  1. Ello n welkom Sounds like a keeper, stick around
  2. I have one, given me by a forum member - absolutely love it
  3. Box fresh this one 👍
  4. Another false claim, you've not owned a Cayman 987, the vehicle in question otherwise it's pointless information, nor a 350z coupe (107.5kg less than the Roadster) again the vehicle in question. Was that Tesco or BP fuel? as the mpg looks comparable.
  5. In the ability to count? great rebuttal as per
  6. I would disagree with that statement. Porsche service menu pricing is more than Nissan. A Porsche Indie fix rate servicing will be more than say Tarmacsportz or Horsham see below. Note the 20k device with RPM which then requires the additional brake fluid change £65+vat which HDev includes. HDev prices are inclusive of VAT, RPM's aren't. Effectively a 987 P1 service is 115% more expensive and a P2 55% more expensive. Also a 350z resale prices isn't hurt not one iota by having home servicing in the service book. A Porsche's value is aided by having full dealer or indie service history. So if the owner (or a pal) are capable of changing the oil, the filters (documented) then even pay for a brake fluid change every other MOT you will save on garage labour rate year in year out for routine servicing. That's just the basic unavoidable P1/P2 costs
  7. Entry level 718 money hatches, but which is best 🤷🏽‍♂️
  8. Not good at all pal and you'd never know until you next go to open the boot 😔
  9. After driving one and have a good nose round, only you can't make that decision. I think a 350z is possibly a better prospect of you wish to modify, ie wheels, suspension, interior engine, exhaust, subtle body additions as there's way more options due to aftermarket support. To keep and leave fairly stock a Z34 Nismo would be a better choice. I find with a Nismo the more you do to them, makes them almost stop being a Nismo as they certainly won't look like one if you swap out even just wheels and mess with the body. If you're not concerned with keeping a Nismo looking like a factory Nismo, you might as well saved yourself the 8k over a GT and spend it on wheels, exhaust, suspension, tuning and seats resulting in a quicker and better handling car.
  10. JAE, now that's a blast from the past. Waking up after a session with your mates, in a field of dew surrounded by Japanese cars with folks cleaning their cars early before the Sun got too warm.
  11. Said to be handy to hustle about, evidently so and of which you'd know first hand.
  12. You did well with that temp fix pal, quick thinking too. Hopefully get it sorted before long. Only two reason a person would do that, jealously or cognitive impairment.
  13. I bet that is loud!! You did well as I always thought the Z34 y pipe was a tad longer than the Z33 offering. Right underneath you bum where you use to have a massive silencer, it's now a full merge!!
  14. Well just goes to show really. The Z when driven properly, is a very capable car on track. Exactly, those pair are hardcore hatches with track work in mind too. In their class nothing German gets near them on the twisty stuff.
  15. Prove it, RCZ, S2000, RX8 6sp and 3.2 TT - as it was mentioned......
  16. Maybe if night and day last for all of blink of an eye.
  17. You've done it again, even after editing your own post. The 986 and a 987 are different cars. The 986 had its own facelift around 2002. The 987 Cayman is a first gen Cayman not facelifted 986 Boxster with a roof. What's even worst/sad, is you said it was a error ok a typo in essence, but then you went and dug a new hole and stepped right in.
  18. You're right, it's not dishonesty it's a clear lack of basic understanding. How can one begin to compare a 350z to a 987 Cayman if you don't actually know what a 987 Cayman is. That was an absolute clanger to say it's a 986 with a tin top. It's like saying a VW Golf Mk7 is an Eos with a hatch. For this particular discussion all his credibility went out the window with that one statement, as it's clear he doesn't know what he's actually going on about.
  19. I paused there after reading his comment and didn't want to risk another dishonest discussion
  20. Yes another fantastic little car and said to be the best in class for its price point ☺️
  21. Sorry to hear that, if the mirror cap is ok the below should be ok https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255103817031?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=L5hx_R0tR92&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=UVSJOLRJSwe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  22. Just this moment gone to check 987 anything less than 100,000 on the clock all well above a good 350z for similar condition/mileage. Again the 986 was the rival to a 350z, not a 987 👍 "German cars always been the fastest" - false "Best on track" - false "987 had for the costs of a good 350z" - you guessed it I bet you can't lie straight in bed 🤣
  23. Exactly, you watch at Santa Pod and I'd a tasty looking GTi-R was on the line, you'd a brave man to bet against it. Fensport was so desperate to get his hands on the new shape Corolla he imported a 5 door as couldn't wait for the UK 3dr to be released - absolute monster of a thing that was too. You're a bit late, as I had wrote about price point form the get go. With regards to your comment re the RS3 and Golf R, yes in a straight line however the lesser powered French and Jap stuff monster them both round a track with ease. 981 S again talking a 50k+ car new, brilliant car however possibly a tad disingenuous to begin to compare against a 2009 27k when new car directly 🤷🏽‍♂️
  24. Happy Birthday 350z 🎂 🎉
  25. Yes those were the days and the heavyweights for years and years were the JAP stuff in all aspects. Hugely modified or not the German stuff was nowhere to be seen. Since the DCT/DSG era yeah for sure German 2 pedal clone boxes are the quickest thing on the road. But holy hell are they boring as dish wash, evidently speed isn't the measure of bestness otherwise EV would be king but they aren't and never will be as they have no passion much like most of the German clone boxes imo. Again the 987 S is a fantastic car for its 44k new prices value when it came out, the Z34 for 27k again is a fantastic car for its price point - pretty sure we're all in agreement with that.
