  1. What the DVLA leaflet says that Phil helpfully posted - no mention of points penalty Offences It is an offence to alter, rearrange or misrepresent letters or numbers in order to form names or words or in such a way that makes it difficult to read the registration number. Characters must not be moved from one block to the other e.g. AB51 DVL must not be displayed as AB5 1DVL or AB 51DVL. Vehicles with illegally displayed number plates may FAIL the MoT test. The police can also issue fixed penalty fines for illegally displayed number plates. Offenders are liable to a MAXIMUM FINE of £1,000 and in some cases the mark may be withdrawn. For vehicles with new or replacement number plates fitted after 31.8.2001, “3-lineâ€
  2. Great location for the shops yeah, and Buck Pal but no experience of those hotels. I know people who have stayed at The Tower in the past and its a great location to do the whole London tourist thingy (buses and tubes are easy to get you everywhere) but also for getting to Docklands and jumping on the ferrys down to the Eye/HP or in the other direction Greenwich/Thames barrier - in fact don't miss out on a river trip.
  3. Start saving http://www.guoman.com/the-tower/ but ideally located and with a river/tower bridge view.....
  4. Nah, sounds like you're driving it just right - it's the awesome sound it makes which keeps bringing me down into low gears!! thanks guys, I was begiining to think I was the only hooligan around here
  5. Thanks for the info guys and a quick Google revealed the link below - wonder if a certain new GTR owner on here has purchased this - looks the business with the electronic control unit http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/58534-apexi- ... alve.html# And in answer to 3FIDDYZ's question about the merits, for me the advantage is when you want to play the fun factor steps up another level. But for everyday use and in areas where a bit of discipline is needed with the right foot you are not going to attract unwanted attention
  6. Sarnie got there well before you
  7. Common as muck! Tha's the type of muck I'd like to fall in
  8. I'll see if I can get the extra tank fitted in time knowing the length of your wee little drive outs
  9. have you any idea how many of us are sat in front of our screens waiting to see the beast
  10. Can I come? Nope I'll rephrase that, drive out open to others?
  11. We can do both events with our new time warp machine Think it would have to be be more like a time machine
  12. guess I am so used to filling up having done about half that mpg I forgot that a (relatively) slow average on motorways can get you into the thirties.
  13. spotted One form of motorsport that has never really appealed to me although I admire the dedication of those who participate particuarly when engines/transmissions are seemingly on the brink of blowing. The guy you lost out to Kev does seem to have a mean machine there, just looking at the way it left the line and when he was talking about another 400-500 bhp to come Your Supra certainly had the pace after the start looking at the knock-outs
  14. Did you mean crawl rather than drive
  15. Erm this one http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-zLPwqhVnUU That will be mine then!!! Just found out there is a controller from Apexi that you can fit to the zorst that has a control inside the car so you can control the noise of the Zorst... tell us more.................
  16. +2 - brings back memories of the good old rust bucket days when I had cars that had more rust than sound metal
  17. Yep, Bigphil and his team sorted it, but i may change things over the winter. He even got me a bacon buttie Here it is repaired Looking good So, you gunna do a Tilly and give it some lip or give in to the Sarnie bum scraper philosphy - hang on, surely you are not going to try an keep up with martinmac and have another wheel change

  20. Look out Phil, they will all arrive and gang up to snap you at the same time so they each get a £50 voucher . Enjoy the motor - gives me another reason not to leave it too long for a visit to ESR
  21. If you get up real early you can drive down and join up with the London to Brighton ZEDS
  22. +1 I've always said to stick it on He's scared it'll damage the paint.... Well cant really blame him I guess! Whether it is the plate or the holder the affected area is covered so what's the big deal
  23. It it were genuine and the price had lost £10k along the way I certainly hope an 06 has not fallen to £13.5k What a tanker
  24. Nope - don't buy from main stealers (only get the servicing done there for warranty purposes). Got mine new from Evans Autos (sure you will know of them) having bought a s/h one a year of so earlier (also from Evans) but then decided to splash out on the curent one rather than give the tax man more than I had to. Mind you, the way prices are now...... But then its all relative and might get tempted by some of the deals out there as dealers try and get some cash flowing
