  1. for me ITB's are more about the noise than the power.
  2. i once stared in a famous few movies, you might recognise me from this DVD cover
  3. works on over drive at the moment i will try again tonight but up to my eyeballs in marking. the weekend is the most likely for the demo one.
  4. if this ended up in the green room then i think the web link can come back. that way i can see what all the fuss was about
  5. What do I need to look out for? make sure it has a good service history, and signs of it being well looked after Do you reckon this is a good deal even if I do get a few quid off? its not bad considering how much car your getting for your money How much does it cost for a usual yearly service and how frequently do you suggest I have it done? service is every 9000 miles or 12 months; 3 different services p1,p2 and p3. going in intervals p1, p2, p1, p3, p1, p2 etc etc p3 is hte major one and your roughly looking at around £350 sometimes more, sometimes less depending on the garage. What kind of tyres are the best to get? forum favourites seem to be Falken 452's Toyo T1R's vredestein altrac sessantas. if your budget is bigger then michelin pilot sports. there are more. but these are the ones that crop up most. oh and welcome to the club p.s. thats my one big search help, the next one will say use the search button forum is stuffed with all the info you'll ever need just requires a bit of reading
  6. what was his issue with you having a zed?
  7. spill the beans! nothing major doing what most others have done. exhaust HFC Plenum spacer Throttle spacer CAI Abbey retune just found out my holiday dates, so will try and book in at the beginning of june.
  8. i think the trick is to keep the original throttle body still wired up but use a throttle cable, that way you can use the original ECU but won't see all the gains unless you use a stand alone. some on there seem to have done a jenvey setup for about $3500 but the tuning it all in seems to be the hard part. Do you have a link for that? yeah its all in those links to 350z tech that i put up first. leads to another thread and most info is in there. had a good read. the tommy setup is the nicest, but i wouldn't complain at the top secret one if it turned up on my doorstep for free
  9. learnt a long time ago that the zed is not NA mod friendly. i've set my bench mark and i've nearly reached it and thats where i'm stopping.
  10. And little gain on a normal NA Z car... yes but the noise is
  11. no worries. my guess is that there won't be anyone there. and it will all be shut up. but we live in hope

  13. right have now sent messages via facebook, ebay, and their website again i'm just trying to retrieve my original cover and i'll leave it at that. ian if you could pop in and they are able to find my engine cover i'm happy for you to collect it and i'll pay you to ship it back to me if needs be.
  14. i love the sound of ITB's but its not worth the cost for the minimal gains but for an idea of what our cars would sound like here are some of the vq35 engine fitted in another car with ITB's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REOVkFz5qHc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVu7rIhUBcY
  15. just looked for the recipt and found it but there is no date on it. car was written off on the 24th of Aug 2007 i purchased it myself on like the 1st or there abouts of september 2007 if it was a write off it would be unlikely to do all the repairs in 7 days. although not impossible
  16. or the tommy kaira ones http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/153-int ... odies.html droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll but apparently not available and the price of something like $30k

i know what husky is fitting and i think we'll all know when he's driving as the planet will spin quicker they'll have that much grip they'll be resurfacing the roads behind him
  19. thats a proper "oh sh1t" moment
  20. the ones you do up with a spanner still come off fairly easily. i'm using the richbrook anti theft ones. the have a rotating collar round them and a special tool to put them on with. if you try and take them off without the key the collar just free spins. anything can be stolen though, just depends how determined the thief is. but these should deter the majority of the opportunists
  21. i know the stuff your refering to i have it at home, used it on a few bits for other people looks good
  22. never been hit by a car, but plenty of students i teach i'd happily mow down if given the chance
  23. i'm going to be selling my carbon skinned B pillars soon as i want to match them in with other DI-noc stuff i have. these aren't stick on covers so won't fly off.
