  1. I'm just abit nervous my car will feel like its on ice when I get my new tyres on.. I changed my tyres on my s2000 after I bought it the week before I went to nurburgring last year, when I left the tyre shop they said I could do with an adjustment and driving it felt like it was on ice obviously only the inner corners were in contact with the road, luckily they got It done two days later ready for my ring trip 3 days after that... nothing like last minute lol. So im getting new tyres on the z mid april before japfest, I don't want to have the same last minute worry with poor grip from my new ad08r s especially as iv got track time booked there aswell. Would this be everything I need for the rear??? 2 arms 2 toe bolts https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/350z/suspension/arms-links/761-350z-eibach-rear-camber-arms-572050k.html
  2. So your saying with my 30mm drop I'll need adjustable camber arms on the rear? I want as close to standard geo setup as possible. will I need front adjustable arms aswel???? also do i really need adjustable toe bolts?? I thought it was just camber that was affected when lowering Cheers guys
  3. Someone needs to take the lead and organise lol, maybe meet up at the next Trafford centre meet that tt350 mentioned. Bring the pooch with you, you get the company and don't have to buy it a ticket lol. Iv been watching some videos of last year's and definatly wouldn't want to miss it, iv never been before so went all out and got track time and 2 nights in the Hilton although the hilton was only £10 a night dearer than the the local travel lodges.
  4. Hi guys, im kind of new to owning a z, im learning things about my own car every week lol, here's what I know.... I recently noticed I have some eibech lowering springs on, im guessing they are the 30mm drop ones, I also have 20 25 spacers with stock rays, I can get my fingers up to my knuckles between the tyre and the wheel well. To give an idea of how low i am. What I want to know lol .... I'm about to change all 4 tyres and was going to get a four wheel alignment done at the same time, as I think I can see some camber on my rears. The question is... do i need some adjustable camber arms front or rear?? I was routing through videos this morning and this forum and by coincidence came across a thread with someone lowering their car and people said they need rear camber arms because there's not much play in stock ones so it got me thinking, do i need some wIth 30mm drop?? Does anyone have any maybe?? Does anyone know of any budget ones that are just straight swap so i can change myself?? Thanks for any advice chaps
  5. Midmonster and fire eyes you wana get yourself on list for japfest, the the more the merrier, there's just over a month left, Follow the links on the first page \/ http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/113426-japfest-sunday-30th-april-2017-silverstone/ I also do Jack all on the weekend's, my mates are not into cars like I am so i never end up going to any meets because I dont fancy turning up and driving hours away on my own lol, looks like I need new friends lol the main thing I do on a weekend is wash my beastie, Sunday is bath day for her lol If you all decide to meet up somewhere I'll tag along anyway, as long as its not massively far away, I'd travel like 10 mins.... haha within an hourish travel id tag along, im from clitheroe so not to far away from Manchester or Blackpool etc
  6. Same here, I paid online, got a confirmation and it said I'd receive the e tickets closer to the date,... I'm getting worried now
  7. Has anyone received their tickets yet by e-mail?? I don't want to wait till the last week to find out there is a problem lol
  8. I'm gunna start doing this, reset the trip do 200 miles so should be around £40 to fill and around half a tank on the gauge and weel see what happens, Thanks again
  9. Cheers guys, if just found someone's very detailed walkthrough guide with pics off this forum, might attempt it in the near future. So roughly how many miles should i get off a full tank? When the petrol station pump clicks off. I know its hard to say, but i don't do any motorway driving, its all small town/large village driving, im going to eco drive this full tank of fuel and see how Manny miles i get till near empty, and probably keep going past if say I'm getting 200 full to empty but should be getting 300.
  10. My fuel gauge was just under the last quarter, DTE said 55 miles, I filled till the fuel pump clicked and there was only 42 litres on the pump... I thought Zeds had 80 litres capacity??? Let's say I could get another 5 litres in if I pulled the nozil out a bit, let's also say there were 10 to 15 litres still in there before I filled up, where's the other 20 litres??? My mpg has been saying 26.4 now for at least week an iv been doing a little bit of fast driving, and the rest all 30 to 40 mph limits through large villages with a little bit of traffic, My mpg doesn't seem to be changing with the way I'm driving at the time over the space of a few miles I'm confused guys
  11. I want this man to teach me, seems like a right laugh... 350z from about 50seconds in Has anyone been to prodrift academy before??
  12. Cheers mate, thanks for the quick reply, I'll order them now, should they have the same part number as the ones on my car just to double check before I fit them??
