  1. One of my favourites. This one taken on Holywood Boulevard..
  2. Thanks mate. Stratus Grey, looks even better in the flesh..
  3. Sounds like a cue to post a piccy of mine...
  4. Those ACS wheels are £4.5k in 20's...
  5. Yes seen it. Here's the Luma
  6. A cheap way of doing 170 mph though... Can't afford to sell for another year at least and was planning top keep for 2 years. I do like the idea of making the car feel "new" again after a few years of ownership though.
  7. Personally, I wouldn't do this. I think the 6 series has a very nice line, and adding spoilers on the boot or the window breaks that line, especially in side view. But then again, thats my opinion, and since when does that count About the chip, if you dont want any hassle with BMW, just wait to do this until the car is out of warranty. It'll make your car feel "new" again, and no worries about BMW giving you the finger in case of car problems I wouldn't go all the way on body kit, too much IMHO, but I was thinking of a rear window spoiler. Very subtle and I think it comes in carbon. As for the chip, my current thinking is to wait until most of my warranty has gone. Trouble is that's 2.5 years. Will I keep it that long, who knows. I said I would keep the Zed for a few years but ended up selling after 13 months.
  8. What is it currently limited to? How much is the DMS chip? The car is limited to 155 mph. Not been all the way yet but it certainly get's up there much quicker than than thh Zed, which is the torque doing all the work. Not sure what the top speed would be then but expect 170 mph to be easily achievable. On a private road of course. As for cost, I'm not sure but think it's about £700 ish, but this does come with warranty for anything BMW won't cover. There is some debate as to whether BMW can detect the chip, which makes me nervous.
  9. Hamann stuff is expensive but quality. I've been thinking of the rear window spoiler as a subtle mod to start me off. The conversion I really fancy is the DMS chip which liberates and extra 31bhp, i.e. 398 bhp and removes the speed delimiter..
  10. If I ever mod my 6 this would be the way I would go...
  11. We hired a Mustang Covertible in LA earlier this year. Also a 4.0 V6 but I was plesently surprised how good it was. I'd love a Shelby GT500. As for the Vette. I was very interested in a Z06. 500bhp and a 7.2 litre V8, but was very dissapointed with the build quality. No where near as good as a Mustang. There's also the issue of LHD. Not good on a performance car.
  12. Sure have. Never got round to sticking it on eBay.
  13. Thats about it Kev , I cant see the fun in sliding about in the salt and muck when I have use of another vehicle that I'm not so bothered about keeping clean Don't blame you mate. The Cossie is now off the road as I don't want to die...
  14. I haven't a clue what you are on about. Sorry. Who the hell is Chris Bangle?
  15. I'll be out on front with the Zeds struggling to keep up anyway.. .. Tim - Are you saying your's is laid up for the winter then?
  16. What's the BMW got to do with it anyway. I did say beauty was in the eye. Just my oppinion. I prefer a wheel which is functional. My Works Wheels were genuine split rims and I guess that puts me off the fake split rims. Just my taste, everyone is different. BTW the only thing practical about the Beamer is the back seats. With a 4.8 litre V8 and 367 bhp it's hardly what I would call a practical car. I've also found recetly that I can't even get a roof rack for it....
  17. I'll come and be the token non-Zed. Mind you that's months away. How about an Xmas drive out?
  18. Look like fake split rims to me, which I personally don't like. Beauty is in the eye and all that of course.
  19. I posted loads on this a while back when I was choosing my wheels. I did loads of research on this. Try a search of the forum. In summary to fill teh arch without the sticking out look then the widest I personally would consider is:- 9.5 +25 fronts 10.5 +29 rears If you go 8.5 / 9.5 then simply adjust the offsets above by roughly 6. Volks recommend 8.5 / 9.5 +22 alround which looks nice.
  20. I've used this stuff for ages. Used it in my Impreza, now Cossie and used it in my P1 service for the Zed, (now gone). I used 10w 50 in the Cossie and Impreza though as turbo engines need thicker oil.
  21. I wish I had gone for a 255 on the front. The 245/35 x 19 option does have a smaller rolling radius than the standard 18 inch wheel, so this does put extra streaa on the front suspension and creates more road noise. I spoke to the guys who supplied my wheels whilst I was in LA and he had 255's on his Zed. He said he started on 245's and changed them before they even wore out. I wish he's have said that to me before I ordered them. Anyway you live and learn. He was running 255/35 x 19 and 285/35 x 19 with 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears. His car was setup for drifting..

    Hi Rish, Nismo maybe..
  23. Thanks guys made me smile.... I need it too. I've just spent 2hr 30mins stuck on the M1 at J15. Some lorry driver managed to mount the armco and the M1 had to be shut in both directions and I was stuck there. In the end they had to remove a section of the armco so we could all go back south to J14. I left central London at 5:30pm and got home at 1:30am....8 hours.... Whooops sorry off topic...don't ban me please...
