  1. I recall a car meet at the far (eastern) end of Madeira Drive where there was a lot of parking space - would that still be in conflict with what the Council have planned at the town centre/pier end? (Quite handy I seem to remember to get a drink etc in the marina complex)
  2. Saw the title and thought this was going to be a bit fishy.....

  4. But its not provided as standard, thats the point Sorry to disagree but it is standard - it is no different to traction control buttons or any other feature that can be used or otherwise by an owner - if the facility exists as fitted from the factory and without adding to or subtracting from the car's specification, then it is a standard item there to be used. It is for Nissan to prove abuse (i.e racing etc) for the warranty to be void. And note what Phil said who is probably the best placed to comment: A number of customers with UK orders have letters of confirmation that the warranty will not be invalidated by turning off the VDC.
  5. Thanks New washing machine and dryer on Thursday. Car will be as it was hopefully by Tuesday. Thank God for that, your smalls will be getting a bit 'niffy otherwise
  6. I find all this tranny reliability thing quite amusing given Alex who posted this thread up is shoving 600bhp through his ZED's transmission and reguarly using it on track days without drama Launch control or not, if a feature is provided as standard it should be fit for purpose - end of.
  7. The penalty against Hamilton for the first corner incident was unfair as it was really no more than a racing incident and in any event he paid for his error ( a big one) by flat spotting his tyres and having to stop for a tyre change. Anyone who watches the BTCC racing will see that type of move in virtually every race. The Massa into Hamilton incident was a blatant replica of Schumacher (his mentor) into Damon Hill. What Massa did by deliberately running into the side of Hamilton (pics about to confirm) was dangerous driving - it was only fortuitous no-one collected Hamilton as he sat on the track facing the rest of the field. The Massa/Bourdais incident was yet another example of the frustration Massa displays when he is not heading the field. Look at his driving at Silverstone - total muppet trying to control his car in difficult conditions in his attemps to stay with the field let alone get anywhere whereas Hamilton just left everyone standing. Now we hear Alonso is saying he will do what he can to help Massa win the championship and stop Hamilton. And Torro Rosso are hardly likely to appeal Bourdais penalty given who supplies their engines The comment on the PlanetF1 website sums McLarens and Hamiltons chances of winning the championships: "WHAT THE F**K ? It seems to me that at this point in the season only Divine Intervention would help Lewis win the Championship FAIR and SQUARE...but then again God's earthly Rep. resides in Rome!" The blatant corruption going on to ensure Fiarrai win the championship is a disgrace.

    why?

like it! More seriously, 350 sounds good for a 'free' for sale ad - at that figure the owner/car is likely to be pretty well known. Below that figure a small payment to sell a car (and parts?) would not be unreasonable given that membership on here is free. First priority should be those who have contributed to discussions etc rather than opportunists, who I can''t blame given the absence of any 'ruling' on using the site for their purpose. Guess it is a sign of the times that ZED owners have not previously had to worry too much about depreciation in the past and the credit crunch is now forcing sales.
  9. They are getting like the FIA F1 stewards - too much power
  10. ...... and no one at that point in the race could predict the outcome - think about it - if Massa retired before the end of the race that might have meant elevating Hamilton into/up the points table (at Bourdais's expense) and that wouldn't do, would it

    why?

+1 on all points So that means Sarnie wouldn't be able to sell any car on here? Anyone can post 15 posts in a matter of hours commenting on threads etc. 100 would mean, more than anything, that they have to spend a fair amount of time on the site and can't just come on here and take advantage of the users and resources that people on here have spent a lot of time and effort to build. So that would only take you 6.09 days at your current spamming rate

  13. Welcome back Lexx Oh, by the way - no use going to ESR for bits starightaway - Martinmac has just been and cleaned them out again

    First clean pics

Don't you just love the power As you say Rentech, takes some work but can't beat black when it looks as good as your work I even saw that Martinmac's roadster was black when ESR got his ZED cleaned up after fitting his new wheels
  15. Nice And the car looks good too
  16. would it be this type http://www.mandy.co.uk/howtopullwheelies/how2/index.htm otherwise might be in need of this http://www.scienceandsociety.co.uk/resu ... e=10287396
  17. Hamilton makes a complete arse of himself with red mist about him and then post the race end the Stewards decide that Sebastien Bourdais exiting the pits (correctly) should take take a 25sec penalty for Massa banging into him at turn 1, nicely handing Massa another point Now both Hamilton and Massa did themselves no favours in this race but with virtually every race now the Stewards seem to find someway of ensuring Ferrari gain at the expense of McLaren. Now it might be just purely co-incidence of course when I saw an interview with Max Mosely in his FIA office last week that on a cabinet was a fabulous model of the latest Ferrari....................... And never mind what Max gets up to with call girls to help his credibility but lets hope someone does some serious investigation into just what it is that makes the controllers of F1 so biased towards Ferrari and anti McLaren that they will do anything to stop McLaren and its drivers winning the titles. It sucks edit - opps sorry Mods meant to put this in the off topic section - just got so wound up by what I have just heard..... )
  18. here?: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16915 Nice matt finish But I prefer the before pics
  19. I hear what you're saying, however that's not the case - or the reason I put it on here. The first reason I put it on, is that I've seen others doing it not only on this forum, but on others too. The second is that a lot of car forum'y type people are in IT, or at least they are in my experience so far and so I thought perhaps they may know someone, or perhaps be looking for a change themselves. The third is, that I thought this was a pretty open community that enjoyed helping each other out, advice or otherwise - so in this case I've put up an ad for a job, which I put here: http://www.cwjobs.co.uk/JobSearch/JobDe ... d=41417095 first.. That and I dislike recruitment agencies, having in the past worked for one (in an IT role). I have a problem with paying 25% for them to send me a CV - which in this case could potentially be £8000. Its worse than the commission you'd pay an estate agent in some cases - and they do a lot more work for it. So no blushing from me, IMO I have many valid reasons It's only networking, just online. Go for it, and I reckon you'd be about right with the ratio of IT peps on most forums. Good luck, and if you can beat the agencies at their own game, do it. +1 Past experience of using agenices taught me they are more miss than hit and attract too many transients who have no long term interest in the job. In some ways its like those who come on here looking for ZEDS, they are looking for what is likely to be a more sound buy than what is offered up in autotakethepiss or the like. Someone on here might well be suited for the job, and if known to others here might just be a little more of a sound bet that someone applying who is completely unknown. Just my two-penny's worth
  20. Without olly telling us a little more I am tempted to ask if it is something as simple as a fuse so the fans do not cut-in when required? I am no mechanic but seeing he lives in Surrey I would be happy to help out with a decent garage recommendation in Cheam - if he wants to pm me Oh, and to the forum
