  1. Val was a complete bell end. He even re-mortgaged to pay for his wheels. Only 17 years left to pay on those **** 18" rims
  2. lol - and he had a blue Zed too. Lost me now...... How can you not remember Val? Its a shame most of the old school members don't come here very often (except me & Sarnie who are never leaving ) Aaah Sarnie - and he's still buying cars Edit - This place has changed out of all recognition Yep, still here and not going anywhere And Val was a prize cu nt. I agree and disagree with your main point though. To frequent posters, when someone posts something with an obscure title, it's probably relative to another topic or thread recently discussed and anyone party to it would probably know what the new thread was in relation to. Although to the outsider, it obviously means nothing..... I'm sure if you stick around long enough again, you'll get over it
  3. Dreaming of Rota's??? Oh dear. Are we supposed to be impressed that you've not missed a payment back to your mom for a car that you couldn't afford to buy yourself?? You say that its not that you can't afford it yet the first line of your first post says "Man, I really don't want to do this but I'm struggling a bit at the minute. I'm questioning whether my love for the car is worth the stress of constantly being skint". You can't afford to mod a car that you are struggling to even pay for, it's pretty simple! I'm sure your parents would be impressed if you paid them back in half the time rather than buying tat Rota's............
  4. Why are you modding a car you can't afford to keep!?!?!!? I'd be furious if I lent my son money for a car and he was blowing all his money on crap for the car before he'd paid me back. Especially if he was bleating about not being able to afford it and going to sell it!! All your money should be going into paying the car off asap. Mods are a complete luxury, an excess, an indulgence. They are NOT a neccessity like petrol and bloody food!! I can't actually believe what I'm reading........

    E46 m3

    They look awful. IMO.
  6. I'm not sure about this. Keeping cars for 2-4 weeks? The beauty of owning a car is to research it, find it, buy it, love it, mod it, love it even more. You've taken this car in PX, which as a two seater is obviously compromised, and then two weeks later your selling at it doesn't have enough seats?? I'm all for variety but two weeks isn't long enough to actually appreciate a car.....

    E46 m3

I agree with you but its better on paper but not for me. Don't get me wrong I'd love one but I personally found for me anyway it didn't give me the same feeling the Z did. The e46's have bushes everywhere and they tend to fail but they are usually very good. I agree that the Zed has a lot more soul and the V6 and low down grunt make it a great car. For me, the M3 is the best alternative that can accommodate kids in the back......

    E46 m3

Rubbish. I remember the rear subframes and Vanos being E36 issues, not E46 issues. They are also weak points of the E46 also, but every single car out there has stuff written on the internet that should be avoided like the plague when the reality is that the cases are isolated, so for someone to advise someone else not to buy a certain car because of these issues is ridiculous. Even more so when said person owned an E36 not an E46!
  9. Estoril was my first choice until I saw a clean PY in the flesh. I really wanted an Imola car but these are like hens teeth! I'm expecting to run till the middle of next summer and then upgrade it, but at the minute I'm loving it, especially being my first convertible!
  10. I don't NEED anything but naturally I'm already spending on it!! New wheels are inbound!!!
  11. The colour is bizarre, it's like a yellow/green/gold depending on the light........I like it. If you look at the classified almost every M3 for sale is black or silver and I've already had a black one...
  12. Cheers! To be honest I spent months hunting one down that had everything I wanted (convertible, facelift, black leather, sat nav, SMG, sub 80k and hard top) and now I have it the hard top is a real pain. First of all, it's really heavy and definitely a two man job to get off. Secondly, I converted my garage into a room years ago and don't have anywhere to put the hard top apart from in my house or my office, which my Mrs isn't going to like! I'm looking into some self storage units locally to store it along with a load of other house stuff.
  13. +1 Its on my "to own" list Ta! It's hard to find an unmolested one nowadays, and as much as I promised to keep it OEM, i have a ruckload of mods on the way
  14. It's an acquired taste for sure, looks infinitely better in the flesh. Keeps me happy for the time being
  15. What on earth would ever make you think that? There's always hope! That hope died years ago, I'm never leaving
  16. What on earth would ever make you think that?
  17. DING DING DING I thought you hated the M3 you had before? Not a fan of the rasp but it's a great car, relatively cheap, I can chuck the kids in the back if needed and best of all it has no roof! Better than chugging around in a diesel Alfa for the last couple of years
  18. Err 4 I think!! I don't think there is a middle seat, I'd have to check!
