and i'll still come to meets, i mean we already have VXR's that turn up so whats a honda between friends
-
thats what i'm up to at the moment. lots to read, but not coming up on anything major at the moment.

the swap will put me where i want to be, and sadly i've always been one of those people that never go back to the same car twice. i've done my zed ownership and won't be having another one, but it doesn't mean i don't come back for a 370z at some point. i know i'm making the right decision as this morning i have woken up feeling like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. the S2000 will give me back soft top motoring, and a bit of simplicity of life. i know it will be different. but feel the change is needed. i love the zed and the community. and although the car will be going, i'm not planning on leaving the club.

would love to but can't now. any ways we still have that picture from when we all got together the other month. .... really appreciated everyones kind words and advice on here. its why i value the forum so much. its a great community and has great spirit. i won't be leaving for a long time yet. as i still have to beat sarnies post count.

the wider you go the more prone to tramlining and aqua planning you are. if the balance to the car is change the vehicle may have more grip but might flick from understeer to oversteer without warning and loose its progressive feel. acceleration will be slower as the frictional surface will be increased so will require more effort to pull away. they are definitely for show and not go.

am not planning on leaving every talks as if i'm about to die i shall be very much alive and kicking on here.
-
yeah should do. or might be able to order online. be surprised what is ebay these days

i quiet like the s2000's but will be taking a closer look. there are about 15 cars on auto trader for under 7k i'll play it by ear. if my car suddenly sells and i haven't chosen a replacement i'll borrow my mums car, or buy a banger for £200 until i find what i want. i'll end up with a higher mileage car, but with a well looked after honda engine, they tend to only just be broken in by then

ally is dead easy to fit togehter, jsut allow overlaps and then drill and pop rivet it. gives an very tidy finish. could also silicone on the inside to seal the joins completely if you wish. as for melting in the engine bay. it won't get hot enough to melt, but it may well distort the perspex
-
will do, am going to go find a few dealerships first and take a few for a test drive to re familiarise myself with the vehicles then start looking proerly on autotrader
-
using a 70mm hole saw will msot likely end in fail not an impossible task, but i'm unsure of how the persex will hold up to it. personally at work, i'd just laser cut it, but thats not really a tool most people have. i'd be more inclined to drill a few holes in it and then use a jig saw to cut a big hole, then file and wet and dry it to tidy it up. as for your dad, he is right. persoanlly i would have done it all in aluminium. but kudos to you for trying something new. it will look very smart at the shows, especially if you have a bling filter in it,

its official the biscuit zed sales thread has been posted as for the S2000, its compareable to the ze don the track, and i enjoyed the high revving MR2 driving style. like the MX5 its an excellent drivers car, but with a bit more balls. they are well built, reliable, in my budget and easy to maintain. it might not be your choice, but i gave them serious consideration when getting the zed.

This Car has been my pride and joy for over the last 18 months it has been well cared for and only receives the best treatment it has been serviced on time and at TEAM AFM where it recieved only the best, including royal purple oil. this car is not a heavy driver and i only cover about 9000 a year in it. drives beautifully. always gets looks and comments i'm open to negotioation on the price but i'm not desperate to sell and will wait for the right buyer. so feel free to put an offer in, but don't take the mick. this is a well known and well cared for ZED, it has never been crashed, its not been written off and all its history is very evident on this forum. any questions please don't hesitate to ask. and any club vultures reading this, a stripping list is part way down, but please hold off posting till i start the appropriate thread. and leave this just for people interested in the car. its change time and the itch won't be fixed with another zed
-
happily have one at mine, but it does mean that most will have to come south instead of me going north
-
i will have a set of HFC's coming up for grabs soon from kinetix
-
its happening but who said i'm leaving, my family is here. as are my mates. i'm still gonig to go to the same events and i'll still come and park with you lot. i'll still give info on here. part cash, part itch, i love the zed, but must admit the thought of a soft top again has put a smile on my face.

i definietly think the s2000 is the way to go. it gives me everything i want, keeps me in budget, is reliable, and i don't need to buy old. when it was mentioned it gave me the epiphany moment i had been missing. and it will stick my finances back to where they need to be. sorry to Tarmac for not saying anything, but i haven't really talked to anyone about it. defo up for a lads night. am going to strip mods off it. stick the car on here. but most likely it will get PX'd in.
-
mods will be going will be selling the wheels (for a swap of other rays) plus a little cash in hand double din headunit exhaust and CAI if someone wanted the body kit would sell that as well. might be tempted to strip to stock and PX it in i'm thinking S2000, its a honda and as long as its been serviced well then they are bullet proof. fun to drive and no need to mod. and it gives me back the soft top motoring that i miss

182 it is then your talk of the mr2's got me thinking and you can pick up a high milegae s2000 just in what i was looking at spending. you may die though... no different to my 2 ownership. lack of traction control is no biggie for me

save money you say? alfa's aren;t that bad. and the interiors are lush.
-
i own the zed out right, payed cash 2 years ago. have no finance outstanding. i don't want to loose my creature comforts, i like leather seats, i want air con, and i want a fun drive. selling the zed would clear those, and the fact i wouldn't be paying interest on said debt would put me straight so having another performance ca ris not an issue.

out of my original list the Rex was the only one that interested me, and i kinda new that they were going ot be a money pit. might have to look at some hot hatches. or one possible is the Alfa GTV always loved them cars are my hobby, i'm not going to buy a shed or not for very long at least. i am by no means broke just feel i need to down size. i've done MR2's before and don't tend to like to go backwards into cars i've previously had.
