  1. Oh and lets not forget, if Car and Driver are to be beleived, its amazing the 370z Nismo didnt fly off the track when the brakes failed
  2. Is that for a non motorised one? Dont know how big the motor is, but if thats delivery for a motorised one, thats pretty cheap delivery from the US!
  3. Certainly a unique idea, but as Mark says, there are only 4-5 common sizes of nut/bolts on the Zed. 10mm, 12mm and 14mm will do most things
  4. Exactly, different days, different conditions, different cars win. Although I wouldnt be so sure the TG lap times all use the same driver - rumours are they have multiple Stigs
  5. Being a Peugeot I will need it Most definately Good luck with it, you'll be back to Jap before you know it though, if its anything like other French cars
  6. Especially with the new showroom tax But fight before signing on the dotted line and you'll be supprised at what you can get. Dont forget Gap insurance too for a new car, make sure you haggle that in. And present it all as a percentage of the cars value, you'll be supprised how small a percentage tax, gap insurance, mats etc actually are, even if it seems a big monetary value
  7. +1 - I would expect the Boxster to win, it may seem a lesser car due to power or whatever, but if you've driven on in anger, it most cetainly will go quicker than a Zed around a track. Which one is more fun is up to the driver, and whether it is worth the extra cash, well thats debateable, by the fact you are on here, it would suggest its not worth it. These races always crack me up as the drivers are so varying in talent it takes away any advantage or disadvantage a car has unless the cars are massively different in performance and then what is the point in comparing them! The Zed wasnt far behind at all, so swap drivers and the Zed may win Put it this way, how much extra money did it take for Porsche to make it 1-2 seconds quicker in that race
  8. Yeah they should chuck in the mats - front and boot - for free, you definately shouldnt be paying for them even though they are an optional item. Its only £120 to the dealer, you could have got them chucked in as part of the deal. Not sure you can do a lot if you've already placed the order though, they have your depost!
  9. Thats what carbon lips are for, they are stronger than the bumper, better scrape a bit of carbon than the bumper. Mine looks worse than that, but my scrapes are properly under it given my car is quite a bit higher than Ians
  10. What he said. I did direct access at 21 and got insurnance for £600/yr on miminal miles on an R6. I wouldnt suggest getting a 600cc supersport as your first bike though. I used to ride MTB and a bit of motorcross messing around so already fairly happy with bike physics and a 600cc SS will blow your mind. You can go so fast, you cant even think fast enough to react if something happens. You really need to already have very good reactions before stepping on one. Get a 125CC and learn its limits then get a bigger bike, or get a Hornet 600 or soemthing similar which is a bit slower and more upright, will teach you to handle it better
  11. For pure performance, for an NA Zed, then yes the stock 06+ airbox is best. I beleive the main difference between pre and post 06 airbox is the latter has a venturi ring like the pop charger.
  12. Take it easy out there when you get the Zed, the roads are slippy and dangerous at this time of year. Covered in water and salt and other crap, plus summer tyres isnt a good combo.
  13. Yup, TG are a bit better at withstanding heat, Ultimax are quieter and look better. If you are going anywhere near a track I would say avoid the Ultimax, but if you are just a fast road user, the Ultimax would be my choice
  14. It will fly by! Just planning all your mods will take a month
  15. It does for 07+ cars I beleive. Its documented on my350z.com, as if you are removing the seats for buckets, you have to remove the sensor from the original seats, roll it up and compress it to fool it into thinking something is there so that the passenger airbag will fire A compentant auto electrician should be able to do the bypass pretty easily, but its getting the right value resistor on the bypass that will be difficult. Worst case it throws the airbag light and you have to try another resistor until it is happy. Im sure the value of resistor must be listed on my350z.com somewhere
  16. Ouch Hope no one was injured, that could have been a close call near a school! My guess is the red car was going way faster than the speed limit and the grey one pulled out on it
  17. I thought it was in the US, they stepped in when it was using more than that. But re-reading the bit about the TSB, you are right I spoke to the chap I know in Nissan and he says he is unaware of a TSB for it, but also stressed that he isnt in technical himself so there could well be. He said its their policy that you go to the dealer to have it looked at, sorry he couldnt help any more So looks like you are stuck with Customer Services unless you have a particularly good dealer. There is a good will process in place dependant on your cars age and milage though, so you might get lucky. I'd sure as hell be mad if my car was using 8+ litres between services (roughly 1l per 1000 miles)!
  18. Nice one - good to see a hard set deadline to getting it
  19. I posted up some rubbish about Nav Map discs! Sarnie said Hi to me though
  20. I think in the UK, its regarded as anything more than 1l per 1000 miles is excessive, but I await an answer.
  21. Doesnt have to be permenant, you could add a switch to go between on and disabled Dont know what resistor you need to bypass it with it to fool it into thinking the airbag is there though.
  22. I'll see what they have to say. I'm sure this has been covered on this site before, you have to be using a serious amount of oil before they will do anything and if you are out of warrenty, then I think you will be out of luck tbh.
