  1. Does it cover third parties as well? That's what concerns me about accidents at the Ring, as that's where the big payouts will come.
  2. TFR will strip wax, so that's fine if that's the goal. Personally I only use the stuff on commercial vehicles, as it can be quite harsh if you're not careful. But then, that's the idea!

    265/40/18 square

A square tyre setup will make the VDC far more likely to intervene (like much, much more) as you'll have altered the balance front to rear. This will make the car far more likely to oversteer, so you'll probably want to run with the VDC off permanently to stop it ruining all the fun. Unless you know what you're doing and are happy for a tail happy car, most people are better off running a staggered tyre setup. You can still do that on square setup wheels, if that's the goal. Not passing judgement on driving skills, just saying what works for the majority.
  4. Did you ask what sponge it was? Could've been a Zymol or DJ one... Not all sponges are created equal, and there's a good argument for using a decent sponge over a wash mitt. Also a good argument the other way, mind!
  5. Gotcha Personally I would be against that as a change to the global settings, as you can see who the thread starter was already because it tells you, but if there's an option for it later down the line I can see why some might want that.
  6. Not sure what you mean by that? Makes sense to me, Col is the one who just replied so it's his avatar on display: Do you mean you'd want the OP avatar shown all the time?
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/40488056 Vettel to face NFA. Basically I suspect they had a meeting, read him the riot act and made him make a statement saying how it was all his fault and he was a numpty.

    Changing gear knob

^^^ best knob. Loved mine, removed any need for a proper short shifter with that.
  9. Ah yes, forgot you've got that coming up shortly. Ironically that's something I wouldn't bother with cover for, same as a Walshy day.
  10. Excess will almost always be 10% of the value of the car regardless of insurer, so I would see that as about right. £130 is a bargain IMHO should some muppet plough into the side of you.
  11. You can also ask for cash in lieu of repair, which saves the car being marked as a Cat D write off. You'll prob get a smaller payout, but worth considering.
  12. I like the shape, but not the taste.

I read that thread on FB, I thought the author made a very valid point. Also, and this may just be me, but I think he's kinda hot too.
  14. You won't get many results until the search function finishes indexing. However, when it's done then clicking 'Content I posted in' will find your stuff. Or you can just use the regular search function too, again when the forum is finished faffing.
  15. 4'07": They're LMP3, not LMP1 That's a really good video bud, I enjoyed watching that. What time were you at St Saturnin btw? I skipped it this year as it's normally heaving, but that looks pretty quiet in your vid.
  16. If you don't have cover on your road insurance (REIS and CCI still offer this I believe, as do a couple of the traders on here), then I normally use either Moris or InsureMyTrackday. Moris have been great in the past but are a bit unreliable to get hold of lately so I've been using IMT. Better prices than Moris, arguably better cover, I've never made a claim with them but so far the experience has been very good. You can get online quotes too, so stick your details in and see what you get. I too work on the basis that unless I can afford to come away with no car at all then I definitely want it insured.

    Project Mu parts?

I've not tried those ones specifically so cannot comment on effectiveness, but I'd be happy enough to give them a go I think. Plus JDM points!

    Project Mu parts?

Depends on the usage, what ones are you looking at specifically?

Hijacking thread for testing of new photo uploading, since I know you were happy I was wrong Craig I'm sure you won't mind me testing it here Test Test

    Project Mu parts?

Excellent brand, they do some superb quality stuff however you really, really do pay for it. That said, it's very JDM so you're also paying for the cool factor partially. Personally I'd get something just as good but not as cool for less. PF or DBA would get my money over them.
  21. That's a ceramic disc, which as you know is a completely different kettle of fish. It's like comparing a 4 stroke to a rotary: Both engines, both provide power, but are very different animals. The original PCCBs weren't great, true, but it was a tiny percentage. Ultimately anything can fail, regardless of cost, but I'm not sure that helps your point at all. And the trouble with being wrong about one thing which you speak definitively, is that is then weakens your credibility.

Maybe post the plate up, would be easier for people to identify.
  23. Japfest, being a complete balls up? Well, who'd have thought it?!
  24. You can't use PB any more, unless you pay $399 for it. This is why the forum upgrade was pushed through a bit sooner Basically you'll have to re-up them elsewhere.
