  1. I'm up for it even though I should be doing some work. Although I haven't even played it since I opened it and tried it once What mode, track, car and setting shall we use? Standard Fairlady Z. i.e. not the concept tuned one. Driving aids are up to yourselves. Tune the car if you want or can. You have to finish the game to tune cars. Bronze in all events will do to finish it. Or as most probably haven't bothered to finish the game no tuning allowed. Standard or professional?
  2. I'm up for that. Finished the game with all gold on Monday. Just in time for the release of GTA4. Didn't get much sleep last night. Thankfully the online part of GTA wasn't working so I did go to bed eventually. The only track worth doing is really Suzuka. Guy
  3. Welcome Jackie. Slightly off topic but as I believe there's nothing really wrong with the stones - am I correct in saying that the stones are actually summer tyres??? I think they might be. If so this would explain many of the complaints surrounding them.
  4. 06 lights from the look of them.
  5. Those seats look familiar. Has that car been posted here before?
  6. Don't notice mine. Change gear based on sound and when I know I have to.
  7. The fit does look very good but: It looks as though the drivers side is cut a little short on the top left and on the bottom right on the drivers side by the headlamp is a little high. That one could be down to the photo though.
  8. Now that's an interesting idea. The bi-xenon lights are so much better.
  9. $500 USD a set for 06-08 lights $200 USD a set for 03-05 lights
  10. Cool. I did read it on itv-f1 that he damaged the front wing but thats all they mentioned.
  11. Self cancel works fine for me. Having said that I've always had a habit of tapping the indicator stick when returning the wheel to centre after a turn. Now if you want to compare them to a car that really sucks drive and Astra. Self cancel didn't work and there seemed to be no neutral point. i.e. if you tried to cancel it yourself, say on a motorway after changing lane, the indicator would indicate right then left then right. Only had the car for a weekend but never again. I've been told they've fixed that problem on newer models. No problem with the Z. Perhaps the wheel isn’t in it’s ideal position for you? A slight change in height could make all the difference.
  12. I do enjoy it. It seems to drive on pure torque for the first 30 seconds. I start it up. Pull out of my space. Then take my foot of the clutch and gas and let her drive herself up the hill out of the undergroud. On startup it revs to 1900 for a few seconds then drops to 1750. Sits for a short time before making its way down to about 800.
  13. Speak with your insurance. They are not fond of repairs of this nature.
  14. Yep perfectly normal. Nice and loud startup too
  15. I have a feeling that you out bid my Iranian Rials offer.
  16. Unbelievable thread. There is definitely a 12year or longer anti corrosion warranty. This would include any paint work the dealer had done to the car. I cant believe dealers get away with stuff like this. When I serviced my first Z at my second dealer (issues with the first) they said it’d cost about €150 but could be more if the spark plugs need changing. At this point I started laughing as I knew the plugs wouldn’t need changing for a very very very long time. So how much I said. He told me each plug was a hundred and something. That was a funny day.
  17. I keep my phone in the cassette player. I also hate the wheels that come with UK cars. Always thought they looked cheap. We get the GT4 wheels as stock.
  18. I have an Aquos as well. I keep that one in the living room for regular tv. It's about 26" so it doesn't dominate the room. I keep the big Sony in the games room so I can ignore other people and watch movies in a room that is better shaped for sound then a living room would be. i.e. Tv is centred on the wall with speakers positioned round the room and couch centred by opposite wall.
  19. Imagine driving down a runway. You really don't feel the speed you are doing. Brand new wide open dual carriageway. No other traffic. No trees on the verge just grass fields. Just picked it up. Gave it a little bit of welly and then cruised along oblivious of the speed. My old Z didn't go like that nor did it sound as good. I suppose that's how a GT car should go. Fast, comfortable and controlled. My one pet hate of the Z is that it hates going slow in the city. It prefers to sit on the higher side of 50kph.
  20. The day I picked up my second Z I found myself doing 220kph on the way home without realising it. Was just changing into 6th when I glanced at the speedo. Needless to say I cursed myself for not paying attention. Thanked all the gods I could think of that I hadn't been caught and cruised home at a more acceptable speed. I suppose had of been on a single carriageway and not a big wide open new dueller I of noticed a lot sooner. I used the cruise control that day for the first and last time.
  21. I only watch blueray movies using the PS3 and hdmi cable. I'll never buy a DVD again. The picture quality different is incredible. The only other tv I watch on it is stuff I've downloaded from the states. The PS3 seems to automatically upscale it as the quality is far better than my laptop and better than standard tv from sky.
  22. I got that Sony two weeks ago. Love it with the PS3. So good with the PS3 and blueray that I haven't bothered hooking up the satellite. I keep it in my games room.
  23. Although I never ever drink and drive a zero tolerance is actually too low. Eating dinner could put you over the limit. Here in Ireland they are planning a virtual zero tolerance policy by reducing the blood/alcohol level to 50mg per 100ml for qualified drivers and 20mg for learners, novices and professional drivers such as truck drivers. This means that one unit of alcohol would put you over the limit but a liver pate wouldn't. The current limit is 80mg per 100ml which is the second highest in Europe.
