Wheel alignment and alloy refurbishment in Surrey
Ebized replied to CarrotCakeIsYum's topic in 350Z General
Abbey motorsport (Trader on here) might be best for you given what you have described. Give them a call. There is nowhere in the Epsom area that I have heard that is good, or dare I say knows the ZEDs well enough. -
All you need to know to retro-fit (in a coupe at least) : .pdf]

Gutted for you and just hope the insurance pay out a decent sum.

I can see this meet turning into a ZED boot sale

Add some molyslip viewtopic.php?f=157&t=43465&hilit=molyslip But I suggest you pm ZMANALEX first to confirm if he thinks that will help resolve the issue. 1st to 2nd baulking is well known and especially when cold you need to ease the change. Once warmed up and on the move it should be fine - if the changes are still difficult it might be something else, but lets hope the work done has sorted it for you.

Whats the average age of a zed owner? new for 2012
Ebized replied to brillomaster's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Its nice to see how many 'youngsters' own 350's - good luck to them. I guess an E-Type was the one everyone in my age group in the sixties aspired to - fortunately I got to drive one froom time to time owned by the garage boss where I worked evenings/weekends and who allowed me to use the workshop to help keep my road/off-road Beetle going: Thank you for reminding me about what I should be feeling -

WALES 2012 - Invitation to potential first timers
Ebized replied to Ebized's topic in National Events & Shows
As of today we have 18 entries, all from seasoned members. So what is stopping you putting your entry in? This is an invitation to pm me with any queries you have - I do mean any - i.e. what goes on, what does it cost etc, as we keep seeing newbies posting about coming out on our meets but there it largely stops. The team has taken on board the feedback from last years weekend from first timers that attended about being involved more by the 'regulars' and a conscious effort will be made this year to that end. And I well remember being in the same situation in 2006 at my first Wales weekend as a newbie so we are aiming to do better this year So I am inviting anyone who has not been to a Wales weekend to pm me to ask whatever questions you have - they will remain confidential and if you prefer I can call you back, if you provide a telephone number and preferred time for a call. This thread has been locked to prevent it becoming a free-for-all, but you can post up here if your prefer viewtopic.php?f=57&t=57287. -

I heard recently that it is a 13 hour job to change the clutch on a S2k - if that is right it would be something to carefully check before buying one given what that would cost if not a DIY I enjoyed a S2k test drive a few years back before I bought my first 350. But the mag testers who I respected at the time were all saying the 350 was THE choice and to get the best out of a 350 required bigger balls, something I had to see if I had 3 ZEDs later and I still have these when I get out on my favourite roads.

Saga and DON'T Well blow me down When I had turned 50 i bought one of the first Turbo Scoobys in the UK and thought - ah Saga as I had hit the magic age! When I rang them they were over twice the price of a couple of other companies I had checked. I just concluded they regarded anyone over 50 driving one of those would be a real risk - remember those were the days when the Turbo Scoobys looked just like the non-turbo versions and their true potential was not well known and the Escort Turbo's were the 'in-car' to have then

Will watch with interest how this progresses. This thread might help the weight reduction ideas : viewtopic.php?f=25&t=55133&p=795848#p795848 (I'm always one for not 're-inventing wheels' when its not necessary, and searching MrLizard's threads might be helpful )
