  1. this was asked recently by stanski, I would confirm with nissan but it seems not
  2. thats understandable mate but once this is sorted you can move on and enjoy the car price up discs and the cost of diagnosis and work out if its worth the risk of throwing some discs on and crossing you're fingers ( this is what i would do), well I wouldn't as I have a run out dial and could test it but you get my drift have you tried the italian tune up ?
  3. over the last few days, engine cover, brakes and decals and a clean crappy phone pics
  4. Oh my, i think i have been on the stupid pill's. You sir are indeed correct, i do remember taking the nut/sleeve off and fitting it to my new discs. In my defence that was a long time ago! (2 weeks) Wheels are fitted and looking tidy, chuffed. much more aggressive look with spacers
  5. here's some reading matter http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/images/misc/dapolishing.pdf
  6. hopefully just discs but it's worth getting it checked before you fit discs
  7. Never been convinced about that reason as I found the 370 rear wheels fit fine on the front (I've tested in the event of an emergency) What it was useful for though was taking the disc off the hub - just remove the sleeve and then screw in the bolt that will separate the disc from the hub Otherwise, removing it completely is no issue. Just what I read Colin and I cant think of any other reason, you did try the wheel without your spacer and with the stud in ? off 370z.com "I began with removing the front wheel, and then removing the "idiot bolt" on the rotor that prevents you from mounting the rear wheel to the front of the car. I forgot to take pictures of the removal of the caliper, but the DIY on this forum is great." "It just unscrews. It's there so u don't accidentally put a rear wheel on the front." "That bolt is not needed. It is there to prevent some unknowing person from putting the back wheels on the front." agree it can help to remove the disc but why would the rear not have one if that was it's purpose ?
  8. Add you're location to the for sale thread Alfie, always helpful especially for larger items
  9. Just take the bolt out and all will be revealed Just a bolt and sleeve iirc
  10. Just remove it, it's there to stop people putting the rears wheels on the front etc As the front and rear are different size wheels Hth Paul
  11. its not always the discs , they should measure the disk for run out, measure the disk for thickness variation and check that theres no pad deposits. If theres run out you then need to check the hub for stuff on the surface and then measure the run out on the hub.also the wheel nut torque should be checked and debris behind the wheels can be very costly to throw discs at the problem how many miles on the car gstraw ? as above tophooker knows what he's talking about
  12. Can make it worse Dan, chat to Darren and Tophooker. Darren tried it with DU11 FVC but it made it worse. I don't see he has much to lose at this point Chris
  13. +1. Try the bedding in procedure, with these cars not being used as much as they should sometimes it causes corrosion on the inside of the discs ( happens quite a lot on porsche's due to lack of use) Its free so try it
  14. Warped discs, need them skimmed or new discs Congrats on the car, looks I have read on another 370 with the same problem they had the discs skimmed and the wobble came back, new discs and the wobble came back and they then had to have a new hub and discs to cure it, they were lucky it was under warranty ! Hopefully this isn't the case, if discs are needed pm R35Lee he was breaking a 370 with 2k miles on it
  15. a bit pricey but has low miles @ 43k looks very good from the pics prefer this ......... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82066-immaculate-uk-350-for-sale/
