always a good idea even when your new is go knock on some neighbours doors and ask for some recommendations. good way to meet people and word of mouth is generally good. as for the workmanship that sucks. i used to fit AC and that would be a sackable offense leaving crap work like that

any drilling is best done with a stepped drill bit.

at work we use hot wire strip heaters to get perfect straight line bends. for gradual curves and complex shapes we use an oven and a mould. its a thermo forming plastic so is affected by hear, hence the ability to mould it. becuae of the cold air coming in there i don't think the engine heat will get it hot enough to re activate the plastic and deform it. what thickness are you useing? i'm guessing the generic term plexy your actually rtefering to perspex. i would say it does shatter/fracture quite easily. if your bolting it togehter don't put your pilot/bolt holes to close to the edge, and don't tighten it very hard as the edges just chip off. if gluing something like tensol cement will work well. as a secondary layer i'd actually line the inside of it with an insulator or heat relector to help keep the heat out as well. the more gaps it has the more heat will get in. i'd also silicone the edges to help seal it.

i happen to like pugs, but they haven't done anything of any significance in many years. the good old days of the 205 GTI and the 306 GTI6 are dead. but this is designed to reignite the french market because at the moment even the french have gone off peugeot. the exterior styling on it is very clever. as the roof has a double bubble effect to it. the biggest let down is the front grille. but an after market kit would soon fix that. as for the engine its the same unit found in the mini 1.6 and a 1.6 turbo. and will be the same unit going into the mini coupe when its released (much prefer the looks of that) i was hoping it to be so much more. but for what its designed for (which is not for people like us) i think it has potential. if you've seen teh future designs for the pug coupe the new i think its designated SR1 is very nice http://www.peugeot.com/en/news/2010/1/7 ... 4wod8iu6JA

i run mine with no cross over, its straight all the way from manifold to tip. i think because mine has a silencer in each pipe its not that loud. but i could always have them removed. but at the moment its a very drivable car, and the exhaust isn''t intrusive, and i get the loudness when i give it full beans. makes for pleasant long journeys.

i run the older invidia true dual, the newer one runs an x pipe to help scavenge exhaust gas. not heard of an H pipe before so voted for X pipe.
