Now the repair is all so very clear - I had always thought the regreasing option (and done by Nissan dealers) was only a temp fix as the symptons reminded me of the old BMC driveshaft issues - damage had been done to the joints that grease alone would not fix. Anyone who is wary of tackling this job themselves and is offered the 'quick fix' by the dealers can now refer them to this sticky to show them how it should be properly done. Top stuff Toffeeman

Put my two-penny worth in. Not sure the age/mileage of your ZED but do the records show if the brake fluid been changed, particuarly if the car is over 3 years old? I always remember going to a seminar by a Castrol expert telling us about how water gradually builds up in the system - a possibility in your case? Phil or others more in know can say if the ZED's system is susceptible to this problem but if the fluid has been 'diluted' that maybe a cause

Nice turn out and some good pics there Interesting to see the increased bonnet opening on those ZEDs with the lifters as opposed to the standard stay - any issues in windy conditions using those as I am always wary of leaving the bonnet propped up on the standard stay?

Welcome to the forum All the gunmetal owners wili say that - cos they think because their cars are left in primer (and therefore cheaper) they will also be lighter in weight - truth is to get a real shiney black one as it cuts through the air like a knife through butter and therefore so much quicker Can have blue if you like but a bit gay and would be second second best
