Hansburger: Solar Orange 350Z VQ37HR
davey_83 replied to Hansburger's topic in Member Build Projects
It's crazy as that's probably knocking on for 12ft of exhaust system. Id say this will be LOUD! Gorgeous looking headers and should be easier to fit than equal length ones. I would look to maybe heat wrap the y pipe to help keep the heat in and away from the transmission tunnel. Added bonus of speeding up the exhaust gases as she's a thick one!! -
No matey, different classes of tyre. It's like the MPS3 v the MPSS. The MPS4S is the best road tyre currently the Michelin do. The MPS5 continues on from the 4, more comfort bias than the 4S which replaced the MPSS.

Going from a 350z to a 370z - anyone done it?

Probably worth going for a test drive in one to get a feel for her. -
Same, always show the wet weather respect. One could always get caught out, we do live in the UK after all. Yeah seems Continental are clearing out the divisions, we have Contis on all our cars. I do actually hope the MPS5S (when released) can take it to the CSC7

Because all the cars in ones household might not use UHP rubber

Ello n welkom, looks a lovely example. Spacers are a nice touch, however then you may think about lowering the ride height a tad as the arch gap will become even more apparent. -

+1 to the above. Every so often as I'm sure you do, a good spirited drive will help the engine also. -

Would be less harsh with the valves closed on cold start -
Truly amazing work there and she looks clean and tidy underneath also.

I take it the valves are open on cold start? If they are that's outright silly and will cause matters like what you are experiencing. -

Start it and drive off, have the valves closed on start up. -
Sorry to hear about that from last year. The import matter clearly has muddied the water with regards to year of registration however soon time to enjoy the Z 👍

Nice motor and what a story, however MOT history goes back to 2008 at 25400 miles. It has no current MOT sadly.

Those look fantastic pal!! I bet they hold you tighter than your true love. Steering wheel, gear shifter and now seats ✅

I know it's subjective, however it doesn't seem easy to get a good noise out of the new Z 🤷🏽♂️

You've played it well then infact being self insured effectively. Definitely makes sense like with most fun cars to have a repair kitty set aside for things other than routine servicing and repair work. Amazing to think in order to get a Porsche warranty for a used vehicle, one would have to possibly spend considerably first then again for the premium on top. -
Thought I'd give CarChem Lockdown sealant a try. Lack of use and correct wash technique meant there's been very little maring or contamination build up requiring claying or tar remover. Washed and dried, this was then applied in cross hatch motion a couple panels at a time given the low single digit temperatures. It's currently sitting on top of my go to drying aid Turtle Wax hybrid sealant, albeit a few weeks old. These will either compliment each other or il be left with little to no protection in a months time. Very nice to use, easy on easy off however can imagine in the Summer months would dry on the surface rather quickly. Left it on the rear glass a tad longer than idea and the rainbow flashing proved a little firm to buff off.

Definitely sounds like a car whereby an aftermarket warranty is needed, however I doubt they'd cover those particular items being classed as wear & tear. @GranTurismoEra want the badge (synonymous with poise & refinement) need to spend the £££ Followed a Cayman the other day and while lovely, below a GT4 I wouldn't say they're a manly looking car in my honest opinion. -
Looks beautiful 😍 Keep the tinkering going

Fantastic rediscovery, thanks for sharing. That 350bhp N/A car looks a right treat, very nice engine build. Tasty power considering it has OE cats still fitted. A great looking car then and among the VAG clone boxes even more so today.

Of course, thoroughly clean and degrease they sidewalls - then do it all again.
