, but it would shake the system up. At the moment the US, even more so than here, play fast and free with politics to get them to where they want to be, rather than what they actually believe in. Interesting times ahead.
  2. Interesting bit on the P90D in Car magazine this month. The car projected a 120 mile range on the trip computer, but only gave them a 75 mile range on a motorway commute. Genuine question now: If the batteries are improving in size, does it not take longer to charge them?
  3. Part of me really does want him to win, just so I can see the reaction from all the liberal lefty hand wringers. It'll be just like when then Tories got back in, but even worse!
  4. Everyone loves a Morgan!
  5. I so hope Trump wins, I really do.
  6. Where's the whoosh parrot when you need him?
  7. I think someone has swapped your I and A keys around mate.
  8. Project LWOWTROATLATCTTOCEPAMARAATAMAIVA. Sounds Lithuanian to me. Bloody Europeans!
  9. I want my Community Action Trust cash reward! /old '80s advert
  10. Ah, bugger Typical DVLA! Actually, looks like you can't download it any way as you need to put a new photo with it. Could (walk ) to the Post Office and pick one up?
  11. Unless you've sent the completed forms off, you really don't meet that criteria at all mate. Not being a pain here (well, no more so than usual!) but I honestly wouldn't be driving unless I had a written letter from the DVLA confirming that they are happy for you to do so. You risk being uninsured too, which is arguably a bigger risk than just being done for not driving in accordance. You can download the forms from the interweb, get it sent off today then you're covered
  12. Nope, never shred anything. Don't own a tin foil hat, either. Interesting about the DVLA saying you're okay to drive, that only applies if you've actually already applied for the new one: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/458792/INF188X6_221014.pdf
  13. If your plastic one is out of date, you cannot drive until you've been issued a new one. To do so is to drive other than in accordance with a licence, and gives hefty points and a fine. I threw my paper bit away last year.
  14. The title is Greatest Drives. No chance a diesel E46 is a Greater Drive than a 360CS. Not even close. This is why no-one takes Auto Express seriously any more, and hasn't done for years. Well, that and the ridiculous 'artist impression scoop' stories they run all the time. Come on, blinkers off, you don't think that's even a tiny bit odd? Good god, that 330Cd is six places higher than an M3 CSL, which is superior in every single way unless you really must get 40mpg. No-one's arguing that the 350Z isn't a great car. What I am saying is that that list is an utter load of tosh.
  15. Almost goes without saying
  16. Do a Bruce Willis in Harlem. Probably best to make your own sandwich board when you're there, shipping one over would be a right pain.
  17. I don't care what name is on the front. That is an absolute load of rubbish, that list. Go on then, BMW diesel or one of the greatest V8 Ferraris ever? Tell me I'm wrong.
  18. Any magazine that genuinely places an E46 330d over a 360CS clearly has zero idea what they're talking about. Completely ridiculous. You'd rather have a Mini than an Exige, or a WR1, or an FQ330? No. No-one in their right mind would.
  19. Is it the best? No. Is it bloody well good enough? Damn right. Handling is very subjective though, and a good driver in a Clio will leave a poor driver in a Zed for dead. That said, a good driver in a 350 will leave a poor driver in a GT3 for dead too, as Doc perfectly shows above
  20. Not me, I only do 60
  21. You would think, wouldn't you? I've always thought they did well by leaving the actual Triangle void of policing, as it's a relatively safe bit of road (especially the well-sighted Western leg) and it does attract the tourism. However, as soon as we start to get accidents and published incidents like the one mentioned then that's going to change rapidly I fear. It would be nice if petrolheads could curb their enthusiasm a little to keep the driving safe albeit quick. but for some the temptation is just too much. Honda guy got very, very lucky, as that would've been really nasty. I wonder if they'd go for plenty of hits of 40s in a 30, or a handful of 120s in a 60? One makes good figures in the boring annual list, one gets some great headlines for the Force in question.
  22. I always thought you'd had enough of people laughing at your zinger
  23. Stick your fingers in, if they hurt then the fans are working
  24. And where do you you think a nice easy place to put that would be?
