  1. Only a thought.... How about having the Sat overnight in Wales, either in one hotel or all staying close by? That worked well on the Hoon as it meant a great social get-to-gether on the Sat night and then straight into the real driving action for the whole of the Sunday. Then those who want to do the full blown 2 day meet can do the drive out from Chester on the Saturday and anything else planned for the day (* see below for an idea) whilst those who may have limited time can come direct to the Wales stopover on the Saturday evening (or on the Sunday morning if not staying overnight). For me the idea of the drive to and from Chester on two days has less appeal than a good whole day's driving on the Sunday and we know there are a lot more great roads there to enjoy . I have noticed from previous Wales 'aftermouth' write-ups that some would have preferred some more driving, and perhaps my idea might also give more time at stops on the Sunday to catch up with everyone and check out the cars. I know the Chester/Hoole Road get-to-gether has become a tradition for the event for many and there seems no reason why that can't happen on the Friday night? It might also allow those members who follow the club, but are ZEDless (and by default barred from the run) at least enjoying the social that night? But I'll go with whatever is decided - its an event not to be missed that's for sure * Having made a vist to Demon Tweeks in Wrexham recently maybe they might be up for a ZED visit as part of the Saturday run out - perhaps a look round their workshop or something and of course they have a extensive shop....
  2. Massa - home race - local stewards 'looked after' by Ferrari - lets see if pigs really do fly

  4. Of course Like i said i would like to see a 2 day event with most people doing both days to maintain the spectacle but totally understand if people can ony do 1. This is more of a fact finding excercise at the moment. I'm up for two days but I expect the other 'alf will then expect two days shopping to match
  5. Have you tried the insurance companies who advertise on this forum's Home page
  6. Have a drool over this wonderful car!! The car pictured in this note is a Mercedes Maybach.. Notice the 'recliner' rear seats, and the 'electrostatic' sunroof. The sunroof turns from opaque to crystal clear depending on The passengers preference. NOW, STOP DREAMING AND GET BACK TO WORK! (BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT...............................OR NOT!)
  7. Nice one Colin , just been a bit busy of late to post up..But Winters here now Glad your back buddy - your experience and expertise has been missed
  8. to the forum and yep, you know you would miss those 's
  9. glad its not just me getting these and what with the viagra and and how I've won £88m or whatever (usually two at a time ) - there are some really sad wasters out there
  10. Hello, and welcome to the forum Here's a pic of the Falkens (275 on 19"Nismos) compared to the Stones (on 18" Rays.) Excellent value tyre within your budget and the grip is great in the wet - almost too grippy for the dry if you like a bit of the sideways stuff without too much provocation
  11. .................and you got those snow chains ready
  12. Yep - know of this and seen them "in action" (hiding behind a wall with a laser gun) Like vigilantes. An extract from a local rag: "When they catch someone travelling at excessive speeds – and not 'only just' over the limit but a fair way over it – they send the licence number to the police, who send out a warning letter. If it happens again they get a second letter but this time, and here's the clever part, they're told that if they are then caught speeding thereafter they will get prosecuted instantly and NOT just warned." Unfortunately we can expect to be targeted as the individuals who offer themselves up for this 'work' will inevitably target cars they perceive as being 'dangerous '. Jealousy, prejudice are words that spring to mind in their motivation.
  13. .......and from what I saw of the sig, spacers could be added
  14. removed your new tag as it was too big the destruction has begun
  15. Don't count - yet to see a pic on the road with its plates - or has been going so fast no one has caught it on camera
  16. Thanks Dicky - very helpful - going to give this a try
  17. Yeah, not many on here will be able to help due to the 70 mph limit but hopefully someone will be along soon who has , er, found a quiet stretch of road and experienced your symptons to help
  18. Nicely and fairly put Phil - there's more to life than work, whether its your passion or otherwise.................... as I keep trying to tell myself
  19. when you say you wouldnt waste time on it, does it mean you wouldn't touch it? Yeah sorry, should have been clearer. It's a superb deal and if you like it go for it quick before someone else does! Having seen that car it is a real bargain but don't expect to get it for a lower price as it has already been reduced to the point that selling many of the aded goodies and car seperately will be a more viable option
  20. Thanks Martin - we are to have someone so hard-working on our behalf.
  21. No excuse i live in essex, !!!!! Which means about two hours less driving than if you have got to get around/across London
  22. Nope, Bec went to a spa with some friends and i went fishing with some of the guys we met out there last year. We did'nt catch anything as the hurricane had churned the sea bed up therefore the marlin and sailfish and all the other big fish had gone to calmer waters. Yep that's par the course - 3 times I have given it a whirl going out from OZ's leading big game fishing harbour without success (family has a house there) but I reckon I scare 'em off and just end up catching few flatheads on the trip in for supper
