  1. Autoglym is quite good stuff, but over priced. As with everything, once it gets a mainstream rep, it becomes overpriced, same with Megs now. IMO Dodo Juice do fantastic products and although can be a bit pricey, they are well worth it. I'm with Stew, try Lime Prime (or Lite if you want no cut). Remember to tape off any plastic bits near to where you are polishing and to wax or seal the car afterwards to protect your nice shiney paint work. Also check out DetailingWorld - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ - for guides on how to do it properly. IMO the biggest factor to keeping a good shine is washing properly with the 2BM method as it keeps the paint swirl free. Any small scratches you inflict in the paint ultimately detract from the shine which no wax will be able to get you back Also if you can stretch to it, get your car machine polished by a pro, well worth the effort and cost. You could spend way more on differnt products to get a shine that they can get in a few hours working on your baby
  2. And the Beeb have it all in HD They just need to get F1 in HD and we're all good for HD life
  3. What do you want to know? Customer services arent the most techically competant people in the world, I can email the product manager direct if you have a specific query.
  4. the zed has a oil pressure light and NOT a low oil light. This is where the confusion happens I guess either way it means you have feck all oil, so STOP THE ENGINE NOW!
  5. Yes only a handful of the RevUps suffered excess oil consumption (officially). Until my last oil change service (80k odd miles) I havent had to top up anything more than a splash of oil between services, oil consumption has been very low
  6. According to the manual that is wrong; there is a pressure gauge and dashboard pressure warning light, but no level warning (only way to check level is via dipstick). Low pressure on the gauge may indicate low level (as in this case) but not always correlated. Don't some of the 06+ rev-up engines have a history of excessive oil consumption? This may be another example of that.... Interesting, so we really could almost run out of oil as long as there is enough to keep up reasonable pressure?
  7. Good to know bud, thats for clearing it up
  8. 3 litres is a lot Isnt the whole sump 4.5 litres?
  9. Sounds like it was the one on the system that I quoted you in the PM
  10. Just looking on the motordyne site, they do a "non-revup lower collector rebate" for those that swap out a non-revup lower collector for a MREV2. I have a feeling that because they are obviousy re-using them (because they offer a rebate), the MREV2 is in fact just a modified non-revup lower collector, so you might see some gains, but not a lot
  11. From what I understand, its pretty much a stock non-revup lower collector. In fact when the revup came out I remember guys fitting the non-revup lower collector to get the torque back I guess there might be slight tweaks to it over a non-revup, but I would guess its very little.
  12. Thanks, is it something i need to do my end for future photo's? Nope, there was one tag inside the other, guess you copy n pasted it a little bit wrong as Photobucket puts it in the right format.
  13. Hope you got a good discount on that Stan being a smokers car
  14. Have seen examples where low oil can cause low oil pressure. A top up was all that was required. Also confirmed by ZMANALEX at the time The Zed has a low oil level warning but no low pressure warning.
  15. IMG tags were a bit mangled, fixed them for you
  16. Also make sure it is stone cold and on a level surface. Its a PITA but if you do it once a week, you get used to it. ZMANALEX recommends leaving it overnight to cool if you can
  17. Yes, manual please! Spoken to Nissan chap and they are saying that one should be available for 9th March delivery. WLMG made a funny comment about only being avilable in Scratch shield paint atm, so just confirming we are working on the same spec, then I can give you the details that you can pass onto a dealer to order it if you want. I beleive that White is only available in Scratch shield and not normal paint, so thats what I am confirming with them. Obvviously if you go to WLMG in Slough (bit of a journey for you), then they will try and sort you out with a good deal being from the club
  18. Well only Google can do it, I would guess as hes a trademark of the BBC no doubt, the BBC requested he was removed
  19. Was just showing this to someone at work, and it looks like they've blurred him out!
  20. Glad you spotted it early enough, top the oil up and you should be ok. Remember the oil light tells you that you are out of oil! I never get that, I think it should pop up when you are low and flash when you are out or something. Just as an extra measure. I know BMW have fully electronic dip sticks these days which I also dont like as you have to rely on it. I want it to give me a warning but also let me measure it to be sure!
  21. Smoking Having seen my old man fight throat cancer and lose, I would say to you not only dont do it in the car, dont do it at all! If you want something to really put you off it, visit the Bodies exhibition next time its in the UK and go look at the smokers lungs
  22. Just added a bit more detail Chris.
  23. Yes, and I think a lot of people have been confusing the issue on here recently with their posts. Ok, so with the RevUp engine, they redesigned the lower plenmum/collector with a view to increase top end HP IMO to chase numbers. This meant a loss of torque and also rendered the plenum spacer useless. The MREV2, is a new lower collector - which ironically is pretty much the non-RevUp lower collector - which gives back the low down torque but loses a bit of the high end power - to be expected. The spacer can then be used again to bump the power back up. So non-RevUp (MY03-05) just needs the spacer RevUp (MY06) needs MREV2 and spacer to work
