  1. adrian flux were quite good for me as well
  2. did it on the mr2 i had, but that had a long throw. made it alot more work but was good. had to workk hard to put it in to some gears. personally i don't think the zed needs it. the gear change si already pretty slick already.
  3. i like the fact you buy it first then ask if its alright to be honest some fresh oil is better than no oil. put it in, then do your oil research and do an oil change at a later date. you want to get off the min line asap.
  4. i came over from MR2ROC, great cars and nice step up. 350 is a great car, but i'm biased. if you like the mr2 but want V6, speak to rogue, or (crap i can't remember the name , and its the preffered option) the other one. the other one installed a toyota V6 into the back of my mates roadster, and its stonking marvellous. but getting a 350 is bloody excellent as well.
  5. its hopefully going in on wednesday to have the spoiler fitted, and i'm going to get them to do the cats at the same time. just wondered if i should get any extras to help. but if you can reuse the gaskets and use some exhaust paste it should be fine. im guessing the garage should have some bolts in case of any of mine rounding out. i'll tell them about using lots of extension bars to reach etc.
  6. Quick question, have got hold of some second hand low milage high flow cat's, have changed them over on other cars, but was wondering beofre i dismantle them do i need anything extra. basically can i reuse whats there, or do i need any kind of new crush gaskets or bolts?
  7. I have already approached them bud.. We installed their network for them including their voice system (Ironic eh ) Thanks for the suggestion though. Neil you posted just be for me, sorry if you already tried to tap that
  8. no worries, no one likes to see anyone out of a job. heres the weblink to the BT research centre, alot more there than i realsied, huge range of telecom companies based out of there. have a look at the companies section, might lead to a section with job vacancies. i haven't looked as im doing other things, but might be food for thought. although the distance might be an issue. if you relocate am always happy to show you around. http://www.atadastral.co.uk/
  9. BT telecom Research centre is just round the corner from me at martlesham heath, they are often looking for people but sadly i have to foot in the door opportunity for you as i don't know anyone there.
  10. agreed captain, i bought mine outright cash in hand, never bought a car on finance in my life. especially when its a depreciating asset
  11. don't worry my views are nothing like that, and i don't think people under the age of 30 driving them lowers the value of the Zed. Welcome to the mad house, look forward to meeting at a meet sometime.
  12. very different, noot seen those arches before, some thing tells me the car needs a FOBW to finish the look off at the back
  13. wow this thread has come back from the grave. and just to add its not jealousy and i don't mind young people owning them. i'm only 27 so i'm no old man, and at least half the drivers on here are under 30. if you have the money to do it then fair play and welcome to the club. for me i suppose i have a weird sense of things. i like the idea of working up through the cars and building your driving experience. you don't join the army and go straight in as field marshall, you work your way up. if you jump to the top doesnt mean you cant do the job but you'd be lacking the experience to do the most at that posistion. and before you say it yes the zed is by no means anywhere near the top of the car ranks, but its no squaddie either.
  14. thanks bennett the pains had subsided as had the swelling and guarding on that side. and the pain was very localised to where the appendics is. it may well have been inflamed but not appendicitis. they mentioned it could be a grumbly apendics. bit like their grumbly owner.
  15. ultra sound didn't show anything up. their guess was apendicitis or gastro entoritis (not sure of spellings) they took so long to do the scan there wasn't much left to find. I'd rather it flair up again now and get it sorted than leave it and it happens over christmas.
  16. just had some spag bol, only a small portion whats worrying me slightly is that some of the twinges are coming back i'm hoping they'll just pass
  17. they've let me out to be an outpatient. i feel like crap, but at least i'm home. be back to work on thursday.
  18. Used to use hp and epson but have recently swapped to the new kodak printer and have been really impressed with it. Ink is dirt cheap for the manufacturers stuff and actually prints alot before needing changing and the speed is very good. As teachers me and my wife print alot so keeping costs down is important, but we still want to keep good quality for personal use. We've printed wedding photos on it and he quality has been excellent. We have the 4 in 1 unit with scanner copier printer. We don't have the one with the fax. Can't check numbers as still o hospital but definatly worth a look.
  19. They just free spin on the spot, should be no way to damage the stem.
  20. I've not bothered on this car with dust caps as I'd suffered thefts on the last 3, but I recently bought some richbrook anti theft ones. Didn't like the ones thatalan key into the stem, but found the ones with a free spinning collar the cap requires a special key to remove them. Should be enough to deter the opportunist.
