  1. bonjour good to see the car has gone to a good home.
  2. i think its going to be easier than going to stansted and then across
  3. good to see you signed up and welcome to the club, i'll try and get a meet together in november
  4. i use royal purple 5w30 but if your choices are mobil or silkolene then i'd probably go for the silkolene, just as its used alot by members on here. as for the oil filter the nsimo is expensive, and gaz reckoned that the PE one was better and cheaper in comparison.
  5. i don't mind an early start, makes for a fun adventure... redbull time
  6. forgot to add i use the Power enterprise one from envy, they also do the nismo oil filter or OEM stock check out there service section. if you don't buy from there it will at least give you an idea of what to look for,
  7. opie do a range of filters and oils as does envy and possibly zmanalex as well.
  8. the sessantas are summer tyres as well. i think your thinknig of some of the other vredestein tyres. i choose them for there grip levels and wet grip. falkens are good, but i've heard that near the limit they are less progressive. and the toyos i don't like the soft walls, they changed the design a while back and they just aren't as good as they used to be. they are less progressive and on the last car had not very good tyre wobble. was like driving on jelly. this place gives some of the most detailed reviews going. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/ and if you look at the magazine test reviews the sessantas are one of the tyres in the top 10. falkens and toyos don't even appear. flakens and toyos are midrange tyres, the sessantas are ultra high performance.
  9. welcome along to the club sign up here viewtopic.php?f=91&t=26916&start=45
  10. its meant to be a good car. don't know much about it though
  11. due to be wet all week, its damp in suffolk, but temperature wise i'm well happy, its getting into my favourite time of year. i don't like it when its over about 18 degrees C, the colder the better
  12. take the unit out your self its a piece of cake once you've done it once. and it won't cost you £40 to do it. there is a guide on the forum to removing the centre console, have a search and it should come up. novice would take about 45 min to take out max, done it a few times you could probably do it 20 min. if your nurrisha nd you've done it loads you can probably do it in 5 min
  13. thanks adrian, currently have invidia G200 true dual exaust, plan is to add in berk hi flows, and then new manifolds. just not sure which, am tempted by the price of the japspeed ones, but i'd want to heat wrap them before fitting. or the DC sports manifolds. what have you got going on to yours?
  14. the only adjustments my shop were originally doing was to cut and fit the washer jets for the bumper, i had planned the skirts and rear spats to be a straight forward fit, CS had told me the skirts need no alteration to fit. but i just don't have the time and al least if they only need a slight tweek then they can do it. i've fitted kits before and its not to bad. plus i know its a copy so i'm not expecting seamless perfect. but just a good finish. i'll post up once its all on. but i think the first pics will be modified live, if all goes to plan
  15. i know www.z-store.co.uk has a selection in there exhaust section. and envy ran a group buy of them a while back CS might adam at Z1 auto does but he is state side, but still does a good deal.
  16. well done boys, good work. i'm going to let the bodyshop do mine now. was going to do the sides, rear spats and headlights, but have decided i don't have the time at the weekend and i just want it done, so i'm going to get them to do the whole lot.
  17. what do you reckon is the biggest choke point on the exhaust system, the manifolds or the cats, or both. i'm planning long term to put some berk high flows on. but was tempted to do the manifolds at the same time.
  18. check the events section and add your name to the meets section, i'll let you know when we next have a meet and you can come meet us all; well the east anglian group of us anyway.
  19. with a tune up should you see a gain instead of a loss of torque?
  20. on the earlier versions traction control was an optional extra, if i had one i'd want it as standard as they are a bit twitchy in the wet. i suppose its where the extra weight of the zed is a bonus.
  21. people do run them on here, and with a proper uprev tune up/ecu reflash you should see some gains on them. but on a standard car you'll only really notice more noise. my personal choice would actually be hi flow cats, they don't need changing out every mot time, and sound better in my opinion. decats tend to sound very raspy at the top end of the rev range, which i personally think sounds very rice. where as a HFC will lower the tone slightly but still offer you the free flow you want, without the rasp.
  22. look round the tyre wall it will say what size they are. if they are standard 18's you'll be looking at 245/45/18 on the rear and 225/45/18 on the front. my advice, go to camskills and order the vredestein ultrac sessantas, they are an excellent tyre, and rate them better than the falkens or toyos and they are around the same price or were, as camskills did have a special offer on with them. the other 2 brands i mentioned are good, but i think the sessantas are better.
