Another thing that really puts me off is that the UK square plate does not seem to fully cover the holes left by the original plate and you end up with something like looks pretty awful ,imo, like this:

Uk shaped for me. The main reason is that the zed rear recess shape is not actually a rectangle or a square, it's wider at the top. So when you put a square plate in that shape it looks odd imo.

I'd love one for the Mrs if anyone wants to sell one for a 'small' premium

I think you must have missed the bit where she posted on this thread stating how boring it was. She didn't have to post this, no one made her do it. She could have ignored the thread like most of us ignored hers. She even posted this on Stew's thread, who was the one moderator that protected her threads by telling people to not post if they didn't like her threads, which has been duely taken on board by most.

Don't bother with it I've been to see it and although it's a lovely example despite various wear marks for a 10 year old car, the seller told me that it uses a lot of oil and also the HPI check comes back as a Cat C When i told him that, he dropped his price (by all of £250) and still hasn't listed that detail in the item description which is illegal if i remember correctly Stay clear of it! I think the only requisite is for the seller to provide you with the truth if directly asked or he can't put that its HPI clear and never been in accident if he knows it has.
