  1. just a thought, JAPDAY is on at Castle Coombe next Saturday which is near you. Loads of trade stands. Worth a visit? Im going to do the very same thing...to look at seats.
  2. Can anyone on here do this?? ................. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/custom-NISSAN-350z-INFINITI-FX35-FX45-FX-S50-STEERING-WHEEL-Flat-Thumbs-volante-/252349494303?hash=item3ac133b41f:g:rVwAAOSwGYVXDRIl It sais its from the UK but believe its someone in Poland that actually does the work. Its based on an exchange. Hand yours over, and get this in return. Be nice if someone on here can achieve this with the flat bottom but also I feel £258 is too expensive. Whats ya thoughts guys. Yei or Nei.
  3. Yep. Havnt the foggiest what they are talking about. lol
  4. Are you lot speaking English??? lol Must be my age.
  5. well plenty to go on here. Gonna go shoppin on tinternet and get me some fine goodies to try. Will post pics when sorted. Ill be back.
  6. Appologies if its been asked before, but how can I obtain that really wet look that feature so much on cars that have been featured in mags and e-media and the such. Is it down to photoshoping or are there product out there can obtain the wet gloss look. Sorry Im a complete noob when it comes to detailing. I normally pressure wash the car down, then snow foam, then hose off, wash with Autoglym using two buckets method, hose off, dry with usually two large micro cloths, apply Autoglym Super Resin polish and polish off, then finally use Poorboys Natty Hard wax to finish. Please point me in the right direction with products. I do not want to create more work than what i do now as this takes about 1hr to 1.5hr, which in my life is the max I can spend on a sunday morning. Help me get that look :-( cheers ZZZeb.
  7. If you need risk assesments and method statements done, I can do that. Just bare in mind next time if they ask. The world has gone H AND S potty if you ask me.
  8. so what happens after 3-5 years when you peel it off?? Will it take the paint off?? will the section underneath be like new whilst the rest of the car may have swirl marks, weather fading etc etc?? I suppose what im asking is that after you remove the film, is there a difference in apperance to the paint?
  9. In ref to Ekona, doesnt the finance company own the car until you have paid 3/4 of it? and if sold before that sum, they have every right to take the car back if not settled?
  10. Welcome. Good to see another Roadster on the boards

    Grey hood

Thats my car IN gm AND GREY HOOD and yes Ray is still doing them. The grey does not stretch as much as black as its a little bit different in the weave (not that you can see ofcourse) but given time and weather is will sit nice at the back in the end after a month or so. Expect to pay between £260 and £290 for a new roof which includes fitting. He will take approx 5 hrs to do it. There is no waiting room as its done in a back garrage on a mid terrace house. Dont let this put you off. He's been making hoods for 30 plus years. Drop the car off at 8.30 am, catch a taxi into Swansea town (approx 1 mile away) spend the day there, taxi back and collect your car. I live near him and know him quite well. Hope this helps Nigel. EDIT - WHAT EVER YOU DO, CHANGE THE ELASTICS WHILE THE ROOF IS OFF. A MUST.
  13. someone should buy the rear bumper, graft it onto a 350 one and create a mould from it. I know alot of 350 owners like this rear end. Something for RT to do perhapse?
  14. ye crazy. Coz I now alot about GRP there is probably about £80 quids worth of materials in it. The hefty cost is because of the mould making. If only I had the guts to start something off. No decent bonnets available in uk, no decent vented or cut-back wings available in the uk, no fender flares available in the uk. Just those three items, you'd have your demand easily.
  15. if you can wait till the 25th (payday) (next monday) Ill give you £100? and will arrange collection via courier
  16. just had a quote from Brian (Stardast's rep in Japan) He wanted 2600 us dollars for a set of 4 Liberty Walk / Stardast style fender extensions. If I knew there would be interest in these, I would buy them, make moulds and copy them. But the Stardast Kit is a bit marmite if you know what I mean. I myself like it. Again similar to what Lib Walk and Rocket Bunny are doing.
  17. some really nice cars there.
  18. My mate took his GTR to Litchfield. Sly managed to get 930 bhp with the budget my mate had. It was solid and was a daily drive for two years. He then sold it for an R8 and was the worse thing he ever done he said. Just like a TT with some frills. lol
  19. Kinda reminds me of the days when you could buy Fanny Batter.
  20. ok, Im loving this project but its totally out of my depth with all that techi stuff. Why is this better than fitting a straight forward Androd tablet? What can this do that say a Samsung 10" tab cant? Just interested thats all, not being picky.
  21. most wheels and bosses are interchangeable these days. So your deffo not tied up to what ever steering wheel is reccommended for a certain boss.
  22. yep agreed. If its GRP then tiger seal on and use plenty of self tappers, then next day remove the screws, fill in with upol easy1 or similar filler, then paint over. If its carbon fibre then dont drill where it can bee seen. Just bond it on and only screw underneath where they wont be seen. Its really easy that one you have. Duck tape it if you want
  23. i rim waxed mine the day I put em on. Great stuff and protects against the elements to no end.
