  1. Ditto, didnt realise it was locked this morning.
  2. Looks good to me. I've renamed the thread with FEELER in it, as its not 100% for sale right now.
  3. I'd say that was adequate compensation for the late delivery of the car from the mag

    Juke

Press pack here - http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/juke/html/press-pack.htm Not sure its one for me
  5. I'm pretty sure Beavis told me when he removed his pop charger his car felt to respond better and pull a bit better too. Too many breathing mods (intake, plenum, cats and exhaust) without a remap will lose you low down torque and I guess could cause fueling problems which could manifest as a flat spot, although I've never seen evidence of that on any dyno days we've had or plots I've seen.
  6. True, but while the "From" field will appear to be ok, you can't mask the server it came from and these are the ones that get flagged up or caught in spam filters - in hotmail they show a red banner for example. I agree though, you still need to be careful Yup, thats true. Didnt know hotmail flagged it if the email domin and server domain were different, just thought they'd stick in in Spam
  7. All good info Although I can still send emails from whoever I like with my own mail server so its very easy for it to appear to be from someone@paypal.com when its not. We used to do it at uni all the time, sending emails to people from lecturers Just be careful they dont hit reply as the reply will go to the named address - in this case the real lecturer! Good job he waas our fraud and security lecturer and he taught us how to do it Best bet is to log on yourself without clicking any links to be sure to goto the right place
  8. +1 - both our cars are with them. Going to try Chris Knott next time as I hear good things, and not the missus can get insured with them, I'm looking for good things. If not it will be with Admiral again. I have had a couple of claims with them over the years - non of them my fault - and they have been very helpful
  9. Not for everyone, read posts twice to make sure you understand it and try to be clear with what you are writing as you can. Also helps the mods know what you are on about too
  10. Word of warning, looking at the email address is no sure way to be sure where it came from. While it is a good indicator (and I agree to delete anything like @security-paypal etc), its quite easily send an email looking like its from any email address you like, so dont assume that one from @paypal.com is legit. Paypal/eBay/your bank will never send emails to you asking you to click a link and give over information. They may ask you to login but wont supply the address so you have to type it yourself so you know its going to the website you want - in this case always use www.paypal.com The best thing to do in these instances, where they tell you to click a link is goto the actual site (type it in yourself) as this will always be safe. Links and email addresses can be hidden within what looks like the link, but if you type the address yourself, you will goto the right place. If its that important they will leave you a message when you login to the legit site
  11. Off topic posts removed, sorry to Amy for her thread decending into chaos Still it killed some time til you get the car
  12. Hey its only more money, so why not, may as well give it a go
  13. Wow, as you say, he really didnt stand a chance. They said this is the fastest track in the world IIRC. Even if they didnt have high walls, they should still have some kind of safety netting to catch anyone or thing that flies off the track before hitting anything stuctural
  14. Is it not overkill using LPL after LP? Not sure I care that much to use both
  15. No worries, as long as its not massively abrasive, then thats good enough
  16. Do you have LP Lite and normal LP Stew? Interesting to know how much cut LP has.
  17. New GB thread - viewtopic.php?f=26&t=32587 - keep orders in there and chat in here Rich - you need to edit the first post in there so it makes sense. Happy?
  18. This is a wax not a polish. Polish cleans the paint of contaminants and can be abrasive (remove some clearcoat), wax is a protectant layer which goes over the paint to stop contaminants sticking to the paint. This is why watermarks remain with wax, its not meant to clean them off
  19. he doesnt like it apparently Wouldnt go much by what he says
  20. haha chants of "ban ban ban ban" in the mods area  Nah, we hit the button first and talk about it later
  21. Thats a pretty damn good deal, it must be pretty light
  22. Just to elaborate as to what Stan and Mart have said, as I know the first time at Wales, you can seem as if everyone knows whats going on except you, I did the first time before I got there and asked a million and one questions. As we have had quite a few now, us old timers forget that newer memebers dont know what its all about and can easily be confused. This used to be a one day event, but as numbers have grown we moved to two days, mainly as Saturday is a bit quieter and easier going for us Mods as we dont have to concentrate on sheperding cars so much and can relax a bit more. Its up to you if you do Satuday and/or Sunday, they are definately two seperate events, although most make quite a big journey and do both. For me, I go up on Friday night like Mart, which is generally a quiet catch up in the hotel (Moreton Park this time, make sure you are booked in on our thread), some dinner and drinks. People arrive at all times so we generally just hang at the bar and meet up for a very informal chit chat. Saturday is normally a gentle start, have breakkie and catch up with everyone. Head on out for the day, generally a stint of driving, stopping now and again for photos, lunch etc. Back to the hotel in the afternoon, wash the cars, and head on off to grab some food and a good natter with others that have joined through the day and into the evening. Sunday is the main event. Bit of an earlier start than Saturday, get up and out and meet up with everyone else thats arriving just for the day. Head out on the main run, probably in 3 groups this time. One of the mod team or other respected member will lead a group, but make sure you have a good co driver as we have been known to go wrong! Definately dont just follow the chap in front, know if they are right and wrong and if they are wrong, flash them, but make the right turn! We will stop a few times, have lunch, and generally have a damn good drive. Its generally a longer drive than Saturday so get back to the hotel later. Some stay the night (I am) and some head home. For those that stay, we just have a quiet drink and bit to eat. And Monday morning is head home time. Other details will be released closer to the time, like the routes for Sat and Sun and meeting points etc, so dont worry, you will always know where to be and when