  13. I got home today checked my oil and stuff and noticed my a/c belt is now only half the width it should be, must have lost it somewhere this week, didn't hear any funny noises though so I'm stumped as to when it went because it was on last week lol Anyway, im after an a/c belt and thought i may as well change the other belt as it has to come off, can anyone direct me as to what specific belts to buy please? 2004 DE Iv seen cougar store sell Oem nissan belts for £50 or "gates" nissan belts for £30 Also has anyone fitted one of these, instead of nissans £250 narner arm?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Nissan-350Z-350-Z-Front-suspension-lower-rear-track-control-wishbone-arm-LH-/252154971984?hash=item3ab59b8750:g:SF8AAOSwUuFWuJlp Thanks for the help guys
  14. Iv just got back now after 2 hours drive home, thought I'd check to see if any of you had posted pics lol I was in the only dirty car, silver 350 with the license plate stuck to one side of the bumper, the silver supercharged zed sounded sweet, and Ernies Orange zed is a really nice colour but i think I want lambo doors now lol also...who invited the mustang with the minigun on the bonnet to a jap car meet... was a good night though
  15. You need a European travel pack you can get one on the internet I paid about 20quid and need all these things for driving in Europe... warning triangle, breathaliser, spare bulbs, first aid, hi viz, headlight stickers, you need to take a copy of v5 I think, I went last year in my s2000 on eurotunnel, I paid for my laps at a desk at the entrance, 27euros a lap or 4 for 100, or 10 for 250 I think etc I went in August there was nothing said about an app, I got road side care that meant they would bring my car home if anything unfixable at the roadside was to happen, think I paid 80 quid for that, roadside assistance means they will try to repair your car at the side of the road, or tow your a maximum distance to you hotel or nearest garage within 100miles say, Not sure about what oil or pads to use but i will be going again in August so i will be keeping an eye on your thread to find out what to change on mine lol but i would think race oil, brake fluid and pads would be good, id also take a few litres of spare oil just in case, when your there the petrol stations round the ring entrance sell 98 and 105 octane race fuel I used to 105 octane fuel in my s2000 wether it made any difference I don't know, but i bet it would in the 350 beast
  16. Is the pedal dance the same as clearing the code with an obd2 reader?? Or does the pedal dance reset things that clearing the code on a reader wouldn't do??
  17. There are e36 available, but mostly 316s, 318s, we want abit more power, we were specifically after an e36 325i for around a grandish, there are some fo sale but they want 2 or more gs. so i think we decided e46, 330 or 325, have seen a few for around a grand even a couple of touring estates that could be fun lol our mind set is a grandish for the car, and a few hundred on cheap suspension and radiator and fluid changes, and as long as the engine survives at least 5 to 10 drift days (which I would think it could quite easily do) before setting on fire or blowing up we will have had a laugh and learnt some skills with the possibility of maybe putting abit more money into another car after as we will be a lot more confident and experienced in the drift game
  18. Haha and here was me thinking you were joking, I appreciate the recommendation but although maybe a reliable and driftable car I don't want to be laughed at when I turn up to the track lol people will be thinking I borrowed my grandads ride for drifting. I were thinking of suggestions with at least a little bit more street cred
  19. After doing a lot of internet shopping, were really struggling to find an e36 325i with the m50 beast engine. so we're now thinking e46 325i but after reading various bits on the internet they don't seem as engine reliable, can you wise people inform me of anything you know about e46 s? Which are the best years to buy for instance and any faults you may know of? Thanks for all your input already you guys are getting me excited lol
  20. What kind of price is he after? And mileage? Whilst in my googling search, I found a few people saying on drift forums and bmw forums that e36 s are abit more reliable than e46 s. Hence why we were thinking e36. Also we will be having to drive it to and from the track, around 35mins away, that's why were after a reliable beast in a way We were thinking to start by stripping it, Full fluid change, welding diff, changing steering wheel to start with and go from there. Any recommendation on radiator to upgrade to? Just any decent aftermarket one?
  21. Me and a mate have decided to get a drift car going. Both of us are capable of powersiding competently we just want to take it to the next level on a track and learn some real skills, After speaking to people and googling we've decided a 325i E36 is a decent budget drift car to start with for abit of fun for the year. I thought I'd ask if anyone on here has had any experience with an E36, for common problems and stuff, what to look for when buying etc. I'm still putting in the hours googling and rummaging threw the bmw forums for these things so I'm not just asking and being lazy about it lol. None of us have owned a bmw before so any advice is good advice in my eyes. maybe another budget alternative that you know of?? Budget at around £1500 Cheers
  22. could someone give me a few names of garages they use please, im after abit of work done on my z Change camber arm, Full fluid change, MOT, And a bit of a health check for peace of mind for the year My mechanic I've used for years has just retired, so I'll no longer be able to get £25 per hour foreigner rates anymore (gutted) I'd like someone who has maybe worked on a few Zeds before, or who gets a good rep off yourselves, but not necessarily a performance garage as I don't want extortionate hourly Labour prices. Somewhere around Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool maybe, im from clitheroe to give you an indication of my location. I know TDI north is closeish to me and am considering them but again dont want massive hourly rates for things I usually do myself, but as this is a new car to me I'd like someone who has a decent knowledge of cars to just cast their ears and eyes over the car to let me know of any potential work that may need doing in the future. Cheers guys
