  1. When I got mine dyno'd on DynoDynamics, it had a massive fan in front of it and temps were 10C+ higher than when I was on the road doing the same speed, it was definately heat soaked. I am assuming he has an open Apexi cone, if its enclosed then that should not be the case. The graph may show IATs if they had a sensor hooked up or hooked up the ECU. +1 on being confused though
  2. Sounds like it was a 3rd gear run too, so that will have contributed. Surely all CELs show on the dash Mark - as they are Check Engine Light? I know what you mean though, not all errors throw a CEL, only more major ones
  3. Thats shocking Is it me, or are you on a hill sloping towards your car? Could the door swing open into yours? I'm thinking its more a careless owner who doesnt give a **** tbh. I would knock on their door and ask if they realise if they have done it. They might fess up, in which case tell them to be more careful and ask them to pay for it to be fixed, they should be reasonable. If not, inform the Police and get things moving that way. You have more than enough evidence its them IMO, but get them on camera if you can, you can get motion sensative cameras quite cheap from places like Maplins these days.
  4. Sounds to me (as per other thread) that its a 3rd gear run, sod all WOT runs before doing a proper final run and the Apexi filter will have been heatsoaked to hell. Didnt realise it was 3rd gear in the other thread, all those factors will what have caused this.
  5. Long day chap? Go play with your foam lance Colin - did you do a requote on Admiral or just get the renewal through? Renewals from them suck, I always do a requote and it comes back down again. Last time I called them to moan, got a very nice South African man (dont worry he wasnt dodgy!) who cut it even futher as a "sorry". Will be giving CK a go this time though.
  6. What were the IATs? What Apexi filter is it? How many WOT runs did they do on the dyno? If they strapped it up and did one run, it would have been heat soaked to hell and not running at full power. I have seen mine climb a good 10HP by doing multiple WOT runs and my pop charger lost me power I reckon as IATs were well above what they are on the road. With an 03 car, plenum spacer, pop charger and Nismo exhaust I got 280HP at the fly (240WHP).
  7. and are still not displaying correctly for me ..........not complaining just commenting They work fine for me at home, work and iPhone. Must be a browser thing your end Yep it is FF ........ Safari Fine for me with FF at work My guess is your FF images are corrupt, a Ctrl-F5 should sort it, if not clear the cache and try again. If that dont do it, then you're FF is cursed

  9. Mitz sent me the megs version, it's brill. Also means you dont apply too much!
  10. Dont they have the gaskets moulded in somehow? As when they used normal gaskets they quite often had leaks? Moulding them in elimited a lot of them I believe, sure I remember reading that on my350z a few years ago. As Alex said, if it were that easy, he and every other engineer out there could make them
  11. True, but at least when the PC breaks I know I can fiddle with it and make it work. If the OEM satnav goes mad, I'll have to take it back all the time. But it should be a lot more robust to start with I guess
  12. I got a Nilfisk ALTO C120 from Screwfix yesterday and foam lance from Matt@i4detailing, was great fun foaming the Ibiza as a test drive for it From what I gather its flowrate that makes the big difference with foam, and this little thing kicks out 500l/ph which you need to spend far more to get from a Karcher. Also got loads of Dodo bits and bobs, neighbours think I'm sponsored by them now. More great service from Matt, got a little extra pressie and of course bubblegum, all good with his dicount for the club
  13. cheers so i shudnt be needing 1 for a while , they dont need serviced much compared to other sports cars then As Gervais said, 1yr or 9k miles, whichever is sooner. It doesnt need to be done as much as turbo cars as its a lot less complicated and oil temps stay a lot lower so oil doesnt break down as quickly. Some people still do intermediate services ever 4.5k miles just doing the oil and filter - maybe thats whats been done with yours?
  14. A club day would be great. Shame my mate Ben in his Evo wouldnt be able to come too, its too noisy for there now
  15. Thanks for the explaination Pippa, just a shame it clashes, didnt remember seeing the dates for JTS in the discussion we had when deciding the Wales date. Everything is arranged now and hotels are booked up so too late to change
  16. One word - awesome of your own at 12.05 are you trying for the role of spam king keith? Forum glitch me thinks..... Just happened to me 3 times! If you have times and dates of the glitch we can look into it. Usually its a dodgy internet connection at the users end, as Martin will testify on his USB dongle! Raise a new thread in the Site Suggestions & Feedback section.
  17. Its lovely He almost had to kick me out of it when I had a play in it
  18. Oh and we need IT types down here. Still plenty of work, not that you'd want to look at the thinky or you might find a job you like. http://www.seek.co.nz. Your lil' lady would love NZ. I'm sure she would, so would I The problem with my job is its working with a very niche software which is very expensive to buy, so pretty much the only people that use it is big mobile telecoms companies, banks and credit card firms. No real demand for it outside of the UK and US, but it is moving around the world, even in the UK the only jobs for it are in London except for major telecoms companies outside of London (O2, Voda, Orange). There were some jobs in Oz not long back but the day rate isnt anything near what I get here
  19. Colin, it will fit the RHD model so no more excuses I'll let Colin go first then
