  1. Ah, got it, change to the 370z theme and it'll be gone Its a job for Mr Chesterfield I'm afraid
  2. I must be blind, where are you seeing it?
  3. We dont have it on the engine bay brace either, thats a US thing AFAIK
  4. Glad it all worked out for another member of the site Remember to get your name down on the owners thread when you get the car and know the number Also, we are hoping to get something together this year with NMGB as its the 40th Anniversary of Zeds in the UK (as opposed to last year being Zeds world wide)
  5. Doesnt count for anything unfortunately, I knew a mate back in school who could see the Basingstoke exhange from his window almost and his line was like 3km long, it came out the exchange, half way across the town and back again before his box was hooked up to it They will have a huge line to the BT facility no doubt, but that doesnt mean anything for you as their stuff will be dedicated. My work has a healthy connection though ....
  6. Looks about right if you are miles from the exchange. A few years ago you wouldnt have even got a connection where you are if you are that far away I take it you've tried the BT Line Checker to see what it says the expected rates are? Also get an ADSL Nation faceplate, they can up the speed considerably on rubbish lines, it upped mine from 2.5MB to 4MB
  7. Thats worse than my mums place which is 7km from the exchange!
  8. it will be the UK sponsored distributor; and if they are just that ( a distributor) they won't be covered for mechanical fitting etc. Ooooh yes *nods*
  9. Should be very easy for some competant mechanic to do. Comes off easy as the car is new and the old one will fit in the boot with some protection from MF cloths and placcy bags. Shouldnt cost you more than 50 quid for someone to do it, thats all I paid
  10. Well I could lower my ping by moving up to the 15 quid a month package, but I dont do online games (atm) so happy with 17ms. I remember back in the day anything under 40ms was good Guy next door has Virgin cable and has had no end of problems with them, although mainly with the STB, so I decided to stick with PlusNet and use FreeSat for my TV.
  11. Yeah I feel for you bud, where my mum lives (and I did for most of my life obviously), we were very late to get BB, we had ISDN via my dads work for years while others had 1MB+ BB. She can still only get 1.5MB but looking like FTTC will be along soon, they have enabled the cab one end of the village, just need to sort the other. Its a right PITA when you know literally every house will sign up to it, yet some eeediot analyst decided for some reason that they wont so wont install it. Whats more annoying with mum is that they have a new build developement behind her now, which I think they are feeding from the old cab, so those owners wont be happy to find they can only get 1MB connections in brand spanking new houses GT5 is a go though
  12. Might be your lucky day then... there appears to be one left - will PM you the details so no one else can steal it
  13. Well BT man is all done and dusted - not bad for a tenna a month My HD projector also turned up with 77" screen of goodness Chris - there are companies out there that work for small communities running fibre to the premises but its damn expensive. Saw it on the News a few weeks back, something like 100k to get it all in, and then you pay what you would to BT and when its all paid back they move on to help the next community. Forget what they are called but seemed a really good venture.
  14. OK just heard back from NMGB and there are 151 Black Editions in the UK, so we have some more hunting to do I spotted one black one in Festival Place at the weekend but didnt have any cards
  15. OK - I have it on good (but not confirmed) authority that there are just 2 Black Editions left unregistered out of the UK stock. This does not mean there arent more out there on the forecourts already registered and waiting to be sold and my contact is looking into whats really out there, but there should be 2 out there for sale somewhere *potentially* - they may be sold and not registered yet.
  16. The problem BT has is that tech changes quicker than they can implement it. They are investing a huge amount of money into uprating everything (read: billions of pounds) but as soon as they do a trail for one tech, another emerges, long before they can update everyone to the last. At least with FTTC, it can be upgraded to FTTP later as it just makes the whole chain fibre. I would expect you will see FTTC before anything else in most areas now, thats what they are putting their resources behind atm. Saying that, keep an eye on mobile networks. We had a demo on new tech at work, and mobile networks might be considerably quicker than current broadband when thats rolled out
  17. Just had FTTC (aka infinity but its not via BT) installed today. Syncing at 40MB down and 10MB up, although my profile is limited atm so only getting 4MB down, but getting 8MB up. Waiting for PlusNet to adjust my profile and we'll be off Also had an interesting chat with the engineer. He said that most of his work at the moment (like 95%) is doing FTTC switchover, roughly 5 a day for the past few months. Seems the product (infinity) is doing very well. I was the first to be a non-BT customer that he's done. Roll on Fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) rather than to the cab, then we'll have 100MB connections and catch up most of the world!
  18. Now that hasnt been done before
  19. You need a T20 wedge. Loads about on ebay. As per other thread, I'll have a look in the garage to see if I have a spare, you can have it if you can get to Basingstoke today, one evening/weekend
  20. What age car do you have? I assume its an older version rather than the LED brake lights of the 06+ T20 are the fitment you are after. Halfords wont stock them as they arent a common bulb, except for JDM cars. If you are anywhere near Basingstoke, I may has a spare one in the garage depending on what you are after
  21. I now have spiffing fast broadband back, so will give NMGB an email and see what my man has to say
  22. Damn I was looking forward to it being in purple
  23. It's 370 for the EU. So at a guess about 100 might be in the UK? I'll ask NMGB I they have official numbers on BT complete my upgrade to FTTC (infinity). The US had 1000 40th Anni Editions but they aren't numbered. 25 of 100 would be a bad turn out at all. Most aren't interested in forums and others that are may be on other forums
  24. Didnt realise they made it in purple Stew
