  1. Actually - this is how much he means to me.. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3807283.htm I wont have time for toys like that for a while. Ill take him out in a 458 or Aventador in a few years Yes One of those little wooden ones Fair play mate, my 'toy' sabbatical, that was supposed to be two years, is now up to 4 years after number two arrived in January
  2. Awesome news mate, at least you kept hold of the 430 unlike me that folded under the pressure Congrats though, you will seriously not know what you did with your life prior to kids
  3. What I don't understand, is that if she has NO memory, how can she bring charges? Surely, not remembering is not equal to not giving consent. If so, there could be a lot a guys waking up next to a woman this weekend in danger of being accused of rape if she doesn't explicitly remember giving consent
  4. Bizarrely it looks more like a 458 than a 360
  5. I'd expect a £35k GTR to depreciate to the same amount that your warranty costs The c£1,900 a month cost of a GTR is what has caught out a lot of people imo......
  6. As long as you can take the banter your always welcome
  7. Twobears, what is this female forum you frequent? I'd like to go on there and ask if I should add spacers to my car, or other such stuff that I'm sure they'd find really interesting
  8. The £1,900 I mentioned includes £600 loan payments. Remove that and it is almost identical to your monthly figure, which is what everyone has been saying; GTR = Supercar running costs
  9. £1100 a month isnt bad then, my zed costs me £900 a month and thats without any loan. Its scary how much things soon cost. Things like petrol & depreciation are the main killers. One thing I wondered was whether its just worth hiring a decent car for weekend use as if you only plan to use it occasionally as a 2nd car it may work out cheaper. What are you accounting for in your £900? MOT, tax, insurance, servicing, 1 set of tyres, depreciation of around 2k/year (i.e. everything it costs you to use the car on the road for 12 months), works out at £450 a month for me. I do a lot of miles (about 450->500mile a month), so the remaining £450 is fuel for me to get to work/back each month. Obviously if its just a w/end car the petrol costs would be less. In your example, £300. So thats not a like for like comparison then is it. In my example I never included MOT, Tax, Tyres or depreciation. All of that on a GTR with your mileage is likely to increase that monthly cost by about £800 or so (£2k service, £2k tyres, £5k depreciation, £400 tax annually). So, it would cost you circa £1,900 a month compared to your £900 a month 350z when compared like............... £1900 a month is a lot of money to be throwing at a depreciating asset like a car, not when a lot of people don't even take home £1900 a month from their salaries....

  11. If you put in down as monthly cost (the Financial Advisor in me ) it looks like this give or take; £600 - loan £100 - insurance (+/-) £100 - Servicing £300 - Petrol ( based on 8k a year, 200 miles per tank x £90 per tank = £3,600 per year / 12 ) So before you know it, the real world cost is £1,100 PER MONTH before you replaced any consumables such as tyres or brakes. You might be able to shave a bit off the insurance or even the petrol but then why buy it if your gonna do less than 8k per year. If you have more than £1,500 spare every month after paying all your bills and living costs then, why not? Otherwise, think again. Save hard and reduce the amount you'd need to borrow as the main bulk of that £1,100 is the cost to purchase the car in the first place.......
  12. That Eggs benedict looks amazing - I'm starving!!!
  13. Wow, thank you very much for the kind words. Seeing the photo's is really weird for me as I never get to see the house being purchased, it's usually just a load of words and digits on an application form. I'm glad I was able help make it happen for you. Ps: With regards to that £2k I saved you, my invoice for £1,995 is in the post
  14. Black shoes would be the dull/safe choice. Be different. I have 8 pairs of shoes and only two pairs are black...................
  15. Shame on them Pete The people sitting around them should report them. They should then be subsequently banned from all grounds for life. No one wants these idiots at our games. Irrespective of footballing rivalry, 96 people died at Hillborough. The minutes silence was also for the Italian player that died at the weekend, but the people who booed showed no respect for him either. Utter scum.
