  3. Thought i would let you all know how i got on with Team AFM who just did my P3 service at 23,000 miles. dropped it off, got a little courtesy car for free to get to work, and left them too it at 8am. the service took 4 hours and cost a total £223.24. labour was £144 or £36 an hour (consumables from envy were another £95) i supplied all consumables except brake fluid which i asked them to do as they had a special price on millers. they used millers racing brake fluid 300 plus which they use in their touring cars. 3 x 500ml at £46.12 or £15.37 a bottle i supplied the nissan coolant and royal purple 5w30 oil. PE oil filter, project kics sump bolt etc (thanks to envy for that ) they've done a cracking job, brakes feel excellent, no fadding or anything, they have been very thourough and i'm chuffed with the service. rik's a top bloke and really helpful and always happy to answer questions and showed me around (went to have a look at the progress of my kit) they may not be the cheapest out there but they know there stuff and they know their cars. i trust them with my car which i don't do easily A1 top notch job, if your in the suffolk area and want them to do yours contact them on 01473 624890, real friendly and helpful bunch

  5. if he was a starwars film he'd be "return of the Spammer" if he was a weapon, he'd be a gaitling spammer, or an atomic spam bomb

  8. worked fine, lifts the front up nicely by 2-3 inches just get some one to hold them in place when you drive up them
  9. should we all get out are tackle and measure up at the same time
  10. at 22 you must have spent a fair bit of cash on insurance over the life of those cars. good taste by the way
  11. all our sellers are trusted, thats how they got on here. what would be more beneficial would be a members feedback, if you've bought from someone, you can add a comment to an exisiting member thread or start one if they don't exisit. but to be honest it would just be full of great guy etc, qucik delivery etc, and this isn't ebay. i think if there was a problem people just tend to post it, if its external to the site but Zed related, or go through the mods first if it is forum related.
  12. the pin are just for location, and so you can't put them on upside down
  13. its difficult i suppose, these days, they are either unpainted or just rusty
  14. i use a set of plastic caravan levelling ramps to drive onto to be able to get the car jack under to jack it up to put on axle stands. i hate drive on ramps i always worry about going to far and jamming them under the sills
  15. heat gun to get you started, use a knife to lift the edge enough to get your fingers under, and then prise with fingers, don't use the knife for the whol ejob, as you run a high risk of slipping and scratching paint work. and its held on with very strong adhesive foam tape and 2 pins that fit into locating holes.
  16. actually guys i don't think its going to be needed, just spoke to the big boss man from the touring car team and he said the flat spot was only on the lip, and if heated up should easily tap out, so should be fine for a refurb. fewwww (wipes brow) going to email wheel genie tonight and see what they say.
  17. in my old MR2 roadster i used to be able to tell if i had lost just 1 or 2 PSI as the difference in handling was so noticable.
  18. watching these on the ebay, have you had much interest?
  19. Hi guys, this is a provisional search, my car was in for a service today and the mechanic has pointed out a flat spot on the alloy rim where it has taken a knock, i knew about it when i bought it, and it has always niggled me, but i don't have any wheel judder and the tyre doesn't loose pressure so it doesn't have much effect. was speaking to the mechanic and he says its possible to repair it, but if it was him he'd replace it. so was wondering if any one had 1 front rays wheel to sell, and if so how much. going to cost it up and if it doesn't work out economical after a 4 wheel refurb i might go for those 18" rota grid Drift wheels. just got to work out if my vredesteins will stretch over them as they are a standard tyre setup
  20. get your geo checked out, its not expensive but might save you a few bob in the long run. this isn't a slanging match on your driving skills, and sorry if its comer across that way, but something isn't right either with the brakes, the setup or the driver or a combination of all 3, and it might just require a few minor tweeks in style, braking and setup to make your brakes last longer and to get maximium efficiency and capabilities out of them with out frying the setup. i'd be interested to see an incar video of you on the track,
