Yesterday the clutch cable started to go on my VW Camper - I heard a 'ping' as I pushed the clutch in - no first gear after that struggled to get into rest of gears fortunately near home so limped back and parked up, ordered new cable £4.50 should arrive tomorrow. Should be a 20 min change over job - no worries 1930's tech you cant beat it. Drove to work in the 300C. Was popping out at lunch - well thats what I thought?? Cant get it out of Park! No matter what I tried would not budge. Called dealer for advice - could be an immobilser issue - lock up and unlock and try again?? Nope no change. Realised I had not renewed my breakdown cover last week but phoned home Lucy had the letter on the table I phoned them, they never twigged it was a week over usually companies dont let you renew as continued contract so you need to start from scratch and wait 24 hours before you can use them! Well I wait 30 mins called them back and lo they sent a recovery truck out - another issue they cant move the car onto the loader as its parked facing the wrong way! In the meantime I did some google surfing and posted up Help on the my 300c forum for advice, by which time I had found an article about a common fault with Chryslers and a safety cut out device that looks like its made from cheapo Fischer Price plastic!! Well anyway to cut a long story short I managed to drive it to the dealers they are sorting the parts tomorrow and I got a free hire car care of Chrysler UK. (I since find out my car is covered for 3 years breakdown cover not 12 months like everyone else!!) DOh!!! So what fab hire car do I get - is it another Seat Ibiza like last time nope something far worse! A Hyundai L10!! WTF!! Well its got me home on £7 of fuel (65 miles) and its dare I say it more refined than most cars twice the size!! Quiet on the motorway ,inside the plastics are as soft as a Lego brick when you stand on it with bare feet, Zero personailty and other than the nice shade of blue its the ugliest car I have ever seen -uglier than the Bini Clubman! The seats are like sitting on plywood! Why Hyundai bother I have no idea - but it probably is all done to cost and it shows although to be fair its a lot more solid than most modern biscuit tins. I know you will all rush out and buy one as a runabout to keep your precious Zed for weekends only!

For me and my other half (we both had Zeds) it was having a new addition to the family, however as much as I loved mine I could not justify the running cost of a 700 mile commute in it every week. Although it is a great sports car for the money it will still cost you in consumables to run long term. A number of people have sold their Zeds on here for various reasons , money , upgrade to the new 370 or thought of selling before they depreicated too much since the 370 release? But does'nt mean there is anything wrong with them its just the way of life

look at your past bills or use wi-fi where possible like work or home etc as you already have an Iphone 3G get the free app from O2 (if your with O2) and it will tell you how much left each month etc - hope this helps

Go on O2's web site there is an early contract upgrade page where you put your current contract end date and they tell you how much you pay as a one off payment then carry on with your current contract. For me it would cost £300!!!! Then my normal plan as current but they will give me £235 for my current iPhone 3gs as a recycle job? Pricey but it's best to wait until your a good way through your contract or wait until the new one has been around a while and the bugs have been found. Otherwise download the free upgrade to 4 os when that ready for your 3gs phone?

Agree with Lexx I love my yank tank but I know jap cars is where my heart is. G37 in a few years time but for now enjoying the tank and still turns heads.

Gone down the same route with car choices ended up with the 300c diesel. It's very quick and is ok on handling - yes really but obviously it's no zed! But I you do want something with a daft petrol engine then the cheapest value for money car is the Hemi version of the 300c !! Nobody want them becuase of the huge engine 5.7 now there is the 6.1 I think and poor economy hence they are quite cheap on autotrader my CRD is a lot more expensive to buy. Insurnance and tax and tyres are cheap and well why would you want a medium sized Euro box when you can have a giant for the same money. The SRT hemi version handles too .... What are you waiting for!

Don't bother there are plenty of people with bigger/sharper rubber edges than that and will still dint your car! Next to a car that has a kiddie seat in it Next to an MPV Next to commercial vehicles especially White Vans Next to a Chav's car - easy to spot - they always have a George Cross sticker on it somewhere they got from The Sun On the corner of a car park Never a spot near the entrance or exit Near Mother and Baby spaces Old Rovers from 1980's Most Vauxhalls pre 1998 Never in a bay that has a car in the other bay slightly overparked in the bay next to you - Mr Austin Maxi will turn up and park right next to your door! Never near the shopping trolly park and uphil from them not downhill Always park next to Expensive cars - astons etc unless in Levenshulme or Salford! Always park well in the bay as best you can Always park away from the main drag its easier to get in and out quickly Phew!! Sorry Nurse says I have to take my pills now!! Nixy as everyone has said do a virus scan and do a disc defrag but my feeling is it's either a recent windows update or apple update both of which can mess up your system. Do a restore back to a day/ time you know it was fine and take it from there. Let us know how you get on.

I agree with not just looking at Nissan, but I have only seen night blue for sale at dealers. They seem to be quite rare as private sales. Your right mate. When I looked for mine it was only 1 of 2 for sale in the whole country. It was still a rare colour towards the end shame they ditched it but sneakily they sell a Twilight blue on the rest of the range that looks almost identical? Well good luck with your search.

You won't regret buying the 313 and Night Blue is the best colour( unbiased off course) don't just look at Nissan though a few of them are finding their way onto the car supermarkets try the car people for example .

Very nice Lexx let me know how you get on, with those extra seats I may be tempted to switch from the 300c but thats subject to VXR running costs
