  1. I've had my Halfords socket set for about 14 years and havent broken a thing yet
  2. Some manufacturers only apply goodwill to customers who have a full dealer history as well, which is something to consider
  3. If you have the car on pcp check your contract some insist on dealer servicing , but tbh after spending that much on the car I wouldnt skimp on dealer history it will make a difference to some buyers
  4. It will do that for a week or two , its very common it needs to dry out properly , they should have told you this If its still like it after a couple of weeks go back , do NOT mess with it in the meantime
  5. You like the Juke but dis Vauxhall? mmm
  6. They will all bankrupt you they are V8's The VXR8 doesnt have the fancy tech a 370z has let alone high end stuff , the in car entertainment is woeful and 400hp really isnt a lot in a car like that its has similar performance to the 370z, plus you need specialist garages for work/parts etc VXR8 doesn’t look special its just too much Vectra for me and its really not special inside £20k for a 8 yr old Vauxhall with 77k on it just doesnt seem good value to me https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/vauxhall/vxr8/09-09-vauxhall-vxr8-6-2-v8-ls3-6-speed-rare-manual-bi-modal-exhaust/7085168 When you could have a IS-F for £18k with just 43k on it, the IS-F is an excellent drivers car http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201704194579078?model=IS%20F&radius=1500&make=LEXUS&sort=sponsored&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=wf82lt&page=1
  7. I had shortlisted the VXR8 but just felt that spending 22k on a 2009 car just wasnt enough for the money, they are really basic, we also thought about stretching to a Gen F but really wasnt impressed with the performance at all , really didnt feel that quick , although they are but dealer wanting a £5k deposit and 12 month waiting times really put pay to that Had I not bought the Jag I would've got the IS-F , great cars
  8. Might be worth speaking to these guys http://www.universal-turbos.com/performance-turbos.asp They may be able to rebuild it for you if you get the kit , have a chat with them
  9. Dodge Demon is factory drag race special with drag tyres, that's cheating really imo, some road bikes can hit 60 in 2.3 secs The fastest on the planet did 386mph in 3.58 seconds and a 0-60 in 1.2 seconds over 30 years ago , no petrol was used then either
  10. Some of the guys on the US forums had uprated impellors fitted , adds a bit more hp
  11. They cant rebuild them as far as I'm aware , probably best to go to Vortech
  12. We moved in before we completed Well had the keys and opportunity to redecorate
  13. +1, can totally appreciate the engineering and stuff (particularly when they are flying past you at Nur) but just find them a bit weird to drive. Exactly , right , they are impressive bits of kit for sure and i like the way they are put together , I even quite like the look of some models but they really aren't a car I'd ever aspire to own
  14. Condition, condition , condition , every time , a tidy well looked after and maintained car is desirable whatever version it is
  15. A mate of mine has a stock unmolested R33 Skyline , I keep telling him the more he does to it the less it will be worth , think the 350z is a way off that though , cant help feeling its more likely to go the way of the FTO , ie hugely popular on the scene 10 years ago but hardly ever see a good one nowadays
  16. They normally sell well on ebay , the base model 370z autos in the US dont come with flappy paddles but they have the wiring already there , two paddles and a new lower steering cowling and job is jobbed
  17. Thats a plus then on the 'box , iirc a new prop shaft is about £1300 from Nissan . If there is play in the joints you might be able to feel that if you drop it off, is there any damage to the outside carbon ? Might be worth checking that the auto and manual are the same length if you buy a used one
  18. so if you get to 60 and then shift to neutral and drop to idle does it still do it ?
  19. Driveshafts seems quite a leap , you must have checked a lot more already Slip in the trans sounds serious , plus side is replacement boxes for these are cheap
  20. My son has just passed his test and I did his Citroen C1 for him last week , doing my Jag this week
  21. Read the description. Spoiler had been removed and made it unstable. that's what he says but that wasn't the cause of the spin, snapping off the throttle onto the brakes is what did it
  22. yes No easy answer this could be any of the above or something else altogether , need to be methodical and check each component in turn.
