I bought my car with a k1 on with no baffles, so i know what you mean lol im going to buy an Oem but thought a k2 might pass though so could get a k2 instead, iv read people say k1 with baffles its 103 db but I don't know how accurate they were with the reading, Just wanted to see if anyone else has used a k2 on trackdays otherwise it's Oem

Im going to do a few trackdays next year has anyone used a k1 or k2 in the sound testing at trackdays and what dbs are they?

The smaller lower belt at the front of the engine bay has got about 4 small cracks across the width of the belt. What does this belt run?

Every now and again after my engine has warmed up after a drive an I stop still I can hear a slight squeak like a bar ring maybe or something coming from the engine. I lifted up the bonnet and it sounded like it was coming from the Farr left wheel belt guide thing. It started about a month ago and iv heard it maybe 4 times. Any ideas?

I defiantly don't want anything even slightly tinny/raspy, the k1 has a proper deep rumble and that's what I want, just quiet enough to use on trackday and the ring.

Iv got k1 no bungs, really loud, was on when I bought it, I want a quieter 1, Willing to go Oem, but fancy something a bit noisier-cheap-and able to be used on trackdays

Is there a big noise difference between k1and k2? also do you know if k2 can be used on trackdays? below 105 decibels

Iv got a k1 that was on the car when I bought it, was wondering if an Oem back box or k2 would fit straight onto the midpipe as it looks like its a similar shape, I need rid of this noisy beast as I will be doing a couple of track days and the ring next year, and its along way to go to be turned away for being too noisy lol Thanks for any help and advice

Not sure if my car has lowering spring's, could someone measure the gap between the rubber and arch front and rear and let me know please Cheers

It's the only mod, its not decatted, Iv tried to buy bungs for it but i could only find universal bungs on ebay non that are actually off a k1, im going to buy a standard exhaust soon anyway because I'll be going to the famous green hell again and don't fancy driving all the way to Germany to get turned down at the gate lol plus id have to shoot myself after putting up with the drone for 600 mlies of motorway there and back. I were thinking of croft oulton park and blyton park, been to blyton a few times in my s2k, its good cos there's no walls lol so can easily test the limits of grip without endangering the public or mother nature lol

Do you know what stock exhaust db is

I didnt think so, i downloaded a db metre app i know it wouldnt be spot on but just to gst a rough idea and at idle it was 84 db lol,

I've got a k1 fitted with no baffles, was like that when I bought the car, I diddnt realise it was the cheapest exhaust going when I bought the car lol, was wondering if anyone knows if it will pass decibel test on track days. I think its usually about 95 to 105 dbs

Cheers guys all swapped over, no more jump starting every morning lol, i hooked another battery up to the leads whilst changing so I didn't actually loose any power, only because I got the car with a clarion Bluetooth CD player and no instructions or booklet and diddnt no if I'd needa radio code for it, I went for a yuassa battery for £60 from BBC super factors, I wanted a bosch s4 and found 1 one on the net for £65 delivered from Euro car parts, so I rung them up to see if they had any in the shop so I could pick it up on that day and they said yea we have them in stock.... £130 at least that was including vat lol

I need to change my battery, iv been jump starting the last few mornings due to the cold, I was wondering if Ill need any codes for the imbobiliser or if I'll need to recode my key or anything when I disconnect the battery? Also iv got a spare "motorparts" battery from Halford in my garage that I used to use for my track car, I'm thinking of putting in until I get a bosch s4 at the weekend it's says on the battery "58ah 520a sae" would this be OK thanks for any help or advice guys
