  1. Was always coming. Just one more reason to switch off.
  2. I've done it twice, when I was younger. Never, ever again.
  3. If you want lows, you need air.
  4. I scuffed mine within 40mins of putting them on

I'm 36 and I'm still blaming my parents for stuff.

    New GTR

The exterior is a bit meh, it's barely touched at all and now looks a bit fussy. Wheels on paddles = good though, and about time too! However, this quote from Stevo on FB sums up the rest of the interior: "the GTR interior looks like they said yes a lexus interior please then gave it to daihatsu to make"
  9. I agree with Brillo, just stop doing her stuff. No clean clothes, no food, she'll soon get fed up of that. I wouldn't not clean the cats out as that's not fair on them, and I wouldn't want to live in a craphole either so I'd still be cleaning. It's a bit awkward since you've got kids, but you could take all the plates and cutlery away (lock them round a mate's house or in a box at work or whatever) apart from one set for you and the kids. That way, you only ever wash up what is yours and theirs, and she will have to have paper plates and plastic cups and cutlery. That would get tiring for her really fast...

    Not yet. But one day.
  11. That's not a marriage, that's slavery. No chance in hell I'd be putting up with that without having a moan/making sure the other half did an equal share.
  12. The fact that infrastructure in this country has been criminally underinvested in should be no surprise to anybody, either side of the debate. New Labour had the funds and the structure to invest massively when they were in power, and they failed. The last two governments haven't got a pot to p*ss in, so no chance of that changing. This includes transport, education, and healthcare. Why do I mention this? It's because that's where people are noticing the direct results of increased local population (note, not immigration) and it's why people are blaming Johnny Handout Foreigner for everything. Well, you're wrong. Population has constantly been increasing worldwide for decades now, this isn't a recent thing at all. Do you think that immigrants are coming here willingly to be told they can't get a doctor appointment for one month*, or that their benefits are being cut? Of course not. There's more natural borns here claiming benefits than immigrants as a whole by a country mile. They've never paid in, they have no intention of paying in, they're just happy to breed and suck the system dry. IMMIGRATION ON THE LOWEST WAGE GRADES WILL NOT DROP AT ALL IF WE LEFT THE EU. You're blind if you think they will! The reason that you see a lot of 'foreigners' (not forgetting that British people can have accents and not have English as their first language too) taking low paid jobs is that they'll work harder and do whatever you ask of them. It's easier for employers to employ British naturals than foreigners by far, so do you not think they would if they had a choice? We as a nation desperately need unskilled labour as much as we need skilled professionals like doctors and male teachers. Ultimately, you might find we actually need to encourage MORE immigration if we leave, by offering more handouts... What we need to do is control where the immigration goes to. No point them going to places where the infrastructure cannot cope, so settle them in places that can. Reduce taxes and rates for businesses in the North, Wales and Scotland to encourage business to invest, thus creating a sustainable economy. Stop this nonsense about taxing business more, it helps no-one. We need more willing workers here, and tbh I'd rather take money away from a lazy Brit and give it to a hardworking Romanian. So yeah, big rant about the basics. Soz boz.
  13. Working at an airport like I do, days like yesterday are a trifle unsettling to say the least.
  14. You missed the point. The exact numbers aren't comparable, what I'm saying is that for precisely zero extra spend I got a car that was worth £30k more.
  15. Or, since you did yours early, I wonder if they changed the wording on the email to reflect that they were going to send proper tickets out.
  16. Don't discount stuff over £50K: Check the figures! For example, back in 2010 £10K + £900pcm put me into an E92 M3 or a 911. The only difference was the balloon, which was completely irrelevant as like you I only looked at the monthly outgoing. The exact same money put me in a much better car, so do go and ask around first.
  17. My poor little MX5 couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, much less overtake anything
  18. I reckon 200bhp/ton is quick, with 300+/ton getting on for rapid. Personal opinion, YMMV etc.
  19. Personally I'd be looking at something different since you already have an EP3 there. New MX5 not tick any boxes? Beautiful looking car, easily modifiable, and a convertible for the summer days. If you can get one, a FRS will be a better car and hold value infinitely better.
  20. ^^^ Much better idea, however that doesn't cover off his servicing and warranty requirements. In theory I absolutely agree with you, I'd much rather buy something older but better, but I can see the attraction of a new vehicle.
  21. So does mine, but it's still not the ticket Does your email not say "This email is confirmation of your order. Your club ticket(s) and vehicle pass(es) will be sent out prior to the event. Your club pack will be dispatched no later than two weeks before the event."?
