Yeah man, I get the drift, it's cool - I just thought I'd add some (what I thought was relevant) flavour to the topic is all, my bad. no no no, you've got me wrong, yes we drifted off topic but all the info is good because it gives owners and buyers a view to what they may not like or what can happen e.g. while the interior is much nicer than the 350z I think it needs to be taken care of a lot more as it isn't as robust as the 350

imo just the gearbox on the manual really, this would be my only concern and give it a thorough check, there have only been a few isolated incidents but def worth a good check The rest is standard, servicing, tyres, wear and tear etc and...... make sure the car is actually what you want, don't expect it to be something it isn't ( this may sound daft but it happens )

+1 the top of the piston usually either has a cut out to be held with a spanner or an alun key recess in the top of the piston to hold it while you tighten the nut

Radio 2 - if you have a brain Radio 1 - if you havent got a brain Heart etc - create road rage due to the repeated ad's most of the complaints/observations in this thread are niggles or personal preference but the Op asked for general things to look over when purchasing

megs nxt metal polish, autosol etc they do look dirty ! if you have some wheel cleaner spray or iron x put that on and leave for a while and wash off before you polish, you may need wire wool but try the easy route first , tried a lot of metal polishes, not much between them it's down to elbow grease

Clutches take a while to get used to brakes have a lot of feel imo, the golf's are over servo'd and lack feel with only 11k the suspension is probably quite hard most of the above just take getting used to, unless it's tramlining in which case it may need an alignment, have you checked youtyre pressures ? did you test drive the car before you bought it da most peeps have a das6 or the megs, rotary are mostly the same but check the weight some are heavy ! technique, pads and polish play are bigger part than the machine hth Paul
