  1. Id go to France, no chance of points on the license..... is the missus a champagne fan?
  2. some electrical stuff to be finished off, waiting to hear back from Sly.
  3. Kilimanjaro is on my list for July..... there is a place in London that does altitude assessments and training. https://www.altitudecentre.com/
  4. I agree somewhat we bought a brand new Freelander back in 99 , the car was dire, the worst I ever had , in the first 1100 miles the brake pedal fell off - no brakes, the fuel gauge stopped working , the boot filled with water, the brake lights failed amongst other things , over the next 3 years it didn't get any better , I was glad to get shot of it and vowed I would never buy another I could also add horror stories about Nissan, Mercedes VW and Audi based on previous experience but how long do you hold a grudge, dealerships change hands , brands alter , I used to find Skoda excellent , I've bought 4 of them but there arent as good as they used to be But I have never had the attention I got when buying a 4 year old used car from Jaguar , they really went the extra mile and the customer service so far has been excellent, the buying experience has been the best I ever had How many dealers do this for a used car ? Never had this on a new one not even paying £40k for a new Mercedes , they couldnt have cared less didnt even put any fuel in it I agree completely, but the big issue I have with it all was not the dealer (they were shocking in their own right), however the LRJ handled was terrible!!! They told us to buy another car........ a new Land Rover/Range Rover and then they might help. Heres the an interesting website http://www.landroverhell.com/
  5. For me the issue with the F-Type is Land Rover Jaguar.... the aftersales is truly shocking!!! Bought a new Range Rover a few years ago and they were just terrible!!! Not to mention the amount of issues we had. I also know someone that had a complete electronics failure on a top of the range F-Type, it lost brakes, steering, everything!!! Luckily he was going slowly at the time.... Besides, Id much rather have an Aston!!
  6. Great looking car..... always fancied one for track!
  7. Sounding better and better My first track day is at Thruxton on 31 March, will be out in the GTR, but will also be talking to a friend about storing a track car for me........
  8. Pretty much my thinking...... dont need silly speed, just RWD and fun! Worst case, the engines are not expensive to just drop another one in, sadly, if an engine lasts 3 track days, its cheaper to run than the GTR - not sure why I am laughing about that, but is funny for me
  9. I am tempted by one of these as a track day toy, instead using brakes and tyres on the GTR
  10. Its depends on what event I do or how many track days This last week, nothing, only drove to Knightsbridge and back (7 miles), but the previous week I went to Wales, drive out and then drove back to London, so at a guess 2 tanks of fuel - £80 a go

    Poor zaffy

If the car is going to be trashed (on the inside) anyway, make sure the outside is something you can live with
  12. I completely agree with Dan, sadly on this he is 100%, get it sorted in writing as soon as possible and walk/run away!
  13. Get the discussion over with and move on.... and as said above, email or text message, at least then you also have proof of what was discussed, when, etc
  14. Boosted MX5 was great fun! Absolute mental machine on track.... tyres lasted ages and could keep up with a lot of things that should have just disappeared Without the SC, its definitely still a great fun little car and worth doing!
  15. Interesting..... will depend where, as I am London as well.... but the GTR is about
  16. I have never had kids, never wanted.... IMO you cannot hang out to the hope that she might change her mind. If this is the 3rd break up in a year, there is something wrong. You need to move on and hanging around (with feelings for her) will just hold you back and screw with your head even more. If you want to see the child, I would suggest that that is arranged and you do NOT spend time at her place. But then what happens when she finds someone else, doesnt want you around at all anymore and tells you thats it, you cannot see the child. It will be easier for you to do both at the same time. Personally, I ended my 15 year relationship last year, no contact except for information about the split of assets. Its the only way to do it!
  17. Didnt realise there was a dinner party as well
  18. Other than some that have already been mentioned:- Chuck Norris - grew up watching Eric Bana - if you havent seen it, watch Love the Beast Kate Beckinsale - just because she looks awesome in tight PVC!!! Keanu Reeves - the s**t he has been through in his life and still remains humble These 2 would have to be a double date:- Ryan Tuerck Chris Forsberg
  19. Is it height adjustable? Even on non-adjustable suspension, they'll work wonders. They transformed my 911 from generic understeer sportscar into nimble rear-biased throttle-steerable hero. Honestly dont know..... dampening can be adjusted, but not sure about height. Good to know then, thanks
  20. Hmmmm, tempted to see what they can get out of the GTR, yours sounds to be an awesome result Though I am on the standard suspension (from a 2012 car).
  21. Thanks. And yes, I believe cars should be driven as intended Coated? As in sealant - yes.... been tempted by the protection wraps
