  1. Can have my 77k mile OEM one if they like Think it will be a struggle to find a really good condition one. I take it you've tried Lee already?
  2. Thats abosolutely shocking! The carpark I use at work is getting a bit like that now. There didnt used to be any lines, so everyone was supprisingly well behaved and left loads of room. But obviously that meant there wasnt as many cars as possible in there, so they've now painted markings and the spaces are pretty small Fortunately WLMG Nissan have offered their car park (well lock up, not customer car park) to park in if it gets bad as they are just down the road. Even better, when they and O2 move up the road to their new premisis, they will be a performance centre, so my pride and joy can make friends with 370z and GTRs
  3. So are you now running stock ECU with UpRev on you tune Martin? Or did they just flash the part that controls the throttle and still running the piggyback for fuel mapping duties? I assume the latter otherwise you'd have posted a dyno plot for us
  4. I reckon I would be up for this. Wont let me pre-register though, just let you do the one for Oct? Says you cant pre-reg for anything other than the next one
  5. Told you not to do it Jay! Best get someone like Tim come and give it a proper detail (correct any swirls etc), and finish it off with a nice wax. From then on give it a 2 bucket method wash one a fortnight (I know you wont do it weakly!) and top up the wax in a few months. Then after a year of that, get Tim to come back, asses the car and give it a good going over. At the end of the day, vs the running costs of an Aston, getting a pro come and keep it tip top once a year is more than worth the money!
  6. Wouldnt expect anything less around here. I'm starting to get worried about leaving my car outside for fear of it missing its exhaust by morning
  7. Good work Ho, once again I bet the owner is really happy with those results
  8. +1 - always assume you will have to stop, on a bike you might have to, and you wouldnt want to tag them on a bike. Ammount of idiots on the roads these days means I dont ride my bike any more as the only chance I get it stupidly early on a weekend morning, which just isnt economical
  9. Very nice, always loved custard
  10. Interesting find. I've only ever monitored the intake temp. Just goes to prove the std airbox is the best design going! Still love the noise of the popcharger over it though
  11. Nice work Jon, quite an achievement to help Alex out rather than the other way round
  12. Good luck mate, cant wait to see some piccies of it in race action
  13. +1 - playing NFS Shift back to back with Forza 2, NFS doesnt have a patch on the physics when playing with the wheel. FM3 will be awesome I'm sure
  14. Chris Moyles was saying it was ace this morning on the radio. Hopefully they will repeat it soon so I can watch it
  15. Its also mainly that the fans at a dyno cant move anywhere near the volume of air you get when really driving. This means the numbers are artificially high when on a dyno and using popcharger like intakes. So although Andy's temps were up on the dyno, they are probably no different to stock on the road
  16. Heavier clutch? Thought you had the new light as a feather 07 model Stan? Having had my clutch replaced, I am now enjoying the benefits of these new lighter clutches, although I do miss the meatiness of my old clutch sometimes. The real mans clutch is in the 03-05 models
  17. Sounds about the same temps I have seen with my popcharger (near enough the same as the Nismo in this case). On the road the temps drop massively. My inlet temps on the way to the dyno on the day I had mine done were about 17C but when on the dyno rocketed to more than 30C. When back on the road they dropped straight away to ~17C again. Should really break out the airbox and do a run with that and see what difference it makes. The popcharger does suffer from heatsoak when stationary, but when moving its about the same as the std airbox from what I've seen
  18. +1 - also not sure when the fuel filter is changed - if at all - but I guess it should be? Dont have my logbook with me to check
  19. Self inflicted, you get no sympathy around here for that
  20. Good job you dont have Recaros then Stan, they are even more difficult to get in and out of due to the high bolsters. Andy was not impressed with it when he did my clutch although he did say they were comfy when in. I dont have dodgy knees though, I guess thats old age setting in
  21. New clutch and lightweight flywheel time. Will reduce the pressure on your ankle too
  22. Is this repost number 3 or 4? Its definately been posted twice before, if not three times! To lock or not to lock, that is the question
  23. We did ask that at the Chilli's BBQ, he was a bit
  24. alot of the bumpers for the zed are GF, like the nismo But it is pants they are And yes, Andy's is the stealth Zed
