  1. I agree it's not worth it but since as always it's the minority over there, I'm always ready to stand up for myself. Also don't forget I don't have a Zed anymore. I also agree that people are more pleasant here. You've only have to read the 2 threads about the engine awards to see that. Here's to free speech.
  2. Thanks Phil. I took my Impreza on their rolling road a few years ago and the boss gave me a tour of the workshop. Very impressive.
  3. You noticed..... Figthing for free speech mate.... Did you notice the difference. I've posted exactly then same remark about the Engine Awards for the VQ and the difference in hostility is quite significant. It's comments on threads like this which do the OC no favours whatsoever, even though the person in question thinks he's doinng the OC a service. This is in the members section in the OC though.

    Winter Cars!

Blimey Kev , I thought that Fiats dissolved like an aspirin in wet weather They do unless they spend 9 years in a garage like this one. It's got 45k on the clock too. It's not the most "manly" of cars, is it Kev? Steady on. Mid engine, lightweight, no power brakes or steering, and handles like a go-kart. Great fun to drive and dear I say as much fun to drive as a Zed..

  6. Try Noble's at Chesterfield. They build the Turbo Duratec Engines for Noble Cars. They Noble names a coincidence BTW.

    Winter Cars!

Back to the original topic. Here's my winter car which I also use for the summer.
  8. OK, but would you buy one if they cost £60k? Honest answers only please...
  9. Certain owners are so obsessed by their car that it has made them deluded. I agree. They are all just cars. Lumps of metal. Todays cars will be considered old slow bangers in 15 years, Zed inlcuded.
  10. Hi Guys, I was surprised to see this thread ressurected. Just to clarify are few points. I have never slagged off the Zed. I'm still a fan and agree that you need to consider price. I was banned for my views on a thread about a 3 series coupe compared to the Zed. All I did was post a few figures from the Top Gear track times. Anyway it all got very childish and stupid. Being a BMW owner who disagreed with a Moderator I was eventually banned by one. Let's just say some of the moderators over their have been after me for a while. Being a paid up member I of course complained and the ban was revoked, after a week or so. I agree with some of the recent comments, in particular how serious about their cars some of the guys over there are. Oh and the in crowd thing, definately real. I don't get the same attitude though over here. Keep it up guys..
  11. Pertol, ya know te stuff you put in your engun, icc pass the sherry...

What's the explorer like on fuel Tim? £2k for a decent 4x4 is certainly a bargain

    Winter Cars!

Tim, Is that a Ford Explorer? £2k bargain. Is that how cheap they are?
  15. It might be due to the enormous power and torque per litre they are getting out of it. Sore loser..

  17. Bit blick....what am I on about.. I agree BLING. It's the bolts, although I normally like split rims
  18. The look a bit blick for me close up. My dealer has them on show. I prefer the M6 alloys, but these are 19's same as my exisiting sport rims, so probably won't bother.
  19. Cool. The £4.5k was in a main dealer.
  20. One of it's plus points. The rear seat takes 2 full sized adults provided you're not too tall and the boot is very big for a coupe, i.e. bigger than the Zed, (much deeper and no strut bar in the way). I looked at the new XK and couldn't believe how small the rear seat and boot was. There was absolutely no way I could get in the back seat. Smaller than a 911 would you believe.
  21. That was me having fun over it And I thought it was the cat.. Freshly washed.
