  1. Got mine on order so I need a "special" switch now And add some mirrors that drop down when parked so everyone can appreciate the rainbow you have created
  2. Fully agree - find the limits in a controlled environment - my motorsport days taught me an awful lot about my own and the cars' limits at the time, but you are always learning and I have a CAT driving day lined up at Millbrook using the 370 to explore its and my own limits now that it is set up to my liking, so still continuing to learn after ** years of driving .
  3. Neat looking job there, and as you say it can easily be returned to 'standard' if necessary. I went the opposite route in wanting a spare wheel and not being worried about the Bose quality (it is hardly ever used). As the car is built to carry spacesavers in other countries where it is mandatory simple job of fitting a 350 spacesaver in the location with the subwoofer inside the wheel. Only issue is need for spacers on the front so the 350 spacesaver fits over the larger calipers, but as I run with spacers anyway...... Jack and brace courtesy of ZMANALEX. I have kept the compressor in the car as I find it is quite good for topping the tyres up and more reliable than local garages where the pumps are often not working
  4. One of the present foremost road testers that I know from back in my motorsport days when he first applied to join a leading motoring magazine as a journalist, was asked the question at his interview as to whether he had ever crashed a car. Answering truthfully and in detail, but fearing the worst, he owned up to rolling a car and writing it off. Was offered the job, beating a number of other hopefuls, and somewhat surprised about owning up to the accident was told that he would have a learnt a big lesson about his own limits and in which case he was less likely, in their view, to crash another being someone who clearly had a passion for motoring and that was a big factor in their decision.
  5. Can't wait for the next installment Dunno where you find the time to do your day job, let alone keep us going with the story ad pics
  6. Thoroughly enjoyed those pics Historic entries bring back some memories
  7. Thread locked as item is sold
  8. This should be the start of a Darren-B appreciation thread - top man for helping members out - the 350z-uk's very own AA man on our drives and now does get you out of bother at home service too, eh Dave I'd keep it in
  9. Just get your butler to open and close the gates and save all the hassle
  10. I've asked the service manager at Motorline Nissan Tunbridge Wells if it is a know issue with the 370's. The answer is no but hey have had a couple on the GTR's which were resolved by changing the tilt sensors. Not sure where you are but I'm sure Ian Fraser at Motorline would help confirm and resolve the issue if you can get there. Mention the forum and my name - hopefully a free check might be be on offer
  11. You sure this is not cold related before the tyres have warmed up? Something that surprised me during the first winter with the 370 after the previous 350's that were 'tyre noise-free' in the cold. Yes, as others have said the suspension set-up at the front of the 370 does seem to provoke what I would describe as the tyres scrubbing on full lock when cold. This seems to be a feature related to the 'summer tyres' (RE050A's) fitted, but I have to say that since I have had the Sessantas fitted (also described as summer tyres) they seem to have eliminated that scrubbing type noise. If you still get the noise in warmer weather or when the tyres have warmed up, then clearly something else is going on, that personally I have not experienced. Oh, I should add I have an extre degree of toe-in front and rear that has certainly improved the turn-in over standard and I had that done before the tyres were changed
  12. Only one key? Should have two. Maybe the battery in the key has died?
  13. Welcome to the forum and a really great introduction Now given your location......guess you might know what I am going to say (my sig gives the game away ) Oh, and watch out for your nearby neighbour as he does have a soft spot for Sunset 350's
  14. Given the recent hype about Nismo involvement, why oh why no Nismo model here. I like the new wheels and looks as though red calipers being adopted - they look very nice. Front end though is far too 'tame' - again the Nismo treatment (or similar ) is needed. And no mention of any exhaust changes: NISSAN - IT IS A SPORTS CAR - MAKE IT SOUND LIKE ONE Hope the message gets through
  15. Just shows what winter tyres can do, but a bit sad they give the impression at the beginning and the end that the car would be on inters Good sideways fun though
  16. DE engine (in my 2006 'facelift' ZED) HR engine - as fitted to my 370 but externally looks the same as fitted to 2007+ ZEDS
  17. Presume you mean a DE engined 'facelift' as opposed to an HR engined ZED, given the change over in 2007? For example, a DE engined car bonnet will not fit a HR engined version
  18. You ought to get an independent ZED specialist to check out just what it is first. If you post up the area where are based (most put it their avatars) we can point you in the right direction and may well save you money on buying what turns out to be un-needed parts
  19. One to remember for te next tyre thread
