At the end of the day we want to fill the wheel arch with rubber whether the car is lowered or bigger wheels, with standard wheels i can feel the undertray just rubbing on the stupid speed humps and with the bigger wheels its no problem Should be zero difference unless you've altered the profiles so much you've actually raised the car. The other possibility is that you've now got such little give in the sidewalls that the car is bouncing up off the bumps rather than the suspension (including sidewall) soaking it up.

Eeep!
-
What has wheel size got to do with speed bumps and road kill?
-
It's not, it's just a mental thing people have with cars. I'd either flog it and get something different, or repair it.
-
I very much doubt a low production car like this will have low running costs. They'll have you over a barrel for parts and servicing.
-
And just look at it. It's an instant cure for insomnia.

And PC now too! But no, nothing like NFSU. It's Test Drive Unlimited, but better.

If you like tiny cars with crappy suspension, duff steering, wheezy turbo four pot engines, clunky gear changes, and of course those front lights, then by all means get a 4C. If not, I'd suggest getting a decent car instead. The 981.1 Boxster with the flat six is one of the greatest cars you'll ever drive, and we may never see its kind again. Hell, if it's a tiny weekend car you want for that budget then get an Elise with the IPS gearbox, or if you can find one an Exige.

Move house if you're that worried.

Changing reg plates - confused by DVLA
Ekona replied to Dynamic Turtle's topic in Off Topic Discussion
DVLA = f***ing useless. Ring them up, it's the only way now. -
I certainly wouldn't swap both cars for the Jag, in either guise. The TVR will always do the fun thing plus hold value well if looked after, but really the 350Z seems to be the spare wheel now: If you want to go for a fun drive the Tuscan is surely a bag more fun, and is the 350 really that much better as a GT than the TVR? I'm not convinced. I do think you'd be bonkers to get rid of the TVR now though, I really do. What's the Zed worth, £8k absolute worst case? Anything else around there that floats your boat?

They are though! The Mustang isn't great for vision as that bonnet sits a loooooong way ahead, and it's a big car that is going to be more awkward in tiny UK car parking spaces. Plus proper rear seats etc. It's a no brainer!
-
If it's a pool car then the Focus over the Stang, easy. Smaller, easier to park, better vision, more practical.

I think Hugh is on about the mk3, not the mk2. I'd have one, even with that interior.
-
They'll be absolutely fine. DT have no idea, they're reading from a catalogue. I'd go with the reality of someone actually running them over a computer.

+1 on using a brush with Megs tyre gel, I find it very therapeutic laying there at the end of a detailing session lightly brushing it it on with a quality bristle stick.

Bearing gone?

325 is the same width as a Gallardo rear tyre. And they have 500bhp to move it!

I don't think I want to live on this planet any more

It is necessary though, if you want better battery life and funky new hardware like haptic feedback buttons. Or you end up having to put up with a larger phone, and I think we're borderline on acceptable on that right now as it is. I don't mean to come across as an Apple apologist: I mean, I like their products but my love for the company has waned in recent years (been a while since I did a 3am queue for a new phone!). They do still however seem to be the only company that's willing to take a risk and try something different, for better or worse. People moaned like crazy at the Lightning connector: Now look at the USB-C standard, it's going the exact same way and will also replace the need for a 3.5mm jack eventually. ApplePay appears to have brought contactless to the US market in a way that nothing else has. Then of course you have the Watch, which even Apple don't seem to really know what it wants to be
-
I guess it depends on how often you use headphones, and whether you want wireless ones or not. I'm due for an upgrade anyway, will be a good excuse when I eventually get round to needing a new phone.
-
If you like the current 1P1 then I'd say just get the 1P3, as you know what you're getting and it's going to be faster than what you have. If you do fancy a change, I couldn't look past the S7E myself. Lovely thing, if a little light.

Proposal permission from future father in law
Ekona replied to jimboy2's topic in Off Topic Discussion
"Oh, really? Umm, well tbh I think she could do a lot better, and if you think you're getting a penny out of me towards it then you're mistaken, but ultimately if she's daft enough to say yes then that's her mistake to make. I'll just pay for the lawyer to draw up the prenup in her favour, and make sure she stiffs you in the divorce. So yeah, go on then."
