  1. Started to see that some sites are blocking out their content as I use an ad blocker on the Mac (Ghostery), which has been quite useful at reducing the crap that otherwise simply puts me off going anywhere further with the site concerned. So, they may think they are being clever but no skin off my nose if they think that will make me turn off the ad blocker. PB is riddled with ads now - last time I went on there 32 of them had been blocked and even then pop-ups were getting through, so again my use of PB is likely to cease altogether OK, so you can pay for ad-free service (which by all accounts it never is) but all these extra monthly fees soon add up, but frankly I'm not that desperate to view stuff that relies on ads to perform. Certainly looking forward to the forum upgrade that will hopefully allow posting of full size pics directly from the phone/camera so that we do not have to phaff around with the current laborious method imposed by the impact on bandwidth.

  3. How to here: http://www.350z-uk.c...s-to-the-forum/
  4. Fake! If that car was made in 2002 that predates the Nismo OEM editions surely? Moreover, I think the seller is covering themself by the description: Nissan 350 Z Nismo Edition ST version Would still a nice low mileage 350 to own, but the price is a try-on, IMO
  5. snap! just beaten to the posting
  6. Nico club is a good source - but takes a bit of digging to find things, although that is probably just me going into the pages very occasionally. http://www.nicoclub....ce-manuals.html
  7. Talking of BGW, on Sunday I saw a 350 with one and honestly it was so tall it reminded of this era:
  8. But aren't things supposed to look better after a makeover? All in the eyes of the beholder as to whether the makeover is better or not and you know me well enough Dan that I bought GUNs for the driving pleasure rather than show with a new outfit
  9. Not Ninos car anymore........nor mine - seems a lot more than 2 and bit years ago I was enjoying GUNs, before it had the makeover
  10. Have you simply checked the connectors are properly joined together? The fact it stopped working after removing a bottle would suggest that may be the issue, as you will not the first by any means who have had that problem caused by loose items under the seats.
  11. As Will says ^^^ - common issue reported over the years at winter time
  12. I did, but maybe I'm not understanding... Points 7 & 8 will make it all nice and aligned, but as the engine is off when it's aligned, won't it will be aligned for just that? When I'm moving you say there will be some flex that causes everything to change position. As such, won't it will be back out of alignment when moving. Or does following those steps align it with that in mind? I.e. has Nissan planned ahead and designed it so by lining it up with that notch it will be setup perfectly for when they car is moving etc. As such, will that mean it will be nice and smooth while driving, but trying to shift while stationary will be notchy (though obviously this is better than having it notchy while driving). Am I on the right lines here? THIS
  13. see points 7 & 8 in the link I posted @ number 26
  14. Gate is fixed to the tunnel - the gear lever moves with the engine/box flexing on their mountings
  15. Se my first Zed in my sig
  16. Cheers. However, thinking about it, can I discount this as a possibility since when I'm stationary (engine off or idling) it's silky smooth? If it was misaligned, then surely I'd have issues all the time, and it wouldn't be dependant on the revs? When I had the issue on the 370 it was fine when stationary, but at the time I persuaded the mechanic to drive it when he experienced the problem and then sorted it. This was on the way home from the Nissan dealer who had changed the box under warranty - and so I guess they did not do a full road test
  17. This is definitely worth a look. I heard (on the forum) that this can affect 5th/6th gear selection at least. If the box has been out then it seem a likely place to at least have a fiddle. Doesn't sound like it will help with 2nd though Would it be obvious if it wasn't located correctly? And how do you go about checking? Here you go: http://www.350z-uk.c...-the-gear-gate/
  18. Yep you have the OEM 18" Rays
  19. Even having decent tyres on that are getting down to their last few millimetres won't help and whilst we all like to think we are great drivers and some are good at drifting so that means they are even better........the fact is it will always be the unexpected that will catch out even the best drivers. Recently had a driving experience at Mercedes Benz World to see just what you could do with the A45 and a C63 with that included traction off/partly on/fully off on the circular skid pan and saturated brake testing areas and like it not with the traction on the stopping distances and gyration prevention were significantly better.
  20. Expert opinion on here over the years have stressed the importance of using the correct gearbox oil from Nissan. And I have seen plenty of feedback where others have reported that the addition of Molyslip can work wonders. Your own doubts about the gearbox work carried out would, if it were me, tend to find out what oil was put in and if not Nisan's own to get it changed with the addition of the Molyslip. A relatively cheap way of seeing that cures the issues. Maybe completely unconnected, but given the gear selection difficulty just maybe the 'gate' under the gearlever is not quite correctly located - I had this issue once on the 370.
  21. Good news about the removal of the tumor, but the op sounds horrific and do hope Caroline recovers from that soon. Send her our very best wishes Pete and hope she is back home sooner rather than later - that will help you both Colin & June.
  22. Not sure I recall anyone needing a replacement box other than octet who then had a special built up by an Indy over pond that would take up to 1000 bhp I believe when he had his 370 blown to give over 600 bhp. Maybe a call to a dealer......sitting down, me thinks . Or you could pm Zmanalex who may have that info.
