Thanks for that tip yeah it works like a milling piece so it cuts a little bit away on each sweep. unlike a drill bit that has a sharp cutting angle that pulls itself into the hole. what happens is that the hole ends up being drill bit shaped and not round and as the drill bit turns against this shape as the material is clamped it shatters the plastic. you can use normal drill bits but you have to use and extremely light touch if your cutting anywhere near the edge of the plastic. towards the middle its not so bad as the integrity of the plastic can withstand the process. the thicker the plastic the easier it is to drill.

I'm assuming that you have no idea just how much louder 20dB over the stock JDM box would actually be? To give you a hint, every 3dB is a DOUBLING of volume, so if the stock 'box was 90dB then 93dB would be twice as loud, and 96dB would be twice as loud as that and so on...! So what does that make my 122DB ...fighter jet loud ... That was before the s/c went on, its even louder now pardon? did someone say something, all i hear is a ringing sound in my ears. thats why ian types so much on here. to him the real world has no sound anymore.

its all local jargon, i first came across batchs and cobs in the midlands. stupid thing is a batch is a group of 6 and a cob is a male swan, so why the food related term i don't know. well actually i do. batches refer to the type of roll that comes in 6's and a cob is a shortening of the word cobble which the original roll looked like. so the term is not so much to do with where your from or who's right, but which bread you use

at work we use hot wire strip heaters to get perfect straight line bends. for gradual curves and complex shapes we use an oven and a mould. its a thermo forming plastic so is affected by hear, hence the ability to mould it. becuae of the cold air coming in there i don't think the engine heat will get it hot enough to re activate the plastic and deform it. what thickness are you useing? i'm guessing the generic term plexy your actually rtefering to perspex. i would say it does shatter/fracture quite easily. if your bolting it togehter don't put your pilot/bolt holes to close to the edge, and don't tighten it very hard as the edges just chip off. if gluing something like tensol cement will work well. as a secondary layer i'd actually line the inside of it with an insulator or heat relector to help keep the heat out as well. the more gaps it has the more heat will get in. i'd also silicone the edges to help seal it.

i happen to like pugs, but they haven't done anything of any significance in many years. the good old days of the 205 GTI and the 306 GTI6 are dead. but this is designed to reignite the french market because at the moment even the french have gone off peugeot. the exterior styling on it is very clever. as the roof has a double bubble effect to it. the biggest let down is the front grille. but an after market kit would soon fix that. as for the engine its the same unit found in the mini 1.6 and a 1.6 turbo. and will be the same unit going into the mini coupe when its released (much prefer the looks of that) i was hoping it to be so much more. but for what its designed for (which is not for people like us) i think it has potential. if you've seen teh future designs for the pug coupe the new i think its designated SR1 is very nice http://www.peugeot.com/en/news/2010/1/7 ... 4wod8iu6JA

i run mine with no cross over, its straight all the way from manifold to tip. i think because mine has a silencer in each pipe its not that loud. but i could always have them removed. but at the moment its a very drivable car, and the exhaust isn''t intrusive, and i get the loudness when i give it full beans. makes for pleasant long journeys.
