YES, THE BIG ONE Based at Moreton Park again, but for those not familiar with the venue here you go: http://www.moretonparkhotel.co.uk/home.html THE EVENT IS FOR Z OWNERS ONLY as the Club's insurance puposes limits the entries to 50 But this year it has been decided to allow up to 10 non-350/370 Nissan Z's, owned by members on here who have more than 100 posts. Entries on a first come first served basis. We have secured 30 rooms for the nights of the 18/19/20 May (if you wish to stay for 3 nights). But the 19th will be the busiest and the advice is to get booked NOW. That will reserve you a room against your credit card, which only becomes payable when you arrive or if you don't show and don't give 24 hours notice. Double room prices are even slightly reduced compared to last year Single occupancy rooms will be @ £47.00 Bed & Breakfast and Double occupancy will be £52.00, and includes full English Breakfast. You will not get it any cheaper through Late Rooms etc as we have effectively reserved the majority of rooms that are available. The telephone number for bookings is 01691776666. Eileen, Jackie or Jenni will normally be your contacts there. We would ask that you only book if your are serious about attending as the last couple of years have been over-subscribed. If you find you cannot attend after booking please let me know first so that we can re-allocate your room to another 350Z-uk member, otherwise it could go on the general public availability list. When booking please tell Moreton your forum username (as well as the other personal details they require). This will help us monitor bookings. PROVISIONAL PLANS FOR THE WEEKEND WILL BE SIMILAR TO LAST YEAR ALTHOUGH WE WELCOME ANY IDEAS ON THE DISCUSSION THREAD: So: Saturday19th: A drive-out in the morning - around a 100 miles, using roads we have found to offer some nice challenges for ZEDs and to include a short break for refreshments. Expect to be back at Moreton about 2pm. In the afternoon we are hoping some traders will turn-up, which Moreton are happy to accommodate, and time for car cleaning (weather permitting) as there will a prize or two for the best ZEDs In the evening Moreton are laying on a BBQ for us (again weather permitting and priceed between £12-£15 per person). We will have use of a large room in any event. No doubt Moretons bar will be busy that afternoon/evening For the +1's there is the option of a train-ride to Chester for the day (from nearby Chirk Station) for a bit of retail therapy and enjoyed by a few last year. In addition, the Moreton Park Garden Centre right next door offers far more than just the name suggests with various retail outlets and eateries. http://www.moretonpark.com/gardencentre Sunday 20th: The big drive-out using some of the old favourite roads but again with some new roads. Mileage likely to be around 150. Lunch stop at the Waterloo Hotel in Betws-y-Coed Evening meal is a free choice at Moreton (or elsewhere) if required. THINGS TO DO NOW: 1) Book accommodation (if required) 01691776666 Please tell Moreton you are part of the forum and give them your username. 2) Add your name; whether you will be doing both drives or just one and the nights booked at Moreton onto the running list: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=57287&p=824856#p824856 3) Any queries - either post up on the discussion thread: or pm me. 4) Wish the time away. Anyone thinking of coming along for the first time see here: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=57454&p=828269#p828269

Congrats, but how about posting up your own thread with some pics

What brand of LSD do you have fitted mate? If you are running a stock VLSD then they give very few problems unless abused Alex. Picking up from that and given the manual advises ZEDs not to be towed on the rear wheels or brake tests done on rolling roads because of possible damage to the diff, if that has happened does it cause droning noises or would there be other symptoms?

Glad to see you are doing your bit to keep the Storm Whites a little more exclusive Fancy putting the Nismo's on? - lets see some pics And someone is going to get a good car with your Sunset and I know what you mean about trade-ins lose some money but a whole lot less hassle than selling privately and having stripped most the good bits off you get some of your '350 investment' back'

Indeed it was Picked them up today, paid £850 in the end due to a small scuff on one of the fronts. New Falkens on the rears still had the rubber nipples on the tread Just need a bit of autosol a bit of elbow grease and my front tyres swapped onto these ( Once the threat of snow has gone!!) Autosol Please don't use that it is far too abrasive - they are not chrome/stainless steel but laquered.

+1 If it had hit your neighbour's car he would be claiming off your house insurance. Would only go down the car insurance route if for some reason the house insurance wriggle out of a claim and the price of the repairs mean it would be a no brainer not to claim, as others are saying ^^^^
-
+1 +2 and lets hope the insurance claim goes OK for you.
-
350 autos only here as imports, so very limited numbers
-
Your quite at liberty to tidy your own posts..................and change your phone

The OP only has to ask - his choice......for the time being

Wind has been bad down here since Christmas
-
perhaps its because we have both been around on this planet for a similar time
-
No more cheap parts for you from now on
-
a real pain in the ucking ar$e if you live in an attached house and with kids next door crashing about, or it seems that way to us and we are two doors away in a terrace - the neighbour in between is tearing her hair out with the noise who then turns her telly/radio up so we in turn suffer Polite requests gets the response along the lines, children will be children and door is shut Probably fine for the users - nice and easy to clean and all that, but neighbour friendly, definitely not

Great work Alex and I see Mega has posted his appreciation ( ) on 'your' thread - well deserved I reckon that garage owes Alex at least a drink or two And glad you are sorted Mega

+1 - best you tell us your general location so we can point you in the right direction for a specialist

I asked when I picked it up about warranty and they said there was no extension. I would have expected a year, and I would imagine if anything were to go wrong in the short term they would probably fix it as goodwill - after installing a brand new engine you couldnt really ignore it if something went wrong shortly afterward - presumably there would be some consumer right that would protect against that? To be honest I'm just so glad to have it back I am trying not to worry about that! Mileage on the old engine was circa 29k. I would have thought there would be a years warranty with all Nissan approved parts, whther it is a spark plug or a whole engine.

I can assure you, and after many hours, if you think of 'needle and haystack' - good luck in your search The paint match ain't turned out to be that good in the link glrnet has posted for the 370 standard wheels and I would be inclined to do as speedwell has suggested, to be honest

A good independent will sort you out at prices far better than you have been quoted and be honest as to whether you actually need them. Suggest you try here as they seem one of the closest to you and are a trader on here http://www.h-dev.co.uk/index2.php?page=home ask for Jez -
Your thinking is correct, but you will need to take the issue up with Surrey County Council http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/sccwebsite/s ... endocument
