  1. I bought a CTEK MTS 5.0 the other week, great bit of kit. £59 on Amazon
  2. Survived court then by the sounds of it
  3. 1.nissanman312 2. GreenLandy 3. 4. 5.
  4. I've got an OEM rear box for sale if needed.
  5. Because it'll be four times the price of the equivalent car, you'll have to double it in price for a fuel tank worth having and it will have 'amazing new' technology and features that everyone else had 5 years ago?
  6. As said, Bilt Hamber is good, as is Dinitrol. NEVER ever ever use hammerite. Unless you like repainting things every few weeks! It peels off in sheets.
  7. 2 compression arm (banana arm) bushes, unused, one still in original Nissan packaging. £45 delivered SOLD 2 compression road cones, again still in Nissan packaging. SOLD 350z engine cover - been painted purple and the badges then painted (not amazingly I must say) white. In good condition. £50 £30 collected, £35 delivered Nissan gearbox oil and molyslip - bought from CMS and never used. SOLD OEM backbox - no idea of mileage but in good working condition. SOLD Fuel cap - cable thing is snapped, but otherwise fine. £7 delivered Would be willing to drop off items/meet halfway if you're not too far from Basingstoke.
  8. That sounds very expensive. A colleague used chips away as he knew the bloke who did the franchise (this was crowthorne, not sure where he was based mind). He repainted a major bumper scuff (much worse than yours) for about £120 I think. I inspected it afterwards and you couldn't see the slightest hint it had been done
  9. I'm in Basingstoke if you're coming back that way.
  10. I've got Hawk and T3 - don't think you'll regret them
  11. An FAQ for the folding mirror mod? PO fitted them to the z but they don't stay folded when the ignition is turned off (until you lock it anyway)
  12. I'd always do the bushes first - a knowledgeable garage can do the whole job in 45 mins, so labour isn't really an issue
  13. I got LUK and Exedy from carparts4less on ebay - it's a sister company of eurocarparts and their ebay store is slightly cheaper. Think both parts were about £580
  14. Oh yes, my mistake. Until in 2 years time when deity Musk announces the tesla version for his followers anyway
  15. Having read through this, as you have said, you're not an accountant, so please stop spouting nonsense on something you admit you don't know much about. Yes evs are currently completely offset against taxable profits, but you'd be a fool putting a lambo in as a company car. You'd extract the money to pay for it in other ways. And no ni is not 10%. At the levels you were stating it is 2%. Regarding the congested service stations, why would they not just install a charger in front of the standard parking spaces? Or even use wireless charging, which I reckon is the route they'd go down. Just have charging pads under the spaces.
  16. Did it myself, but a garage near me has got the job down to 40 minutes (not including tracking). So I'd guess that's £30-40 labour max. Obviously if you take it to a monkey garage like kwik fit they'll probably take all day and break half the car whilst they're there. Proper alignment seems to be about £80
  17. I've got this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JA0LNQQ?keywords=obdII&qid=1441965275&ref_=sr_1_8&sr=8-8 Doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but does enough to be very useful.
  18. Accounting.... $400m won't be a cost in one year, it will be spread over the life of the plane - say 10 years. Plus they're probably leased or HP'd anyway
  19. Mann are usually amongst the best filters around and can be obtained from ECP. Bosch are also well regarded, although they don't actually make them themselves anymore which I find a little offputting. Complete waste of money buying Nissan - usually just a rebranded UFI one i think .
  20. Will this apply to all cars or just new cars? Pete Just new cars granted, but it is a start
  21. I got a £15 ish one from Amazon, tells you all the codes etc, can clear them too, been fine for me.
  22. I agree with the idea that tax should be at source (ie at the pumps) - is that not, in effect, what the chancellor announced in the last budget though? We'll have a flat rate of £140 (a bit more if it's an expensive car) and then everything else is taxed within fuel use.
  23. You drive a high powered, highly polluting car - if you can't afford it, get a micra.
