My girlfriend has just put her car up for sale, so i thought I'd offer it out to the z gang and see what you think.... she's found a 2008 mx 5 that shes driven and loves and wants to buy ready for the sunshine (I tried convincing her to get an s2000 ) So here you go... 2011 Vauxhall corsa 1.4 SE A/C 98 bhp 36 000 k... 1 previous owner... FSH.. brand new tyres all round 6 months ago... she's had it for the last 3 years and myself and her mechanic dad have maintained it and looked after it for her.   4. No for the 350 sorry, you didn't mention either, im sure they do one for the 370 though, I also think if seen tourqen have started selling summit braces for the 370
  5. Tarmac sports do an ultra racing one, I got one last month as it was cheaper than the Oem w brace and fits perfectly

Great short ring video mate, im going myself in June for the second time, but last year I went for the weekend and was overwhelmed with excitement as it was my 1st time and in awe of all the motors flying round I didn't get a decent fast lap, this time I'm going for 9 days, so will get a lot more laps in for one and I can still enjoy the tourists days aswell. I took your advice on the ad08r s aswell, iv had them on for over a month now, and I'm glad I got them, really really good tyres, havnt had a hoon in the wet as yet so can't comment there, but in the dry on my old tyres the back would kick out pretty easily and with the ad08r s they just grip no problem. Can I ask what kind of lap time you were getting at the ring??? Not so i can try and beat it because there's no chance I'll be going 100% when I'm there, but I'm interested in what the zed is capable of with a decent driver and setup.

  8. I'm changing fluids and spark plugs in the next week or 2, can people advise the best products for a 2004 DE What Spark plugs?? Diff fluid?? Clutch fluid?? Brake fluid that can handle a trackday or two without boiling as easy?? Engine oil?? I use Castrol edge fully synth 5w30... have seen people on here use motul 8000 or 6000 or somthing as it can handle higher temps?? I'll be using nissan gearbox oil and molyslip for the gearbox.   9. Thinking of tinting my rear and quarter Windows and possibly a little bit of tint on my drivers and pasenger Windows. Was thinking, tint that blocks 50% or 70% light on the rears, so quite dark and tint that blocks 10% or 15% light on the front so just a light smoke. What's the legal limits??? Cheers
  10. I too have the slightly low idle, whats the best way to clean the MAF once iv taken it out the intake??? Just squirt the hell out of it with brake cleaner??, or spray in a specific place?? Or avoid spraying somewhere?? Sorry to thread jump mate
  11. As youve all read many times no doubt... I have p0430 or 420.. cat below efficiency... A couple of mechanics suggested cataclean to see if it it clears the light even for a few days so i could at least have a good educated guess that my cat is dead.. Anyone used it?? Or reccomend it or avoid it??
  12. I haven't really thought about selling it to be honest... maybe £100 or possible swaps for your k2??? What's the k2 like for drone?? Must be better than my k1 though as the k2 actually has a back box lol. I dunno if you know what a k1 looks like but its only got 1 little back box about 1 foot long on each tip... in stead of 1 big back box with 2 tips The thing I like about the k1 is that is nice and burbly loud with the baffles in and REALLY burbly loud with crackles when you let off with the baffles out What HFC s have you got on??

Getting sick of the k1 now, also think one of my cats are dead ("catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2" engine light on after changing cat o2 sensor twice to be sure and no exhaust leaks) could it be the primary o2 sensor that needs changing possibly ??? So if I'm going to have to buy a cat I may aswell buy a hfc, and if I have to buy 1 hfc I may aswel buy 2 lol So my second question is...if I do get HFC s what exhaust system would give ABSOLUTLY no tinny rasp ??? I love the deep burble of the k1 but hate the 2k rev drone. I was thinking scorpion maybe as I heard a few revs of one at japfest, but think It was standard catted. Iv watched every exhaust video going but can't really tell much difference or the loudness. I'm after no rasp and very little low revs drone.. got a budget of around £500 for the cat back/y pipe back exhaust. (I would take a second hand one also, so if you've got an exhaust collecting dust let me know a price ) Please point me in the right direction guys Cheers Rob

  15. He does this work?? Do you need to Decat the original cats then just connect this y pipe and hfc to the decats??? then get a y pipe back exhaust ?? I'm confused lol
  16. After japfest I am now after a nismo v1 spoiler... I'd like a good fitting one for as cheap as possible, im intending on buying and fitting myself then getting it sprayed on the car possibly to try and get a good colour match. I don't mind sanding the spoiler down to fit nicly, but dont want to be using filler all over the place. Any help or wise words are appreciated, also if anyone is selling one second hand please let me know Cheers guys

Then some Americans and a Russian haha, again watch with a hand full of salt lol. Tj hunt...(seriously cool 350z) Even shanks Taylor Ray... (currently modifying a "driftvette" that's smart) Misha chaurdin... (a very well known person around the nurburgring and is building a car hire company and 8 room hotel called apex, he's worth a watch, he shows some pretty cool stuff)
  18. Again really good day, My 1st time meeting some of the zed gang, was a good convoy down with about 8 Zeds, tracked the zed for the 1st time aswell... was so good I went out for a second session . I now need some alloys and a Nismo v1 spoiler though...
  19. I'm going to buy a helmet today for my tracktime and odd trackdays.... Does anyone know for sure if you can wear an open faced helmet on any track or trackday ?? Do some tracks say you have to have a full face one etc??

Defiantly s2000 no other choice... they're appreciating, so youl definatly get your money back... there reliable, so youl never need to fix it... look stunning roof down... ecoish, if you stay out of vtech... and an absolute dream to drive through the twistes... uncommon, hardly ever see one on the road. When I had one I would literally get 2 or 3 comments a week off random people when I pulled up at petrol stations and stuff. I had one last year for a year then sold it for £500 less than i paid for it after putting 15k miles on it (was at 117k when I sold it), the only reason I sold it was because it was my daily and I wanted abit more room, and a v6, so i got the zed. If its just your weekend car though its perfect. It's one of the only cars I've owned where after selling it i was propper propper gutted, and still am, but i know one thing for sure.... I'm definatly buying another one in a yearish for a weekend car like yourself. Other than that I'd go boxster, but only because its a Porsche, but one of the uglier ones in my opinion (the rear just doesn't look right), the s2000 is just as fast and more reliable. You could say its midish sort of engined because IT IS behind the front axle, so "technically" it is mid engined, with a perfect 50/50 weight distribution. (I am kind of biased though... can you tell I like them?? lol) Also... famous for almost 10 years for most bhp per litre of n/a engine displacement... and only just beaton by the rarri 458. That's some accomplishment isn't it?

  22. Iv never been to japfest before.... so does everyone have to be in and parked up by 8 30?? No later??? So it's best to be at silverstone for 7 am??? Or 6 am and avoid some queues??? And lastly what would happen if... by some sort of horrible disaster.... I was to.... sleep in?? Lol Or get cought up in queues and not arrive till 9 or even 10??? Would they not let me park up in the stand??? Or use my tracktime? Cheers guys
  23. Iv got a 2004 DE with 98k... im thinking of doing this aswell. iv got a panel filter and k1 exhaust already, I was thinking of getting a plenum spacer and remapping at that. I would like to get some HFC s but it will make my exhaust a lot louder won't it??? Which I don't really want because I won't pass trackday Sound testing then. Or do the resonated ones not increase the volume?? But then without HFC s I won't really get any gains, other than throttle response.
