Iphone rear case advice i.e Iphones don't bounce
stanski replied to stanski's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Hi elfman - 16GB 3GS - A guy at work showed me his case - think its the same as the one you have - INCIPIO? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Incipio-Feather ... B001M1JLLU Might be tempted I think another bounce and it will crack further this time!! -
Oh dear she really needs to get out and buy a proper car - have you told her of this forum? She is soooo busy enjoying the leather inside to bother washing it outside - might ruin her nails - need a toyboy for that job!
-
Oh man I have just spotted this - another one selling up - I've skipped a few hundres pages on this thread but if your ditching the (paid for) Zed for another sports car you have to go MR2 roadster or MX5 route - its bargain fun motoring! Reliable sold etc etc. The Zed is'nt that bad on costs especially as you dont have your long commute anymore? You could of course go for a 300C Hemi - thats cheap to run

Iphone rear case advice i.e Iphones don't bounce
stanski replied to stanski's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Thanks for the help folks and coops thanks for the offer - I managed to clip it back in only a teeny bit of scratch damage near the headphone socket at the top but I can live with it! Re: iphone is not a sealed unit - 2 screws at the base and you can unclick it - also you can replace battery etc etc - do a search on Youtube - its very modular design it just looked like you need to take the whole thing apart to replace just the black plastic case. Something I was'nt happy to do at the moment - anyway its working so far and it does'nt look too bad yet - if it cracks then I will get a new case for it. Thanks again -
As you can probably tell from the title - not a good morning today- my wonderphone jumped out of my hand and leapt onto the carpark tarmac - side on and of course has squished one of its corners near the ringer volume switch! Ar$@!!! I've has a quick shuftie on' tinternet to see and its scaring me taking all the gubbins out of the case - had anyone had to replace the rear case on their iphone? Is it an easy enough task or fiddly! Will see if I can clip it back in has to last me another 12 months. Its all still working thank goodness but no insurance on it

Looks ace Chris - you want to start knocking those out I am sure there is a big market for them! So whats the next project then?
-
Good well make sure you stick around so we can keep a beady eye on you!
-
+1 too right mate been thinking about doing this - an ex pats doughnut meet! Chris shame its gone but dont be a stranger mate - I am thinking of forming an ex -pats chapter of the club ! At least we are still on Banzai mag mate Keep in touch
-
Is'nt it just a glorified Iphone for people with fat fingers and bad eyesight (Ideal for me then! ) They always do this differencial pricing lark - its such a con - you need to get them from a country with really high tax ! (erm like here! )
-
I'm afraid she already has me round her little finger!! Bronzee please I am trying not to think about the boyfriend thing let me enjoy this bit - hopefully by then I would have mellowed No worries Uncle Stew can vet them first then they can go through to the second interview phase with me!!
-
Thanks guys yes enjoying it still she is so cute you can't be upset about anything and yes leather sofa and oak floor easier to maintain but we still try to keep a pre- baby house as much as we can! She is grewing very fast and changes everyday!
-
One for the recent dads on here- you will know what mean!!! Just sat in the sofa feeding Ania as she finishes the bottle.... Settles back big burp ... then catapults half of the milk back out - misses her top lands on my knee, drips onto the leather sofa down onto the oak floor! Now that takes some skill!! I sit her down on her kiddie chair she burps some more out yep misses her but all over the chair.... I am about to get annoyed as I just cleaned the other mess she looks at me and gives me the biggest smile Nothing to do but laugh with her .... My hard man image isn't working is it!!!
-
Really missing the zed when I see that video. We love the Hoon run not sure if we can make it this year with Ania though bit unfair on her stuck in a child seat for hours. But there is always next year
-
....Erm....yes.... Ooooo Kkkkkkk One of those artisit films was it!

Wow this is a shock Dave , I was only away from the forum for 1 and a bit weeks and this happens!! You were one of the first people I met on my first meet in Wales and it was a great day (it was actually glorious sunshine! ) Even though both me and Lucy had to let our zeds go we are still part of the club because of the great people on here so when one of the key mods stands down it's a bit of a shock but I can understand. Hope you still enjoy your zed (not everyone has their zed covered in a major mag!) and concentrate on more important things like safety testing of White goods!! Good luck mate

I fancied an ex RAF LWB Landie a few years ago - only £500 but decided to stick with Beetles and vans! Probably a good thing but I can see the attraction - always fancied the forward control versions - just look realy mean!
-
This guy has managed 14mpg today! I think the Orange camper only managed 18 from Scotland - but I have not fettled the engine myself yet and its running rich - the Zed is frugal by comparison!!
-
Apparently this one has seen service in the RAF and the army - and has unique paint ! So the guy at work tells me - pretty solid machine - talk about ultimate campervan!
-
You dont think they are trying to tell me something do you!! Look whats in the car park today!!

***NOW FOUND a room to rent in Chester
stanski replied to sasha@lazytrips's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Sasha I work up the road from there I know there are a few bods at work that rent out I can ask tomorrow and Pm you if you want? -
The problem with modern roof linings unlike ones in days of old is they are a 1 piece pressed velour on card job which means if you try to cover them with another layer of cloth or vinyl, unless done well and held on in key places it will eventually sag if not done correctly. I think that spraying is probably the best and cost effective option at least you keep the original roof intact and hence the right shape still. You can of course cover in headlining cloth or velour or well whatever the hell you like but please please use high temperature glue, in the stress points try to sew into the original material to help it stay in shape and be careful with your edging does tucks away cleanly as it should. Covering the sunvisors in the same material is a nice professional touch, use the sunvisor as a template sew the cover inside out leave a gap to slip the cover over the visor then blind sew the last bit and job done. Re airbags I can't remember where they are now but as I keep saying as the dash or seats do not cover them in such a way they impede their job. If it was me don't cover the headlining in a black or dark headlining there is enough black plastic in a zed don't make it feel like inside a coffin use a nice pale light colour plus it could effect resale later on?
