  1. I know the feeling...............but the deal with the other 'alf when I got my Nismo's was worth it
  2. Crazy - to get off virtualy scot-free having caused that situation just confirms the laws in this country are a joke. And even if they are maimed for life - well, sorry that have no sympathy at all.
  3. 35's i think Thanks - what about the width as well? nasty stutter nasty stutter there Rob but 245 and 275 are what you are looking for looking for edit: bloody mod gets in again first
  4. Oh yeah...... I have one of them too! It's quite an event cleaning my wheels! 4 brushes and a wash mitt........ and here is his response to his neighbours taking the micky
  5. Are you a man or a mouse????? It's actually exercise working out your left leg! 350Z - the healthy option! its a muscle car!
  6. Pistonheads ad says Cambridgshire Edit Don't you just hate it when a Mod upsurps your post and gets in first
  7. Fraid not mate, had an email from CID today saying that they can't see anything useful from surrounding CCTV so not surprisingly it would seem that they picked their spot wisely. Andy: Hope you get over the nightmare soon. Whether you will want the car back now I guess is debateable - if you do I am sure everyone on here will continue to keep their eyes open. Not sure about any 'distinquishing' features related to your car (or its reg for that matter) so a bit difficult to tell from for sale ads or just spotting on the road whether it might be your car. If you want to share more......but perfectly understand if you do not Just mentioned this as seeing cfoster's equally frightening experience he also showed lots of pics of his car with some very individual tell-tales.
  8. As trev says really. I always suggest slowing the change down. My car doesn't do it at all. However my previous car suffered from a notchy change from 1st to 2nd. If you take an extra second to do the change it normally sorts it out! Agree with those above in general, until the oil in the box has warmed to its correct operating temp its treacle characteristic when cold will mean a more restrictive change . I usually give a small throttle blip on the change up while it still cold to help the change - once its warm the change is smooth as silk
  9. +1 with what xStric9x says about your Rays but I find it hard to believe that an 07 car should have that problem so soon - makes me wonder if the wheels have been changed over - does the tyre wear seem commensurate with the mileage? On the phone issue - I presume you have tried raising the volume and you are talking towards the mic (by the rear view mirror? The only other thing I think of is that given its s/h the cars phone book may be full and/or the number of previous phones tried has muddled it (that is a guess). Might be worth deleting all the phonebook entries (Page 4.38 in my handbook) and pairing your phone again with the car's bluetooth. Other than that you may well have a faulty mic in the car. The gearbox noise and even the range of clutch issues does not sound right at all. That needs a NGB inspection IMO. Hope this helps Did you have an independent inspection before buying?
  10. Different plane Paul, this is the one that lands at Airbus That one has definitely been on too many steriods
  11. The size of that thing it would probably take ALL the Zeds from down south, let alone a few
  12. You had better send a pm to Scrag Meister
  13. All in good time, just on the 22nd chapter now but now gone out for a
  14. That haggis we had at the Applecross Inn for the lunch stop on the Hoon was real yummy - best of the ones that I tried while in Scotland. Does anyone know what it was?
  15. You were too quick for the vid car, only saw you for about 30 secs! But yep, can see both flame throwers were working well The white Porsche seemed to have strayed onto the track for a Sunday afternoon camber and some of the lines were, er different particuarly by the Caterham/Westie. Having watched the (ITV4) recording last night of the latest BTCC visit to Knockhill, there is some impressive sideways leaps over the brows - they do justice as rally drivers as well as racers
  16. Zzzz seemed to get the 4th to 6th issue sorted see the link (if you have not already done so) and he might be able to help on the 1st to 2nd issue http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0
  17. Mike - are you sure that it is not the exhaust expanding/contracting that's making those noises, especially being new? Might be worth going to a quiet location on a gradient and with the ignition on/engine off, coasting down to see if the noise is there when you brake? Take care doing this with no power steering or brake assist on.
  18. Got to ask the question Alex, why does it seem it is only the nearside pipe that spits flame on the overrun - is it simply beacuse its the shorter exit?
  19. Stay overnight at Chester so you can give the car a clean just before the run as it will be bugged up and the wheels covered in brake dust, or worse if its rained on the journey up and you will feel so frustrated after your work cleaning work back home I can recommend an excellent B&B just south of Chester with facilites to wash the car and there is a great bistro just down the road from it - well worth it - pm me if interested . Or meet up with many of the others around Hoole Road but be careful with that
  20. Now you should be all romantic Stan and stay here in this little B&B in E - queen size 4 poster and look at the plasma you get Have to say, I was bit taken aback when I saw the decor but it went with the period property just 20 mins walk from Princes Street
  21. Oh, its a Lnb - silly me - should have known it was the Low Noise Block (but ever so glad it has been explained ) One last question - I presume I can't use the Sky+ box for recording with the free sat (having opted out of the Sky subscription) in the meantime before the new DTR (recorder) becomes available?
  22. Thanks Beavis - er... what is the 'Inb'? I value the record facilty/pause live TV etc options that Sky+ offers, so do I gather this is not available yet for freesat?: http://www.humaxdigital.com/freesat/default.asp
  23. Anyone gone down this route yet?: http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?page ... ation.Main Thinking of this as I really can't justify £40 per month Sky subscription as most sports I want to see are on ITV4 or Dave now. Plus the Sky hardrive has the usual voice cut outs (usually at the most crucial moment ). Where I live I can't get all channels by terrestial and there is no cable - but as I have the Sky+ dish the Freesat seems a good option now. One downside at the moment is that the recorder is not available yet? Like the idea of the IDVT Panasonic - presume you can relay off to another TV? Opinions/help very welcome
