  1. I'm amazed they let one go, I thought they were absolute sticklers for not having trademarked things on cards? Although in this case clearly there's nothing left that's recognisable!
  2. Yup, identical fitments.
  3. Never, ever, ever use the pressure gauge to judge oil level. Ever. It's as useless as a useless thing for that purpose. At this point tbh I'd be dropping the oil out of the engine and measuring exactly what was in there. You can then (hopefully) add more if needed or (hopefully not!) remove some, and then when you measure the level on the dipstick you will know exactly what full is supposed to look like.
  4. I so need to start doing some drifting
  5. On the flip side, I always buy the first car I look at, never gone wrong yet
  6. I'm not convinced you've got the hang of this yet
  7. They look about the right prices to me, I've certainly never seen them any cheaper than that. In fact, that's cheaper than what I paid for my 245/45/18s back in January of last year when I bought the BMW. If you saw them at £130 a tyre then that's just ridiculously cheap. At £160, they're an utter bargain. Now I have even less time for people who run cheaper inferior rubber on their cars!
  8. Zafira should be around in that budget too?
  9. No idea where you've seen that, they're actually cheaper now than when I bought mine back in the summer. I paid about £220 for a 275/40/18, they're down to £190 now. Perhaps it's down to the sizes you're after? Bearing in mind they stopped making certain sizes in the summer, and only carried on where there was an OEM supplied fitment.
  10. Good god man, I'm nearly 40 and even I've heard of bantz
  11. Skinflint is as old as the hills, on both sides of the border. It's up there with 'bobbins'.
  12. Really? Because most people on here do when they spend £2k to get 3bhp but won't spend a couple of hundred more to go significantly faster.
  13. Because any effort you put into the tone is wasted, and better spent on making it go faster. If it sounds great then wonderful, but keeping it quiet is more important unless you're going racing. Track days are already getting restricted by too much noise, no need to help the NIMBYs out and do their jobs for them. 96dB is a reasonable target, you'll probably get that with just dropping a Cobra or Scorpion exhaust on I reckon. Removing the cats will make it A LOT louder, and it'll also sound raspy and horrid. As it's not going to be a track car at all for another year at least, I'd stick to something like that. Spend the extra on a set of R888Rs for the track
  14. I know you win the October award for "Most Bobbins Posted In A Single Post Of The Month", that's for sure.
  15. We prefer Trekkers, actually. Trekkies is the insulting term.
  16. You'll need to run cats and a relatively stock exhaust, as otherwise you won't be getting anywhere near a track I'm afraid. It'll be just too loud. Personally I'd go with some quality hi-flow cats (Berks et al) or just run the stock ones, and then probably get a custom exhaust made to enable tunable baffles to be fitted for ease on track. Strict limits means you can add more easily, on a noisy day you can then happily remove if you want. As a track-only car, you really shouldn't be concerned about tone or how loud it is at all: Your responsibility should be to keep the noise as low as possible to stop NIMBYs complaining and getting tracks closed/restricted.
  17. No, because diesel = tractor. Now, an E92 335i and an S2K would indeed be the perfect two-car garage...
  18. Door is over there, man card deposit box is to your left. Have a nice day.
