Reckon then that Caroline has been flirting with the bushes in your local lanes
  2. Vinson: To help you, you need to help us with a bit more info about your ZED. The pic of the crashed car here: http://www.350z-uk.c...following-part/ and that looks like the paint is Azure? Which makes it a 2002-2006 (pre- facelift) model. Your heading says it is a 2007(facelift) model but we do know quite a number of pre-facelifts were not registered until 2007, or later. If it is a facelift then it won't be Azure as that changed to Midnight blue. But then your avatar shows a red, pre-facelift 350? So to help Alex he will need to know the chassis number at the very least, but if anyone else on here is going to be able to help you really do need to tell us exactly what car you have.
  3. Out of curiosity I googled the Magnatec oil suitability for the 350 and they list Magnatec 10W-40 A3/B4 for the VQ35DE (http://magnatec.castrol.com/en/oil-selector.html). So basically it will be a thicker oil compared to the 5W-30 you bought and should not be so susceptible to getting past the rings, particularly when it gets hot. But as you say the smoke was appearing before the oil change and what came out was very black it may well be it was well overdue an oil change and that had broken down, which does not bode well for engine longevity.....sorry.

Good shout as he is relatively local
  5. What is the viscosity and make of the oil have you have used?
  6. You could have simply bumped the original thread - no point in duplicating the same questions.
  7. It could be one or more of several different issues - having used Tophooker (Marcus) myself as recommended by Mike ^^^ I can't recommend him highly enough to get to the bottom of what is causing the problem. Your experience with the problem coming back after 500 miles was very similar to mine - changed what seemed to be the obvious problem but it wasn't! Hopefully you are not too far from him in Cambridge, but he does also work remotely in the South East.
  8. Thanks for the heads up Matt and the link - locking the original request given the latest asks
  9. What Zmanalex says here maybe? http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/63241-squeeky-creaky-clutch/page__hl__%2Bsqueaky+%2Bclutch
  10. This(MPSS) is what I've been thinking I'll go for come Autumn, plus I didn't realise they'd be coming in at that price . What size are those you have Ebized, OEM I'd expect ? Yep, OEM sizes. When the MPSS first came out they didn't do the fronts in 40 profile, but then a set (with 35 profiles on all 4 corners) was mega expensive in comparison to the 'Stones and 'Vreds.

  13. Can anyone honestly say they would not swerve given the chance - natural instinct I would have thought when an impact might do more than damage the car?
  14. Ask Sly at Kaizer (trader on here) http://www.kaizermotor.co.uk/
  15. Must be because of the block you added to the pedal to reach it?
  16. The increased noise Will, was compared to the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. But really it depends on the road surfaces to me - no doubt something to do with how the tread pattern of individual tyres react. But where the MPSS score is in their road holding ability and particularly in the wet as those of us found during the last Wales weekend. They are clearly superior to the Bridgetsones and Sessantas from my experience of using tyres on the 370 and the prices have dropped to around £800-850 for a set of 4 to make them very competitive price-wise.
  17. I plan to spend some time at the start this Saturday - and enjoy the smokescreens As others have said - get their early to avoid the worst of the queues - car parks open at 6.30 and the venue gates at 7am.
  18. Hmmm....... and this one is the wrong section to See here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87012-sat-nav-confusion/ Closing this thread
  19. Moved from 370 FAQ If it is anything like that in my 370 (which does not have the post code facility) you type in the town/city first.
  20. When I lived in Epsom in recent years double yellows were put around many corners, to address concerns about emergency services access being frustrated that had been highlighted by residents and the services themselves, after (non-statutory) white lining attempts to deter were being ignored. It was certainly in the area around the town centre (within 10 minutes walk), where commuters were looking to park free and no doubt the local residents v commuters for available parking was a factor that helped the Councillors agree the restrictions thinking about their next term in office and additional revenue from fines But as Dan says, it is a drivers fault if an accident happens although if the police were involved potentially they might at least take some action against the inconsiderate parker, if only a warning.
  21. Great news James Come on WhackyWill is ok in small doses bad man SMD!! Lol Sent from my Zed using Nangkang tyres front, RE040's rear I thought the was not necessary, as long WW knows what a small dose is
  22. Feeling for you. Any help? http://www.itv.com/news/2014-06-13/details-of-urgent-fast-track-passport-plan-revealed/
  23. What makes you think it wouldn't sell? As from your description it has a lot going for it and honestly those " bad points" are minor issues and if they are the only things you know to be wrong someone could get a good buy - so research recent ZED sales to get an idea of a fair price.
  24. That's 'cos the centre of gravity is much lower with you in a coupe all hunched over
